Oggi Salons and Spa

Anna does such a terrific job shaping and waxing my eyebrows. I have tried many nail salons and even Ulta’s Brow Bar and it’s all been so inconsistent. Some are lazy and just wax, they don’t bother doing any shaping. Others simply disregard my request to NOT make my eyebrows thin {my ultimate pet peeve! Argh!} Anna is the only one, aside from my mom who is also excellent, who listens and actually takes time to shape my brows, not just tear them apart with hot wax. She’s also a complete sweetheart.
The only pitfall I have about Oggi is the hours and the prices. The hours are tough to work around if you work full time and the prices are a bit steep. They do have limited hours on the weekends, but those can be busy. I once had a facial here, which Anna did a really great job with, but it was expensive. Not surprising though because this is a pretty fancy salon. Anna charges roughly $ 20 for brows, which is not too bad considering the effort she puts in. She sometimes spends up to 30 mins. doing just my brows! Anna clearly takes pride in her work and that’s why I keep coming back.

Since I left San Antonio, TX in ¹⁰⁄₁₂ and moved here, like with all moves, you have to find new dr’s, dentists, hairstylists, etc. Well one thing most girls need to find is a good esthetician. I loved the European Wax Center, however, out here the closest one is in Fairfield and that’s too far. So I went to Unilocal and there honestly weren’t a whole lot of reviews for a good place for a brazilian. Either it’s not something people do on the East Coast or nobody talks about it. Well I wish they would because you don’t want to just trust anyone with your hooha! (Rule of thumb ladies). Anyway, I also found out in CT you don’t need to be licensed to wax people.yikes. Ladies… ALWAYS ask for a licensed esthetician. I’ve heard horror stories and I know I don’t want to be one. Anyway, so I decided to try Oggi Estetica. I was familiar with the Oggi name and it’s close to work AND they have a licensed esthetician and she’s amazing! I was lucky to find someone I trusted and felt comfortable with on the first try. Yay Oggi!
