Great place to buy any and all restaurant equipment, the owner Gene is amazing as well and he’s very knowledgeable and boy the prices for the equipment used or new aren’t matchable anywhere. Best equipment store ever.

Found Gene Shook Restaurant Equipment online via craigslist while researching a couple of pieces of equipment, emailed for specs and additional information and received almost immediate reply. I was skeptical about pricing as it was «too good to be true», but checked out and found no issues.
Here’s the thing I purchased in AM in Dallas, Texas and they promised next day delivery to dock, instead it was delivered same day — after Gene called and asked if that would be ok — My next best vendor offered 3−7day and almost twice the price on similar item.
Follow up and support have both been immediate and I look forward to purchasing additional pieces from Gene in the near future.

Started dealing with Gene Shook about 4 weeks ago just as I started planning my mobile kitchen. I called in and got Gene himself on the line, he helped me step by step to acquire the new equipment I need and it was cheaper that buying used. I would highly recommend Gene to anyone needing restaurant equipment. He is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. Gene was interested in my venture and I always felt he kept my best interest in mind which I can’t say for many other vendors.

Let me just say this, I approached Gene about getting a commercial grade Fridge and Freezer for our small church in Culver city with yes, even a smaller kitchen. Installation of these units into a small space was going to be a challenge and indeed it was. The first units delivered got dented and scratched just getting them into such a tight space.. The church was unhappy because the single units moved whenever anyone tried to open them not to mention the scratches and dents on the new units. I called Gene and told him we weren’t happy. He then came out to the site, examined the units and the wheels on both units and agreed that the wheel movement was unacceptable and offered us either our money back or upgrade to two slightly smaller, glass door units with custom 4 lock wheels at no cost to us. In total it was a $ 500 upgrade and free delivery (again) and PU of old units. Long story short. We went with the upgrade and couldn’t be happier with our new units. Gene went far and above the call of duty to make things right for us. He is not only knowledgeable in the commercial appliance field, but he is honest and committed to making sure his customer is happy. What else as a consumer could you ask for ?! My gosh, if you’ve made it this far through my rambling review, trust me, Go with Gene, you won’t be sorry.
