Main Line Urgent Care Medical Group, P.C. is a private practice that specializes in the specialty of urgent care medicine. CareSTAT Urgent Care is the name by which we do business. Our company was founded by a local physician and remains the only privately owned, multisite, certified urgent care center in the region. Providing accessible, comprehensive, high-quality care is our mission — state of the art facilities including digital xray with PACS are available at all centers as are a variety of commonly prescribed non-narcotic medications as an added convenience to our patients. I have been there a number of times for myself and with my children. It was sold in February and just seems to have gone downhill. The girl told me I had a high deductible and had to pay $ 100. I don’t have any deductible and always pay $ 30. The staff had an attitude. We left and went to another Urgent Care in Villanova and paid my copay -$ 30!!!

Wife went in to see what could be done about pinkeye and what she should/shouldn’t do, they told her she might have iritis and sent her to a specialist. The specialist and even technician practically laughed her out — couldn’t believe Carestat would have thought it was anything other than a small case of pinkeye. What a waste of money.

Called in the early evening to ask what the copay was for a particular insurance plan. The receptionist refused to give any information over the phone, only to say that it could be anywhere between $ 10 and $ 100. This is a pretty big range. My wife was feeling pretty bad, so drove over to get a quote — $ 70. She decided to wait to see the primary care doctor the next day, where the copay is $ 20.
Why is it so hard to give insurance information over the phone? And why, in a situation where one is feeling unwell, is it impossible to simply answer the phone rather than make a potential patient go through several touch-tone prompts?
Bottom line: F for customer service.

This place was conveniently located for me. When I was here recently, I spent quite a while in the waiting room. I understand you’ll have to wait in the evening because it’s a popular time. The problem was that at any given moment there was at least 2 or 3 of the 6 workers there were goofing off. They would be eating, drinking, gabbing on the phone or texting. It’s very frustrating to be left waiting for so long and to see employees not even try to hide that they were not working. I’ll probably not go back to this clinic as I’ve been to others which are both nicer and better run.

I would give it zero stars if I could. After I discovered an unusual mark on my leg, I went there to get it looked at. Other than charging me $ 50 (insurance copy), they did nothing else right. They didn’t tell me what it was, but just what it wasn’t. Not exactly reassuring. While I was in the waiting room, I asked to use the restroom. The receptionist said that it wasn’t clean. That should’ve been the biggest red flag on earth. I’m definitely not going back.

Under new ownership. Despite checking in I was seen after my appointment time. Took forever once I was seen just to get scripts and the doctor didn’t list all of my diagnoses. Front desk was chaotic with what appeared to be new workers with one knowing what to do. If give another try but bummed they sold out.
Update 10 months later 12÷8÷15: went today and was told I had a balance. Could not tell me why or what for and billing is located in MD. Could not tell me why I had not gotten a bill either. To be seen I paid it but when I went to sign my credit card slip my co pay was higher and I saw documentation that said my balance was 6 dollars less than what I was told. The receptionist first said that was not mine, then it wasn’t for me and then that it was for my insurance company. I would not recommend coming here personally. I felt that this practice was sneaky and there is a lack of understanding and explanation regarding services, payments and what you’re signing. No thanks.

Idk why but I always pay attention to how the receptionist is, its like an important first impression to me I guess. I thought she was kinda rude and impatient on the phone, gesturing to outside patients that were waiting to «hurry up» towards the person on phone. Not professional in my opinion. However the nurse and dr were excellent and sincere. It was 130 just to walk in though. (No insurance) poo..

Fast efficient friendly service treating a large cut. Stitches were required and I was in and out in less than an hour. It would have taken an ER twice that time just to take my information. My wife also had a very good experience here a few months ago when they treated her for a stomach ailment. My stitches were removed today, total time about 20 minutes.

Blindingly close to 5 stars. Since our lovely Christmas Eve visit, we’ve had the Queen Mother grace the place with her presence and be treated royally (special shout out to Nurse John «The Baptist» for exceptionally good humor and patience with the QM) and have had the Young ‘Un there as well.
They’ve recently added a texting function where they tell you once you check in via text message what place you are in line and, when you’re close to being first, to be sure to head back to/be close to the location as you’ll be called soon. This is nice but they don’t give you the option to opt-out — they just ask for your cell phone number and put you in. That kinda bothers me only because I don’t know where else the # is going or will be used, yanno?

I have visited this urgent care center multiple times over the last couple of months and they are FABULOUS every time! I never had to wait long at all and the staff is TOP NOTCH! This is a great alternative when I cannot get into see my PCP. Facility is spotless and they make things so easy. You can get lab work, xrays, prescriptions filled, stitches, etc.

I visited CareSTAT needing an injured thumb to be seen before a weekend holiday. They accepted my insurance, and although the copay was a bit higher than I expected, it was still reasonable. I was seen promptly, and the whole procedure was pretty much what one would expect at a normal doctor’s office (ie. took my vital signs, weight, etc.). The exam rooms given to patients are not soundproofed, and the traffic on West Chester Pike is very audible and at times distracting. The doctor was polite, able to diagnose my problem and called in a prescription to my pharmacy. Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of care I received and would go back in the future if I needed to.

Brought my daughter in for a walk-in appointment in the evening when her regular doctor was closed. Was seen within 15 minutes or so. Facility is brand new and it shows; everything is spotless. Got my daughter diagnosed and a prescription called in with no fuss; quick and easy. Staff were all very warm and friendly, unlike other doctors offices I’ve been to where they act like they’re doing you a favor talking to you.
As they were not yet set up to take my insurance (Aetna; they will be accepting it within a few more weeks I was told), I was billed the «no insurance» rate of $ 130, which is more than an insurance company would pay them, but far less than the «retail» price that you’d get stuck with if a doc tried to bill you the same rate they bill an insurance company.
Overall, they provided me just what I needed, and I would not hesitate to return, or to recommend them to others.

A double root canal with no anesthetic is preferable to an Emergency Room visit! If you don’t know the deal let me fill you in. Unless you have chest pains you’ll wait in line just shy of forever. You know you’re in trouble when you are eating your second or third meal of hospital cafeteria food and you are not even a patient yet! It can be that bad.
These guys fill a serious need. If your «emergency» is relatively minor this is the place to go. Stiches, burns, simple fractures and other non-life threatening stuff are better addressed here. Ditto with drug tests and flu shots.
I stopped in for a quick tour and I’m delighted to have these folks in my town.
