I came here last minute on a Wednesday. I just wanted a gel pedicure. The technician did a great job on my nails and I do appreciate that. I also love that they have liners in the spa pedicure tub. Which is so important. I won’t get a pedicure if they don’t. My total was $ 49 and I’m kinda use to paying $ 10 less. The place is decently clean.

Ahhhhh. Luxe nails. Ive been getting my nails done by Mimi for at least a year now. Why am I barely writing a review… Well I’m bored and really this place deserves a good review and your business… First off, Mimi is the BEST nail tech here. Now there are others that Ive had and are good, but Mimi just seems to nail it every time. Any calah or design I wan… I get… show her a pic and its a done deal! Prices are average. I spend about 65 – 75 for gel mani and pedi. I do have to make an appointment for her because she gets pretty booked, but its great cuz I get there, get it done and go. Now this is not a froo froo relaxing type spa. They do have massage chairs and do descent massages. There is a tv. The tools are clean, but the salon itself could be a little cleaner. Parking is ok, now with the addition of Honey Boba and Blaze pizza its gotten a bit crowded. Lastly you can only tip in cash.

For over 15 years I have been getting services here. Stacy is my favorite by far, however the staff isn’t bad. If you are looking for a pleasant experience, with extraordinary customer service, you have found it. Stacy does waxing, nails as well as facials.

I have been going here for 8 years… and have never waited over 10 minutes as a walk-​in. I drive all the way from the valley. My nails are acrylic and always look glossy and classy. They stay for a month. Very nice staff! I highly recommend this place!

If you are in the Hawthorne area I definitely recommend this nail spot! It’s in the shopping center with Blaze pizza and Honey Boba tea. I came in on Friday midday and was expecting a wait, however upon walking in I noticed quite a few nail technicians so I was calmed if she was to tell me there was a wait. In approx 3 – 4 min I was next and so was the two ladies who walked in with me. I was gettin just a manicure gel with regular nail polish however the technician doing my nails recommended gel and she even matched the colors for me so I went with it and it turned out really pretty! She was so charming and gave me good single girl outchea advice! Loves it! She was quick but good no lie. at times I wanted to say something but she was on it fixing my broken nail too. She even caught the sides of my nail! Like it’s perfectly blends to me! She did that! I live farther but if gas wasn’t ridiculous I’ll b shooting over here during working lunch hours lol

I have been driving to LBC to get my nails done. I got tired of doing that and decided to try this place. I am very happy with my experience especially since I walked in on a Saturday morning and was out within an hour. Jenny and Vivian helped me. Jenny is fast but precise with doing a fill. Vivian also put effort and detail into completing my service! Great little place :)

I came to this location for the first time on 3÷23÷16 because I heard great things from other ladies. I’m pretty disappointed on the outcome of my service. The lady did not offer to cut my nails and instead filed them crooked. I picked a gel color that was advertised to last 21 days. It’s not even a week and the gel polish is already lifting. The manicure part of my service wasn’t great either. My cuticles are still horrible. I don’t do anything crazy with my hands for my gel to be in such bad shape. I would expect this from just regular polish, not gel. I pay extra for it to last longer and it didn’t. In total I paid $ 25 and left a $ 5 tip which I regret. I would give this place no stars, but they were clean when it came to my cousins pedicure. They cover their jet tubs with plastic bags made specially for it, which was the first time I saw that. I will not be coming back. If you decide to get gel from here still, maybe ask for 3 coats of gel polish? I expected a lot more from this salon.

I called because they are located very close to my job. I wanted to know if they did ombré nails since when I searched they came up. They said yes and when I went in I told them again what I wanted and they proceeded like they do that style all the time. Finally when it got to the point of paining my nails it was clear nobody there knew how to do it and 2.5 hours later these pics is what I walked out with and mind you $ 70 later. Heads up this is not the place for ombré nails. The staff is nice and it’s clean but strictly for normal color and styles.

I want to start by saying that I will return here and give this place another shot based on location and service.
My 3 star is based on the miscommunication on pricing. I was off work and on my way to my usual nail shop. I decided I didn’t want to wait in traffic nor drive the extra 15 mins and decided to pull into this shop instead.
Before walking in I decided to call just to make sure and was told that a gel Mani and gel pedi would be $ 53 ($ 27 mani $ 26 pedi).
I stopped by the boba place next door and then headed over.
The shop itself is nicer than most, clean and I felt a bit better about their cleanliness.
I was shown a pedi menu, which I selected the $ 26 option, as that is what was quoted to me over the phone w gel. I didn’t see a «regular» option. My fault in assuming. Instead of $ 26 for a gel pedi, I ended up paying $ 39. The pedicure was ok. The lady working on my feet was clearly rushing as a customer threatened to wait only 5minutes for a gel Mani before leaving. It felt very rushed but thankfully Lily, who was doing my Mani later finished the pedi with a quick rub down on my feet.
My Mani was great. Lily did a nice clean job. Nothing sloppy. She recommend I get the lose glitter instead of the gel glitter since I had complimented her nails. I said ok… again, my fault for not asking the added price.
I go to pay. What I am expecting to be $ 53 +tip, turns out to be $ 68
Pedi $ 39
Glitter $ 2
Mani $ 27
I then stated that I called and was told $ 53… Lily did apologize and said it was her fault for not saying the glitter was extra and that I picked the pedi option from the menu $ 26 plus $ 13 for gel. She was apologetic for the miscommunication. She stated to be sure to say regular pedi ($ 18) with gel next time so that it is the quoted $ 26.
I will be back based on the fact that she was not rude nor careless.

So I’ve been getting manicures for years now and have been receiving gel manicures for over a year now and have tried a few salons in the Santa Monica/​Venice area because it’s close to home.
My boyfriend brought me here one weekend for a gel manicure and I love it, best gel manicure I’ve ever received. The polish holds up beautifully for 2 – 3 weeks maybe longer but 3 weeks is the longest I have kept them. I’ve been commuting to them for months now because they have been the best and worth the drive.
I have tried different manicurist and they have all been polite and have done a great job. I started getting the hard gel nails after I got a recommendation from one of the nail technicians and have never looked back.
They’ve also done a great job on pedicures, they’re very thorough and thoughtful. I take my daughter in for mani pedis with me and all the technicians have been kind and patient with her. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone absolutely worth the commute for me.

I got eyebrow extensions here from Stacey. She is AMAZING! I’ve been getting compliments all day about how beautiful my eye lashes are. The price is great and the quality of service is amazing.

This is the second time I decided to come here. My first visit wasn’t the best but I have to give it another try after my roommate raved about her nails.
I stopped in 45 minutes before closing closing. I’m typically skeptical on just getting any manicurist but I was pleasantly surprised on how great Helen was. She was friendly, detailed, and made sure my nailed came out great. Most manicurist don’t take the time to inspect every nail but you can tell she has pride in her craft. The only wish I got was a quick hand massage with lotion. Most nail salons make it part of their service.
I got clear gel manicure nails with glittered tips. Love it for the holidays. Only $ 30! I will come back :).

Really enjoyed my mani here! Christine did an amazing job. She was very thorough and fast. It was $ 35 for a gel/​acrylic and well worth it. Other places have charged me $ 50 for terrible work. I showed her a picture and she glanced rather fast at it but recreated it perfectly. I’m very pleased. Will definitely be coming back.

I got my nails done by Ivy and she did such an AMAZING!!! Job! I been looking for a nail shop for awhile and I’m so happy that I found this place. Everyone was nice and I was able to really relax and enjoy myself. They are very reasonable and honest. At first I got a Matte purple color with gold studs & Ivy told me that the studs would come off. They did and she fixed them the next day for me with no problem. My nails has lasted for 2 ½ Week and I’m going back to get a fill. Found my go to nail shop. Thanks Ivy!!!

I tried this place originally because it was open late and worked with my weekly schedule. The first visit was great. Well crafted nails, friendly service.
I returned a few weeks later for a fill, gel pedicure and eyebrow waxing and it was far below the service I first received.
The woman who did my fill was nice enough but not five days later one of my nails broke. I found that to be odd but wrote it off as me being rough. She fixed the nail free of charge and I wasn’t pleased with the way she re-​dis the nail but it was free so I didn’t complain. But what was unusual was the next day ANOTHER nail broke and when I went to have it fixed, the nail tech was so rude and kept asking me how I broke it like I was lying about how it broke. Then after she was done she firmly told me there would be no more freebies. Well, if the nails weren’t done poorly, I wouldn’t have this problem to begin with! She even painted my nail a slightly different color! When I confronted her she shrugged and told me the paint they used to do my original set ran out so the color was a bit «off».
The pedicure I received was horrible. The woman stopped three or four times to service other patrons without saying a word. Then made my toe bleed. It was like she was attempting to pry national secrets from me. So much stabbing and absolutely no apologizing or even showing remorse. Girl, I’m not here to be tortured.
When they were done with my nails they asked me to pay and I asked «what about my eyebrows?» The woman sighed and told me to hold on. As if I was ruining her night by asking for a service I requested when I walked in.
All in all, I wouldn’t return. The first trip was good, but clearly good service is hit or miss here.

Lux Nailspa, you were recommended to me by family. When I went in there, you were packed for a Saturday. Your place is not the nicest, location is in a strip mall, yet your prices are bit more than what I expected. Irrelevant though, I do pay for good service.
However when you nick me on a toe to the point where I’m bleeding, and did not apologize, was my first red flag. Second red flag was insulting me for dry skin in order to upsell me a treatment. I said no thank you and your employee still continued. Then when you tried to cut my nails, managed to slice three nail beds on my hands. You saw that I have long nail beds. Why would you try to continue after I snatched my hand away. You look at me and asked if I was scared. Damn right I was scared! Last straw was when she sanded my nail beds down. I asked her what she thought she was doing. I have never had any nail technician take a sander to my nails. My NATURAL NAILS. I was not getting fake nails. She said my nails were dingy. That’s why she was doing it.
Never again

I got my nails done here Saturday. Today is Sunday…
AND THEY ARE ALREADY CHIPPED.
Seriously. I should have known that this place was no good once my nail lady sneezed, blew her nose and proceeded to do my nails without washing her hands. Gross.
Even for the inexpensive price of $ 14 nails should not chip the next day.

When I heard Lily was leaving the store, I almost cried — she’d been the best manicurist I ever had! But fortunately she referred me to Tammy who’s just as amazing. Woohoo — go Tammy!
Tammy does excellent work. On top of being very welcoming & friendly, she’s a total perfectionist when it comes to nails — something I seriously appreciate. I always leave with perfectly shaped and painted nails that last for weeks and weeks. Tammy works efficiently but doesn’t rush the job — quality’s never compromised and you’ll still be out the door in less than 45 minutes.
Even though there seems to be a different nail shop on every street, finding a good salon & manicurist ain’t easy! Tammy’s so worth the trip to Manhattan Beach.
RECOMMENDATION — A hard gel mani may be a little pricey, but the digits seriously look flawless for weeks!

I was looking for a place to get my nails done with my mom for a late Mother’s Day bonding thing. Unilocal’d places nearby and found Lux Nailspa, which I’ve passed multiple times. They had good reviews and loved all the pictures of nails with designs! We just needed a simple mani + pedi but we decided to come here anyway, why not.
It was Saturday afternoon about 3:30pm, one lady ahead of us, but no wait, we got sat in spa chairs next to each other right away. For both of us the water came out super hot! Ok, accident whatever, but I had to tell her twice it was too hot. I saw a pic on here that said Mani & Pedi was $ 27, but it turne dout to be $ 30. womp that’s my bad though because the pic was probably from a while ago.
Anyway pedi lady asked me what I wanted and I said French tip and then she asked if I wanted it on my hands too and I said no, I just wanted all white. Another lady came to do my hands and again asks me what color and I tell her too all white. Then the lady working on my pedi continuously tries to upsell me, even after I nicely decline her. She KEEPS asking me! I know it’s her job but why are you asking me about the same thing after I tell you no. I’m pretty sure she started talking shit right after that but whatever.
Now on to my mani. The lady was nice but not overly friendly. I had mostly shaped my nails already because they were bare but she cleaned them up and at first I thought it was a good job. But afterwards I saw that the paint didn’t go all the way to the base so there is visible thin layer at the base and then the rest of the nail/​paint is thicker. On a couple the thin layer is already chipping away. [See photo]
Also before they finished they asked me to pay which is fine, I know it’s so they don’t get messed up. I was paying for my mom, who also got French tip on her toes as well so I was just commenting to my mom «Oh you got French too :)» and my pedi lady was like «Oh the French on her hands!» about me and I’m like no I don’t want that. Then she looked annoyed. Trying to squeeze anything out of me. I was annoyed! Before everything was dry they asked us to move so other people could sit and they didn’t even put us at a dry station, just to the waiting chairs.
We had to ask for change for tip and they were just not friendly about it. I tipped the woman working on my pedi and then I was looking for my mani lady and the pedi one was quick to grab the money and say «I will give» wooow! So rude! I mean I guess she was being helpful but still. So I think it’s pretty obvious I won’t be coming back. I’m pretty disappointed because I needed this mani to last a couple weeks but I bought white polish to touch it up myself. And since it was close and I liked the designs I was hoping I had found a new salon to go to.

I have been coming here for about 6months consistently and I haven’t found a technician here that I do not like. They all do REALLY good manicures and pedicures. I have never left dissatisfied with my nails.
I have never made an appointment and am always able to get my nails done as soon as I walk in, but I always stop by around 5pm on Thursday and I do not have a preference.
They have tons or gel colors and a decent amount of regular polish. They do eyebrow waxing and offer different types of pedicures. I think I found a nail shop that I can love forever.
