My husband and I have been here three times. We like to give places a fair chance, plus the A1 people were on vacation. This third time, will be our last. The food is okay, mediocre… but the service is HORRIBLE. Always horrible. The waitress we had today refused to listen, she just kept talking over me, no big surprise when she forgot one of the things we ordered. Do not go here, it is not worth the aggravation.

Someone from the 50’s might appreciate this diner better. We have been here a few times, most recently for the classic car cruise night which they have once a week in the summer months. The inside of the diner is all 50’s decked out. 45’s hang from the ceiling by strings, Marilyn and Elvis photos are everywhere. Classic car models are all over the counters. The food can be better. Very inconsistent. We ordered 2 burgers and 1 was so rare it was nearly raw. The other. medium well. Not much is fresh here. Most processed or pre-made or frozen. They used to be open for dinner, now breakfast only except for the cruise nights. The adjoining Burke’s ice cream counter is open at night.

After our favorite diner was closed this morning, my husband and I drove around Haverhill a little looking for a nice place to have breakfast. We stopped at Burke’s which is a diner/ice cream restaurant. From the pseudo 50’s ‘atmosphere’ to the incredibly rude, self-absorbed wait staff(yes, all of them!) to the mediocre food, I cannot stress enough how we would not only never return to this place but continue to warn others, stay away!
