This is such a cute gift store! I came here with a friend from work on a Saturday. It’s a short, scenic train ride from Grand Central Station(and a short hike up the hill once we got to Hastings on Hudson). It looks small from the outside but I found myself spending over an hour in the store looking for Christmas gifts for friends and family. It’s very much like treasure hunting, there are so many different items at every price point imaginable. They have jewelry, accessories, kitchen stuff, desk accessories, and… all sorts of gifts. It can get a little overwhelming — there are just so many things! I checked out their website and it doesn’t do the in-store inventory justice. They have a much wider selection in store. They did a wonderful job gift wrapping and packing my purchased items for travel(for free!). Very thoughtful, attentive staff who let you roam around to explore the store but is always there ready to answer questions whenever you need them. The prices, I must admit, are surprisingly reasonable(I’m cheap and am constantly comparing prices before I buy things, even for everyday items). I bought a number of baby shower gifts(I’m at that point in life where my friends are popping out babies at an unprecedented rate). The gifts are priced competitively to similar items on but they are cuter and of higher quality! The only thing I’m unsure about is the knitwear/accessories. I got a cute knit cap at a very reasonable price but noticed that there was a thin layer of dust on it, and wondered how long it’s been sitting there. Karen, the store owner, stands behind every product she sells. She has samples for most of the cookies/edibles that she has in the store. The Christmas cookies come in the cutest packaging and taste great. Definitely felt like it was money well spent on the gifts I got. Also, I got myself a really adorable Christmas ornament(they have the most unique collection of ornaments for dog lovers, another great gift idea). Needless to say, I’ll be back!
