We all have bad days… Three in a row? I ordered the Beef Guard. Pizza. Told them no Giard. and no sweet peppers. Sure enough I got the pizza and it had peppers. The cashier was pleasant. She showed Pedro who I think was manager on duty. No sorry or apology from him. So the pizza that the menu says takes 5 minutes took 22 minutes instead. Joke is on me. When the pizza was handed to me, I opened it up to look at it. It was partly folded over on itself. Third time is suppose to be the charm. In this case it is 3 strikes and you are out. I’m done.

I have had so many reasons to leave a bad review before… I just got a grilled chicken avocado sandwich, and I just threw it away! The whole chicken was hard and un-edible. So I threw $ 8 away. Now why would I leave a bad review before? Well I’ve found multiple hairs in my food before and it’s actually happened to me a handful of times. Absolutely disgusting. After today I definitely just won’t come back. This place is getting worse. To any one that comes here, look at your food before eating. You’ll definitely have hair in there.

I ordered from the drive-thru the chicken artichoke panini with a side salad and lemonade. Great meal for the summer, and not too heavy. Looking forward to trying other menu items.

Very disappointed in this location. I’ve given it a pass on some of the poor service and food hoping they would work out the newbie kinks, but after 6 months you should be run like your other locations. Tonight, I ordered a cheeseburger value deal. I asked for cheddar cheese which was listed on the bill and the order ticket. I wonder if your staff can tell cheddar from American cheese? I guess not as I got American cheese. By the way, that was an extra .50. In addition, I ordered cheese fries, also an extra .50, while the fries were nice and hot(though too salty) the cheese cup that you charged extra for was half full. Skimping on the cheese, providing the wrong cheese on my burger all add up to the end of my visits to your location. Given the amount of time you take to secure the order and deliver the food, I don’t understand why you can’t get things right? You were not busy, there was one car ahead of me in line.

This location just opened a few months ago and I’ve been here two times already. Beef is wonderful as always, and good parmesian chips.

good and fast service. clean fast food restaurant. i ordered the buona beef with fries… I was surprised on how good it was for a fast food chain! seasoned and cooked well. wasn’t too much gravy to make the bread soggy. the fries was nice and hot. also crispy! would definitely come back!

I had heard a lot of great things about Buona and was excited when I saw they were coming to Harwood Heights. Prior to opening, they had a trailer that they brought to the soccer field down the street, and were handing out free samples during the weekend soccer games. They were amazing! However, after they opened, the beef sold in the store tasted nothing like the free samples. It’s loaded with black pepper and what seems to be the gardinara juice because it has quite a kick. The sample sandwiches didn’t have that, and we liked those much better. It was rather disappointing to spend all that money for my daughter and I to throw ours away. My husband enjoyed it, though. Next time he went, he brought me back a fried chicken sandwich instead, which was overcooked, dry, and served on a sad-looking bun with some limp soggy lettuce. That was the last time I ate there.

I’ve gone here a few times now. The atmosphere is surprisingly pleasant for a fast food restaurant and the crispy chicken sandwich is always cooked well and tastes great. My main issue is that every time I’ve gone here so far either the Parmesan chips or the fries are always over cooked. This is just a minor issue though since the main entrée, staff, and atmosphere are always great.

These guys know how to do a good beef sandwich. Friendly staff, down to earth, very open floor plan, good vibes. Decent selection of beers, and best of all they really respect our military people! Way to go! I wish there were more places like you

So glad we finally tried this place! We ordered the 2 Buona Beef with hot giardiniera and one with sweet peppers, one burger with bacon, a small sausage pizza, a couple of soups and fresh fruits. We ate it family style getting a taste from each order and had leftovers. The Buona Beef is an Italian beef sandwich with just the right amount of sauce and the cheese stretches as you pull away from the bite. The beef is not dried or overly cooked like most places, with flavors all throughout the sandwich. My daughter said that the soups looked small, but the bowls were deep and she kept eating and eating trying to find the bottom. They said that they made a medium size pizza even when we ordered the small – and charged us for the small :). I don’t think I’ve ever said this about a pizza, but they actually used fresh ingredients! You can taste the fresh tomatoes in the sauce. My husband didn’t believe me until he tried a slice for himself. I can’t speak for the other locations, but the services here are awesome! People takings he orders are genuine – or at least they pretended really well. The cleaning staff are efficient and it is festively busy with a healthy wave of folks eating in, ordering out, and picking up online orders. Not as chaotic as Potbelly, better Italian beef than Al’s, and one of the freshest pizzas I’ve had in Chicago.

this is a new Buona Beef and this is the first time I visited. The girl who took my order was the same one to give me my food, she was VERY nice and struck a conversation about my nails. I had the Turkey Delizioso. Its awesome and will def be getting another one in the near future. I will dine in next time also so I can check out the décor. I haven’t been to a Buona Beef in years bc none were close to my house, they have updated their menu SO much. They have pizza, paninis, and salads.

Tried this new location out twice. Both times for pick-up. The phone ordering was extremely tedious and took much too long. The person kept repeating back every single word I said, and was overly excited doing so. Got to the store and we were offered a drink while we waited. We turned it down, but was given one anyway. That was very gracious. Got our food, drove home, sat down to eat and found that one of the sandwiches was not what we ordered. Even though the order taker had repeated everything back to us, we didn’t get what we ordered. The receipt was right, but someone packed the wrong sandwich. We called in and Nick apologized and sent a credit to us via email. That was kind and done in a timely manner. Second attempt, placed our order and drove over right away to pick it up. We stood in line, gave our order number and were told to go stand at the end of the counter for it. We waited, and waited, and watch many other people walk by us with their food? We went to the counter and asked where our order was. We were told in a snotty voice, that it’s been ready. Well… How were we going to know that? Management runs to get it and apologizes once again. Went home, had the right order, but it was cold. Very unhappy. Also, beef sandwiches were overly salty, both times. Cheesy beefs had barely any cheese on them, both times. Couldn’t even see it on sandwich, it was so minimal. I suggest you go across the street to the bakery in the little strip mall, and enjoy their cheesy beef on garlic bread.

I was really excited to see this open near me because I’ve heard good things. My family tried it for the first time today. It was disappointing to say the least. The kids meal that was supposed to include a drink was missing. The beef itself was ok but the gravy was just salty and generic. I had a cheesy beef and I didn’t taste any cheese. I looked for cheese and saw a hint of it but it was basically undetectable. This amount we payed for everything was not at all a good value. They have some good salads on the menu that might be good but I probably won’t go back after today. Looks like the other place we normally go to in the area for beef has nothing to worry about. What a load of hype this place was.

We were looking very forward to the opening of this location as we are longtime fans of Buona. Most likely because of the lot size and shape, most of the parking is on the opposite side of the entrance. Upon entering, I was pleased to see a wide open dining area with some TVs tuned to sports programming. A cheerful young lady took the order, making appropriate comments to the choices. I ordered the food to go and it was prepared quickly and I was on my way. The personal size pepperoni pizza was hot and had plenty of cheese on it. The meatball sandwich was almost too much, the Parmesan chips were great The naked combo was hot and tasty. The only downer was that there was not one piece of chicken to be found in the bowl of Chicken Penne soup that was ordered. All in all not bad for only being open for four days
