History
Established in 1975.
This resturant was started in 1959 by two friends of Polish descent that were named Gene. They wanted to make it sound ‘Italian” so they added an «o» to their names and Pizza by Geneo’s was born.
Originally 5 resturants were part of this family owned chain, but this the original is all that’s left. The current owner worked for the founders at the long shuttered Beverly location while still in high school back in the 1970’s. When the old men decided to retire, he bought this location from them and is still there to this day making pizza the same way it’s been made for over 50 years.
Chains have come and gone, quality has been replaced by cheaper ingredients, phony dairy products and promises of $ 5 fast & readies, but here at Pizza by Geneo we don’t cut corners, we use real ingredients and it’s a taste of heaven.

Business Owner
Paul started working for the original owners while still a Morgan Park H.S. student back in the early 1970’s. In the 1980’s he bought the Harvey location (the other stores closed or changed names) and continued making pizzas the way they’ve been made for over 50 years.
