The hotel itself is very nice. Plenty of space and nice pool etc for the kids. No queen size beds available so that was a negative. The price was very fair for the level of hotel. The STAFF however was terrible. We called for ice (which you have to do, no ice machines) and never got it. Called. The front desk and every other extension to ask for pillows and no one picked up. Stood in the commissary line for 10 mins and no one would ring my 5 $ water bottle up. All in all not a good staff experience. The price is right though if you just want to lay your head in a nice hotel.

Pretty hotel, but staff seemed overwhelmed by amount of guest staying there. Only three elevators in lobby with long lines waiting to go up to room, used the stairs most of the time. Went to lobby bar to eat, ordered our food and it took about 45 – 50 mins to get our order. Then forgetting to serve or messing up some of the things we ordered. There was only one other table sitting at that time. Food was expensive and nothing special. In the morning we had brunch, there was no signs to where it was being hosted. There were no signs and staff just looked confused when we asked where the brunch was. the guests from other wedding parties were drunk and rude, problem with hosting so many different weddings at the same time. In the end the rooms were clean and comfortable. So if your looking for a clean place for guest to sleep then this will do.

The dust is so thick on the air cleaner in my hypoallergenic room that I wrote the word dust on it and it remains for the past two days. I assume that the dust is not hypoallergenic.

I had a horrible experience at the Hyatt this past weekend. I was getting married and myself, my bridal party, and my parents booked rooms for Friday and Saturday night. When they arrived at the hotel, they were told that their was no record of their booking. They took out their confirmation emails and even proof that they booked and paid months in advance, but all the Hyatt could tell them was sorry but their names weren’t in the system. When I arrived at the hotel, ironically my reservation was the only one they had. So while my entire family & bridal party had to be sent to the Marriott, I was by myself in tears the night before my wedding day. I had plans of spending the night before my wedding with my closest family & friends and instead I was alone. They tried to make it up to me by giving me a bottle of champagne & telling us that we could use one of the conference rooms to get ready in the next morning, but even that was a nightmare since the next day nobody knew anything about it. After talking to a few other guests on Saturday, it seems that the hotel overbooked by 40 rooms that weekend. & many guests had to be sent to other hotels. When I was checking out on Sunday morning, there were several guests complaining at the front desk, and we heard that the night before the cops had to be called. Stay away from this hotel! It was a nightmare & I should’ve listened to the bad reviews and booked elsewhere

This is no star hotel but for my review to be posted I had to give it something. Do not stay at this hotel! The sales department is totally inept! We had booked a block of rooms for my daughter’s wedding and they could not keep the reservations straight. This all started back in January and the wedding was in May, plenty of time to get this perfectly organized. Myself and my guests had to call numerous times to book our reservations. They kept reserving then cancelling our rooms. They tried to blamed the central reservations office saying that it was their fault because they are off site. Which was not true because we were in direct communication with their onsite sales office via email. When we arrived for the wedding they had incorrectly booked 16 of our guests! Instead of being accommodating and nice to us, the front desk was rude. It was very frustrating. They even went as far as to suggest that our guests bunk with each other, including one guest who had a one year old baby! Not one desk clerk or manager we spoke with would take accountability for what had transpired. Stay far, far away from this place and save yourself the aggravation!

This is the worst hotel to stay in if you are attending a wedding nearby. Stay at the Marriott where they have y their act together. They overbooked making many people scramble to find places to stay. The bridal party even had to stay at a different hotel. We love Hyatt & this is our first bad experience.

Traveled 2 LI which is basically home where I grew up for a bridal shower. Checked into the Hyatt Regency on Thursday 4 /​7through Sunday 4÷10… one of the main reasons I originally booked this hotel was I know that they were going to be blocking room for this hotel in June for the wedding. The wedding is going to be not too far from there and they wanted a place that would be close to stuff and have a lot of stuff in it for people coming out of state anyway. I like a nice hotel and I could not believe the price I was paying they give us a discount and being a teacher or a retired teacher assistant job if you’re in the public school system. This hotel was redone within the last few years. The room was so neat and clean. You do not get your ice. call the front desk ²⁴⁄₇ may bring it up to you. You need towels they will bring them up 24 – 7 and take your dirty ones period room service until midnight doing. Drinks & sandwich in Nu Lounge delicious humongous sandwich strong great French martinis! I didn’t want to leave the bed was so comfortable! On the weekend the hotel was pretty busy some people said they come just to go to the lounge to hang out and drink enough food. There was a wedding in The Grand Ballroom Friday night and on Saturday there was some kind of dance competition. You did not hear anything in your room but there was a few kids that did run up and down the hallway making noise but they were there for the dance competition I was on the 5^th floor. I am a Hyatt Platinum member I had my first two nights free then they wanted to upgrade me and moves me up and I was not going to pack up my stuff and move so they’re going to see the upgrades for June. They have an indoor heated pool, sauna jacuzzi outdoor pool Golf Course. Within about 15 minutes you are at a huge Mall. Long Island is a lot to do so basically you can go anywhere and everywhere from you here because it’s so centrally located. As soon as you walk in there big dispensers of ice water with lemon orange set up for their guess they don’t want you to lift a finger. Restaurants are open late, the room service, you can also order breakfast and have it deliver between a certain time period by hanging the tag on your door. There’s also a breakfast buffet every morning on the Grand Ballroom terrorist. There’s also a open ²⁴⁄₇ where you can buy snacks drinks etc. No microwave in the room but if you need one they will bring one up to the room for you. I could go on and on you need to experience it for yourself it’s definitely worth it I will not stay anywhere else on the island when needing to stay in Suffolk County

Called a month or so ago attempting to set up a wedding room block. Got passed from one person to another only to be told I would get a call back from the person in charge of special events. No one ever called. I called again «Please! Here! Take my money, just tell me how my guests and I can come stay with you!» (or at least thats what I felt like I was saying as I chased after them in an attempt to give them my business).
None of the staff seem to be on the same page as one another. If you speak to 5 different people you’ll get 5 different quotes: My fiancé and I spoke to two different people within 2 hrs of each other (entirely unintentional… we didn’t realize the other person had called) and got two different quotes which varied by a whopping $ 20 per room. After considering our options I called back to book. The person I was originally dealing with wasn’t available so I spoke with another who didn’t even bother to look up the date I was requesting a room block for before insisting I had to book a minimum two day stay (prior person said that would not be necessary). After I repeatedly said «are you sure? I’m trying to book for _​_​day. Are you sure this applies for my day?» they grudgingly looked it up and sure enough it was not required. It’s clear the staff didn’t give half a sh*t about their jobs or making a sale as they couldn’t even be bothered to look and see which date i’m referring to for an entire block of rooms.
The complete lack of professionalism and care caused me to be extremely concerned that all my guests might have an unpleasant experience if I booked at this hotel for them. My fears were confirmed after I turned to Unilocal and saw all the horrendous experiences others had at this Hyatt. The rooms are not exactly cheap so I expected a little more than this. Needless to say, I ended up booking elsewhere.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I’m only rating it four stars because I felt the customer service upon check-​in could have been a little more helpful (they didn’t direct us to the elevators or explain the layout of the hotel, we had to figure out where our room and the pool was on our own) but they were super friendly and the pool was barely heated/​the jacuzzi was out of service. Other than that, I had no complaints. It’s a huge hotel and everything looked so nice. I got a really good deal and definitely got my money’s worth. That being said, I think the average price is like $ 165/​nightly, I wouldn’t pay that but for the price I paid, it was definitely worth it. The rooms were clean and I loved the mirror over the sink but the bathroom lighting was really dark. They had a fridge and a microwave, which I really appreciated it. I found this room really last minute and had already stayed somewhere else for two days but if I could do it again, I would have just stayed here. EDIT* Changed to five stars because we left our bathing suits and they held them for us! We both really liked our swim suits so we’re super relieved.

I’ve stayed here countless times the last 7 years. They have recently updated the rooms and lobby area, but according to my colleagues have had issues with theft the last year or so. I personally didn’t have any issues until recently because I typically ask for my room to not be entered, however, this last trip I forgot a pair of Tory Burch flip flops. I contacted the hotel 4 times over the course of 4 days, but the only help provided by the front desk was checking the housekeeping log to see if anything was turned in. When I was finally directed to the housekeeping manager I received a voicemail, but never a returned call.
The hotel is nice enough, just don’t have anything of value in your room!

I booked this hotel primarily due to location and was a bit concerned about some of the recent ratings that were appearing on-​line. I must say that I’m not sure some of those ratings were actually for this hotel. I was greeted warmly by the doorman and the young man at the front desk was one of the most personable and professionals I’ve seen in any hotel. Registration was fast and efficient despite the fact that 4 of us arrived at the same time.
My room was spotless and well appointed. The bed was quite comfortable and the desk was very adequate for catching up on work. Outlets were conveniently located on top of the desk and along the front of the desk — no need to crawl underneath looking for an outlet.
I had dinner in the hotel bar and the service was exceptional. I was seated at the bar and the bartender was very personable and professional and stayed on top of everyone’s needs. The food (burger and fries) was well-​prepared and very good. And the bar had 3 local craft brews on tap — in addition to national brands.
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was a little more challenging — service was very good but the was a «malfunction» in the kitchen and it took quite a while for my food to come out. Timing aside, the eggs benedict were exceptional and the hotel comp’ed my breakfast due to the delay in being served. I had no complained and they comp’ed this at their own initiative. There was also a breakfast buffet and most of the patrons in the restaurant were going for the buffet as opposed to ordering off the menu.
Overall — I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I were staying at this hotel for a wedding and experienced our worst nightmare while there.
Long story short; we found a used condom on the floor just next to our bed. You can imagine our horror and disgust. Now, here’s the worst part; the hotel manager (Karen) accused us of lying. She sided with hotel employee feedback that the room was thoroughly cleaned and checked, and said our claim was bogus. Clearly, the employees here are perfect, never make mistakes, and would take responsibility for something like this if they thought is was their fault. They are all so full of integrity and dedication towards their jobs, that I MUST be lying about this.
Karen, you are an imbecile. To treat us as though we would lie about something like this to gain some sort of benefit or freebie from the hotel is just insulting. It also goes against every basic principal behind the concept of hospitality.
DON’T STAY HERE. If you miss this review and unfortunately have to experience this hell –hole of a hotel, I’m sorry.
The Hyatt brand should be embarrassed and ashamed.

From the parking to signing in customer service was friendly and inviting. Very nicely laid out with concierge available throught for questions and (directions). Kudos to workers Monica, John, Britney and karen. I did have a few hiccups with cold water in the room, over cooked steak and no bacon, but when asked to rectify it was done immediately with kindness. Love it.

We stayed here early this month and the hotel was nice, rooms clean but the worst customer service. The hotel is under staffed. I had to order Ice to the room since they do not have ice machines on every floor. After one hour of waiting for my Ice I called and they said oh we are sorry we forgot. Also the lobby bar has good food and drinks but again not enough people to work. The wait to be served is quite long. I dropped my sweater at the parking lot and called to see if they had it, they confirmed the had it. When I called couple of weeks later and asked if they still had my sweater so someone could pick it up I got no answer. The receptionist put me through the house keeping who is in charge of lost and found, no answer. Left message on phone never received a reply. Called back and the receptionist was unable to help me only house keeping would.
It is really unfortunate, as a member of Hyatt I expected more.

Horrible place to stay. I would never ever stay here again. Stayed for a week on business. Got there and our nonsmoking room smelled horribly like smoke. Next the tub would not even drain the whole time taking a shower. Our sheets had crusty blood or puke stains on them. House keeping said oh our bad that was it. Breakfast buffet was horrible, fake eggs, no Pancakes or waffles like every other hotel nowadays. Finally have to walk super far just from the oat ng lot. There was nothing Pleasant about this place at all. Don’t ever stay here.

Take caution if you plan on having an event here…
The space is great, however the management is horrible. I can’t speak to all the managers/​event coordinators there, however my experience with some of them was poor. We had few options so still had the event at this location, but it was a difficult journey with them. They would change the contract/​prices or act as if things weren’t available when we had seen the same things at prior events…
Whenever we tried to call, supervisors/​managers were rarely available. The suite they provided was lacking in standard amenities. When we called the front desk to replace or actually get them for us they would hang up. We lost some valuables and they were less than helpful with finding them. (Not answering calls etc.)
Furthermore, they overbooked their rooms and I had family waiting until 7pm to get their rooms… (It was not just one room either). At the event, they ended up using the smaller salad plates rather than the bigger dinner plates because they ran out… This hotel is very poorly run and we certainly expected better service.

We went here for this year’s fire deptartment dinner. The hotel itself is nice looking and the rooms are pretty decent, but as far as a catering venue, it’s not so great.
Cocktail hour was small, and had very little food. The tray food itself wasn’t very appetizing, and to be honest the appetizers from the walking staff were better than anything else.
The dinner portion was just as lackluster. Pasta was fake penne a la vodka which tasted of literally nothing. Even mountains of parmesan wasn’t enough to give it flavor. We had chicken saltimbocca as the main course. The mashed potatoes were ironically the best part, since they actually tasted like what they were. The chicken itself was mediocre, overly salty, but we were able to finish most of ours.
The viennese hour looked impressive from afar since there were a lot of tables out, but upon getting up close, every single table had the same spread: a handful of cakes, the few of which we tried were really dry and meh, plus some generic Italian-​style bakery cookies which were also dry. Even so, each table was pretty sparse too. There WAS a chocolate fountain, which was the saving grace, though those make an appearance at every formal event now-​a-​days so they’re not really a novelty anymore.
Overall there was very little food, and what there was ended up being pretty bad. I know catering large groups is tough, but like, there was no redeeming grace here. Pick one. Either have just-​okay food but put out a ton of it, or instead have great food in low numbers.
Also as a quick aside, one of our members at our table is a practicing Muslim whom requested no prosciutto on the chicken saltimbocca. They messed it up or just ignored the request and still put some on. Unfortunately for him, it was under the cheese layer and he didn’t notice until already having a few bites. Poor guy is going to hell now :(

The location and property are immaculate. The golf course is pretty and there is a nice driving range as well. In November 2014, we had to plan a literal last-​minute additional wedding event and accommodate about 200 guests in overnight guestrooms.
Doris Grant is a rainmaker and Hyatt should send her to national upper management. We had the BEST experience with our banquet room, hotel room/​amenities as well as customer service.
The only con we had was the check-​in desk staff’s general lackadaisical attitude when asked to help with searching for precious lost and found items. I guess these are hourly employees or trainees.
