The Children’s Corner Learning Center is a child care center that is open year round located in Havertown, PA. We lovingly care for children 6 weeks old through Prekindergarten. We are a state licensed facility with educated teachers. All of our teachers are trained in pediatric first-aid, participate in continuing education classes and have a «no record exists» on the PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Record and FBI Clearance.
TCCLC seeks to meet the needs of the «whole» child and along with the PA Learning Standards, has designed a balanced curriculum, which promotes social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. We provide a cheerful, healthy atmosphere in which your child can develop at their own rate and build a solid foundation to grow on. TCCLC believes it is our job to instill a «love for learning» by providing fun, challenging and stimulating experiences. Our motto is: «We call it learning. Children call it fun.»
History
Established in 2008.
In April, 2008 Ardelle Clarke bought the daycare center from Building Blocks and renamed it The Children’s Corner Learning Center. The center was literally turned upside down, the infant and young toddler rooms are now upstairs next to the office and the preschool and prekindergarten rooms moved downstairs. Thousands of dollars were spent on new equipment and learning materials for the classrooms. Plus more was spent for new playground equipment and safe play surfaces.
As in any new business finding the «right» people were at times challenging — we did go through a period of time, where teachers who did not have our children’s safety, well-being and self-esteem as a priority were released. Now, we have educated teachers who are warm and loving and many of these teachers have been employed by TCCLC for 4+ years.

Business Owner
Ardelle Clarke graduated from East Stroudsburg State University with a BS degree in Elementary Education specializing in Early Childhood Education. She was a second grade teacher in Abington school district, a classroom teacher in a Montessori school and the Founder of The Children’s Computer Corner before buying this center.
She has a daughter who is a junior attending West Chester University.
Ardelle likes to travel, cook and read.
