Re-fab Finds

Three times a charm I guess — I have been finding myself in Haverhill a lot lately and every attempt with my intrepid friend Frannie Z and the youngin’ to visit the store was a fail. The last time we tried, my daughter found in the window the most adorable pin cushion made inside a little tea cup but the place was closed and it was moving down the street.
Recently, we found ourselves in lovely downtown Haverhill during the Christmas Stroll and (yay!) the store was open. I like the idea of items getting re-​purposed and recycled into new things. I bought several Christmas gifts for family and friends but what we were really after was that pin cushion (my 10 year old recently started sewing). Well, it turns out during their move to the new spot, the one she wanted broke and the other ones they had were too big.
What happened next is what I call good customer service — she took my name and number down, asked my daughter what color she wanted, and in one week, she made a new one (see picture). It was perfect!

A new-​ish store in Haverhill’s downtown advertising «re-​claimed, re-​purposed and re-​invented treasures». There is some cute cute stuff here. Basically you can find some cute, original home décor items. She has many picture frames, lamps small tables and more. Prices are reasonable usually under $ 50 for small furniture pieces.
I like that they also try to get other local artists involved by allowing consignments in show. It also broadens their offerings. Go often as you’ll see new stuff all the time!
