AST Travel Service opened in San Leandro, Ca in January of 1988. I, Denise King have owned and operated the travel service for over 25 years now. Denise is AMAZING!!! She made it so easy and affordable for us to plan and book our Hawaiian vacation… No task to small! She is so easy going, and patient. She was very prompt and informative with information and details and I felt that she really listened to our needs and met everyone of them with out hesitation… we leave in 4 weeks and I can’t wait, I cant thank her enough, We have so many more vacations to plan and Denise will be my first call!

Denise is AMAZING!!! My friend and I are both in graduate school, so our funds are pretty sparse. We were looking for an affordable getaway and Denise found us an incredible trip to the Dominican Republic. We stayed for 5 days at the Majestic Colonial Resort, which as all inclusive and right next to the ocean. It was a GREAT trip, we had the time of our lives!
Denise is the best travel agent I have had the pleasure of working with. We provided her with the dates we wanted, the location, and our budget, and she did the rest! All of our flights and hotel bookings were taken care of. She was extremely professional and receptive to our needs and questions.
We will definitely use AST Travel Agency for our next adventure! I highly recommend working with Denise. Best of the best!

Denise was an amazing travel agent! My husband and I wanted to plan a Hawaii trip for our «baby moon» before our first child was born, and my mother-​in-​law suggested we go through her travel agent, which was Denise! Once we contacted her and got the ball rolling, she was very prompt and informative with information and details for planning our trip. She gave us different options that we could choose from to best fit our wants out of the trip. We ended up choosing a hotel right on Waikiki beach (Sheraton Waikiki) and Denise had a surprise waiting for us once we got to the hotel. She was able to upgrade our room to a partial ocean view! That alone was an incredible upgrade. My mother and brother went along with us and they too also got the upgraded room! The view was really breathtaking and we were definitely appreciative! She was also able to give us free catamaran rides that sailed along Waikiki.
On top of our amazing experience, she made sure to give us all the information we needed and all the options that would be offered to us. She was honest and was straightforward with
Pricing and everything. Being our first time dealing with a travel agent, we had a great experience with Denise. She definitely took the stress and pressure off of planning a great vacay. Thanks Denise! We appreciate you! Mahalo! :)

Denise made planning my group trip to Maui and Oahu a breeze! We had 6 people originally going on the trip, and we had put in our deposit already when 2 other people decided to join in as well. If I were booking the trip on my own, I probably would’ve had to tell them that it was too late. Denise managed to get the 2 of them included in our bookings without incurring extra cost to the original 6.
She managed to get our two-​island trip under budget and in some great hotels. Pretty much everyone in my group agreed that it was their favorite vacation ever!
If you’re planning a complex itinerary or organizing a group trip, I highly recommend talking with Denise. I know I plan to in the future!

Denise was so amazing. She booked me and my husband’s honeymoon to Maui, and a trip to Arizona for my husband and kids. Both were done with short notice. I provided Denise with the location we wanted to travel to and in about 30 minutes she got back to us with several different travel options. She is very thorough and helps with all the details that will truely make your trip amazing. She was so pleasant to work with and her fee’s are really reasonable. I will be using her to make all my future travel arrangements.

AST Travel and Denise are an outstanding travel service to work with. I called Denise and gave her my travel request for a trip to Walt Disney World. She got right back the next day with the quote for everything I asked. She had an answer for every question I asked. She even booked the character dining for me. This is my first time using a professional travel agent and I am beyond pleased. I know I could have booked this online, but AST Travel made it simple and offered monthly payment options. I also have sent Denise a few text messages to ask random questions and she replies back right away — any time of the day. She is also honest, which goes a long way with me! I recently booked a Disneyland trip through AST travel with Denise. She is the most awesome travel agent I have ever met. She made sure that I was getting the most for my money. So… I may have changed my mind a couple of times on some events that I wanted included in my trip, but… she took care of the changes with no problem and a smile. :) I will book all my future trips only through Denise at AST travel. Denise is HONEST! Not very common today in business. She was amazing in planning our family trip to Mexico, even last minute. From the first phone conversation she was very personable, non judgmental and extremely accomodating. Where it got messy was when I was trying to work out using frequent flyer miles for flights, and had to keep changing dates, which she was still on board. Then after literally hours of trying to get the flights and dates of hotel stay together it was complete. It got more messy when I found the same hotel and accommodations for almost two thousand dollars cheaper. Once I made Denise aware of this, she promised to get a price match or refund. Happy to say, SHE IS A WOMAN OF HER WORD, she got us a price match. Unheard of right? Not when you work with Denise.

This lady knows her stuff ! Me and my boyfriend were looking for a peaceful getaway and she found us the perfect spot ! It had everything we were looking for plus more ! DENISE has done a terrific job for me and my traveling crew. She leaves nothing undone. All the details are taken care of. She put everything together from beginning to the end. I love, love, love AST Travel Agency! They are absolutely the best there is! I’ve used AST for many years now. My last family trip was a cruise to Ensanada, MX in Dec. 2014. Booking this trip was extremely easy. AST did everything for my trip after giving them my travel details… all we had to do was meet the ship and off we went! I love it when my plans/​vacations are easy to pull together :) and AST made that possible.
The staff, at AST, is very honest and will work hard to find a decent price for all your vacation… I will always use AST Travel of Hayward, CA! :)

After attempting the coming of age trend of booking a trip through a travel website and never had gone to Mexico, my boyfriend and I couldn’t seem to find a reasonable package with detailed information to go along with it, so I decided to go «old school» and search for a travel agent. Denise was the first to pop up in my area with a five star rating. All I have to say is that we are so glad that we went with her. I shot her a quick email of what we wanted, and she replied promptly with detailed answers. She saved us a good two hundred dollars on our all inclusive resort in Cabo, and arranged transportation to and from the airport. Our entire itinerary was put together by Denise and explained thoroughly when we went to pick up our confirmation papers. I had not gotten my passport yet, and she even offered to help me with the process. In the end our trip was nothing short of smooth and fabulous and we were thrilled with the beautiful resort, it was everything she had explained it would be.
Another perk that I loved was knowing that if anything went wrong during our trip, all it would take is one direct call to Denise, and she would have it fixed right away. Good bye hassle of waiting on hold with an online travel company wasting away our precious vacation time.
