Really disappointed with the latest experience we had. We’ve been here before with a previous car, and had a great experience! Friendly, he was honest and professional.
The second time, with a new vehicle, was a whole different tune. We had an engine check prior to coming and needed help understanding the codes and the work that needed to be done. And an estimate for the work to possibly be done that day. He looked at the paper with the codes for less than one minute, didnt even touch my car and insisted i let him replace my transmission. Wait. What? No way Jose. I left immediately. Will not be returning.

My brother just bought a tahoe and the next day the transfer case failed we just got off work and was heading home and it started making sounds so we rushed over to this shop they made time for us even though they where closing and stay past hours to help us figure what the load sound was. They let us park in there lot over night hardly charged us for the dignostic of th e problem and we had it fixed by the car lot for free. I really appreciate the extra mile they went to help us out at closing time so we didn’t further have to drive the truck and cause further damage.

Highly satisfied with their service and the friendliest staff! The owners are direct to the point about what’s going on with my car. They’re not like those big time auto service who makes up issues, «fix» things that aren’t necessary so they can get more money. I definitely recommend them. No regrets.

My brother has been coming here for all his car needs, And when Fremont Toyota quoted me almost $ 400 to get my transmission fluid replaced on my prius, I freaked out. I called my bro and told me to give Automotivated a call for a price quote. I was so happy when I called, they are upfront and dont beat around the bush. price was $ 123, bring it in today at 4:30 and it will be ready in a hour.
I quickly made my way to automotivated, filled out some paper work and boom, they took my car and started going to work. On time!!! That is key for me. They were on time and did everything they said they would do. While I waited for my car, which their waiting area is pretty nice and big where you can watch tv or do some work with their complimentary free wifi, I was given pointers and tips about my prius from the nice Lady working the counter. She was awesome. Gave me so much information about my car I never knew.
So Thank you for not only the great price, but for being honest, fast, and professional in taking care of my Prius. You guys are gem!

Expensive. I found that my car was not going straight a little bit and thought probably was the pressure problems. So I wanted to air my car. I used to go to Jim’s automatic but he’s close on Saturday so I found this place on Unilocal.I told the owner my finding. He checked my car and there was nothing wrong just the pressure problems. He charged me for 30 dollars. I think that is too expensive! I took my friend to get her car one time and ask the guy to air my tires. He did that for free. And another time my friend helped me to find a place for the same thing and was charged for 5 bucks! I still don’t understand why here is that expensive! Even though I don’t know anything about car, I still know that should not be that much. Maybe because he helped me to check my car? The owners are nice people but I won’t go back. If I’m not in a hurry and have to get it done immediately I would go to other place. I’m the person don’t like cars, don’t know anything about cars and don’t want to worry anything about my car! So next time I’ll just go to Jim’s automatic because my friend who knows car well told me he’s pretty good.

I went here because everywhere else charge outrageously priced I called them up and came right down and John was nice and friendly and didn’t feel he was just in for the money and not helping me I’m very satisfy and happy.

We are having a problem finding a place that can help us with an insurance claim on our modified vehicle. We have been and or talked to 6 places who were all no help. When we went to this spot, instead of turning is away, Mike was very helpful. He not only gave us he only shop we have heard of that can handle all of the problems, but volunteered to put in the word for us just to be a good guy. I will definitely use the services of this company in the future if needed, and appreciate the helpfulness of someone even if they aren’t making a penny off of us. 5 stars for sure.

Took my audi in for a pressure test and had my coolant fixed. John is very knowledgable and accommodating when I was trying to find a mechanic. Just glad I had John diagnose the problem and he was right after having explain the issues to him over the phone. Pricing was reasonable compared to everywhere else in the area.

Excellent shop. My oil pressure light was on. I didn’t have the equipment to check my oil pressure. I thought it may be the Oil pressure sending unit (it was). Jim gave me a quote and stuck to it. I’m certain it took more than expected (that sender unit was buried). They did great work and the turn around time was great also. Thank you Automotivated.

It’s a awfully scary thing to own a high end European vehicle with an expired warranty. What gives me peace of mind is knowing that a highly skilled, efficient and trustworthy family such as the Denoga’s are within driving distance to me and are fully capably to tackle any job I’ve asked of them from a friend’s complete motor swap to my own BMW E60 545 torque converter replacement. My family owns several German cars (09 Volkswagen Cc, 07 Mercedes e550, 04 BMW 545 and an 04 330ci) and they had no issues taking care of each and every car. I never have to worry about them trying to squeeze an extra dollar out of me because it clearly shows that customer satisfaction is a priority to them and understand if they succeed in that then the money will continue to come into their business.
I recently was having some power issues on my 5 series and John tested and diagnosed my battery out for free. Within minutes he determined that it was on it last leg so we went inside and purchased a new battery that was delivered in less than 3 hours. My car is running in tip top shape now and I’m extremely happy and satisfied with the services here at Automotivated. Fast, friendly, HONEST & AFFORDABLE.

Came from Hayward Hills and had 2 cars done here within the past 2 months. The QUALITY of the work is awesome! They spent the time to fix and test my cars; even sat with me to show me the part that was defective and why. That’s it. NO FAKE UNNECESSARY REPLACEMENTS. Even the oil change was clean oil and not recycled oil like those 30-​minute cheap and quick oil-​changers. I definitely RECOMMEND AUTOMOTIVATED’s quality work… and Hey! they provide drop-​off and pick-​up at the BART station. *****

A woman in their early twenties with car trouble can be a very overwhelming situation. Luckily, I found a shop that stands on great knowledge, credibility, and most importantly, honesty. I want to emphasize the importance of honesty in a car shop because I know how easy it is for shops to take advantage of you and I can assure you that this is not the case at Automotivated. I may not be the best person to evaluate a car shop being that the only difference I can tell you between one car to another is the color but I do know that I am completely satisfied with the work I had done here.
This shop is very knowledgeable. They know what they are doing and are very eager to educate you on what their plans are for your car needs. Specifically, I needed a new engine and Automotivated wasted no time trying to find an engine that was best suitable for me. They were very thorough in their explanation of what type of engine I needed and they assured me in their engine search that they were looking for a specific engine that had the right mileage, warranty, and price. Actually, they found one for me and after running diagnostic tests on it, they decided it wasn’t the best and continued until they found one that met their standards which further proves their credibility.
While the fine details may fly over my head, I felt very comfortable asking questions to further my knowledge and really understand what needed to be done. I never felt pressured or pushed into making any hasty decisions and it was in large part due to the fact that they provided me with all the details and allowed me to think it through, even ask for a second opinion. This communicative relationship with the shop gave me complete confidence and peace of mind which ties into their honest work.
The search for a GREAT shop is now over and I can breathe a sigh of relief. I strongly encourage others to check them out for regular maintenance as well as large problems like mine! Hardworking, honest, friendly, and knowledgeable people own this shop which makes me a loyal returning customer!

This is a great shop. Extremely friendly and not the least pushy. The work was reasonably priced and they did a great job. It was convenient to have my car fixed on Sat morning (open until 3pm), since its hard for me to get away from work during business hours weekdays.
They are a block from a few shops, where I walked down to do a few errands which saved me time.

Definitely the BEST service I have ever received. I’ve been here previously for minor things like oil changes, this time was more major. What I love about this shop is that they do their best to give you the most honest deal you can get out there. I had problems with my car overheating, and they explained to me the different possibilities in a way that I could actually understand. When they figured it out, they again patiently explained to me what had happened and how things went wrong.
A friend had recommended another shop for me to go to initially in Newark, but because I had always received such GREAT service from here I had my car towed from the other shop all the way out to Hayward just to bring it to Automotivated. And let me tell you, it was completely worth the farther trip!
They also use only original OEM parts, which is absolutely something that sets them apart from every other shop! And there is a warranty on all the parts they use, so they told me if I have problems to just come back and it will be covered.
The important things to keep in mind:
1. They are very knowledgeable in what they do.
2. They will EXPLAIN to you in a way that you can understand, even if you know nothing about cars (like me!)
3. They do honest work — they work hard at meeting your needs, fixing your problems, and getting you the most reasonable and best deal.
4. Original OEM parts with WARRANTY!!!
5. They are SUPER NICE!!!
So really, there is no need for me to go to another auto shop. Bottom line. Check it out, and I’m sure you’ll be happy :).

I’m pretty new in the car world. My friend recommended this shop because a friend of ours is affiliated with it. I get screwed over a lot because I’m a girl, and I figure why not?
I get really apprehensive about doing business with people you know. So, it took me a while to go. But after getting my alignment done, I’m glad I went. They outsourced for this job, but it was done right. Granted, I could have gone elsewhere to get a lower price, but from my experience with cars… you end up getting what you paid for.
They look into all aspects of your car. I had changed some settings on my car, and they heard it making a different noise. They asked what I had done to my car since my last visit, even though they already knew. They wanted to make sure that what I’m saying lines up with what they see. I’m glad I went, and I will definitely be going back.

Brought my camry here for its major (100k) service and found the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. When I first got there, I told them that I needed the 100k service and that I wasn’t 100% sure I knew what services exactly that included. Mike took a quick look at toyota’s site and found all the information he needed.
When I came back to pick up the car, they explained all the services they performed and even showed me some of the items they replaced (and they really needed replacing). The car felt great and almost like new after leaving the shop.
I highly recommend Automotivated to anyone who needs any work done on their cars! Will definitely be taking my car back there in the future.

Automotivated, run by the Denoga family, has provided excellent high end transmission service for my mothers car. …and John always takes the time to service my car quickly even if the job is minor. We found the Denoga’s in the phone book, what a good find…
