Primo is totally one of the better pizza and sub shops in Haverhill! They make a bianco pizza that has homemade Alfredo sauce on it. It’s crazy delicious! I like to order that topped with fried eggplant and red onions. Yum! Definitely order ahead on the phone and give them a good 20 – 30 minutes to get things made. They take quite a while seeing how it’s just the owner and 1 person to prep things. The owner awesome though! One of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met.

Love their salads, onion rings steak tips, pizza was pretty good. The one thing that I really didn;t like at all was the meat pie. It was more like having hamburg w /onions, peppers, and cheese plus it was greasy yuk !!. Steak & Cheese was good. I will order from them again

Awesome spot, excellent Chicken Broccoli Ziti! The staff was incredibly polite and friendly. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for quality food, great portions, and reasonable prices.

I wanted to give this place more stars because the food is actually pretty good but I cant. Today when I went in, I saw the lady preparing my salad with NO gloves on. She was literally pressing down on the lettuce into the box with her bare hands. Then, I saw the delivery driver come back with money in his hands… he put the money down and started preparing food. didn’t even wash his hands or put on gloves after handling money. GROSS and UNSANITARY

The owner of Primo’s who I believe is the older guy that usually is at the counter is SO friendly and sweet. I’m a huge fan of their Steak and Cheese subs. I was there weekly and I don’t even care, it was delicious.

When I first started working in the area I instantly heard stories about Primo… my co-workers would say«even if you order 1 cold sandwich, you have to call it in ATLEAST30 minutes before or else it more than likely will NOT be ready.» I laughed, thinking they were joking… but they were not. They have also said how flustered the owner gets if he gets too busy(which is going to happen around lunch time…) and how they’ve waited over an hour for a single cold sandwich with no apology… but I digress. So on my first day of work, after hearing these warnings and finding out that they already called in their order at 11am(to pick up at 12:15)… for a single BLT… I became scared to death of messing my lunch order up …(I became reminiscent of the«no soup for you!» Seinfeld episode)… I called in a simple cold turkey sub with mayo & pickles right before 11:30am. When I sprinted there right at 12:01 to pick it up, it was ready — but it was soggy. really soggy… yuck. That probably happened because there was no need to make it 30 minutes before I would get it. That sub should’ve taken 2 minutes to throw together, right?! … is anyone else seeing a flaw in the operations here? I’ve been back a couple times to try different things, the subs & wraps are just alright(pictured), but the grilled chicken salad & house dressing is rly good! I would recommend that. it’s just the way the place is run that lowers the star count for me, that has got to be looked in to, because he’s losing and has already lost business because of it. One last thing, If you call in your order and the lady who works there answers, it’s a whole different(and lovely) experience… but that never happens for me. Oh and if that guy calls me «hun» one more time I might just die. I don’t care who you are or where you work, it’s creepy.

I like the gyro. Was able to feed three male mountain bikers for under thirty bucks. They loved the place and will be back.

I think this is one of my two favorite places to go for subs in Haverhill. This place for food quality, DJ’s Roastbeef for price. Primo ALWAYS seems to have fresh fruits/vegetables. I’ve never gotten a yellowish green tomato here, but have at almost every other place in Haverhill. Peppers are super crunchy and the bread is fresh. They’re very nice and are happy to give you suggestions if you’re not sure what you want. I’ve had their pizza too, and it is also pretty good. All and all as far as Sub/Pizza places go this one is about as good as it can be. Also, stacy a. commented about the black olives versus kalamatas«no self-respecting Greek uses them» and while I agree that a Greek Salad should only have kalamata olives, this is not a Greek-owned shop rather it’s Italian. So it’s not exactly like a «House of Pizza» place, although it seems like it’s trying to be. It’s also worth mentioning that I’ve brought a lot of friends/family there when people are visiting me and in every case(5 different people) they were surprised at how good it was.

I’m giving this two stars because, «Meh, I’ve experienced better.» The pizza was RADICALLY underdone. However, I think I set them up to fail. I asked for a pizza that wasn’t on the menu — olives, feta, onion, mushroom, and peperoncini. But if I had ordered a cheese, would it have been the same thing? Undercooked is undercooked, regardless of toppings. When I got it home, I put the pizza in the oven at 500 degrees for about 15min. That browned and crisped things up nicely. The crust had a great flavor, but was too thin for all those toppings. I think maybe the mushrooms and onions released more moisture than we bargained for. Caramelized onions would be nice here. We also ordered jalapeño poppers and buffalo wings. These were both mass produced, frozen, and cooked up at the store. Possibly TGIFriday’s brand. They were fine but entirely generic. Oh, and no celery with the wings? Sad day for me. We had a Greek salad. The dressing had a nice tangy flavor. They used canned, sliced black olives. I hate this type of olive, and believe that no self-respecting Greek uses them for this application. It was a decent salad, but could’ve benefited for more robust slices and quantity of tomatoes and cucumbers, the addition of kalamata olives, and some nice slices of onion. They did have peperoncini on the salad however, and you don’t always see that. They were quite nice at the place, I can’t take anything away from them there. And they sent me a coupon for a free pizza when I moved to town. My first impression is not a great one. There are a lot of pizza places in Haverhill to try. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Good food. Fast service. The downside: the shopping plaza that it is in is a.) MOBBED all the time and b.) a real bitch to get in and out of. But the food is excellent, and they often have some great deals for lunch and dinner that make it even more affordable. Delicious food all around but like in many cases the parking kills it for me and I rarely go here.

Good, quick, reliable food. The owner here is an awesome guy. He basically runs the shop alone(he has 1 or 2 delivery guys, a deli person and an assistant pizza topper). When you come in the shop, he greets you with a smile. I’ve never been disappointed with the service — it is top notch. My only complain that keeps it from a 5 out of 5 is when it gets busy, he gets backed up fast because of a small pizza oven. But, on the bright side he manages the stress well and keeps the customers smiling even through the wait time.
