Custom Creations By Cindy was founded in 1988 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The store front is located in the «Heart of the Bay» Hayward, CA.

Cindy is a Jeweler, Designer, Appraiser and Artist. She taught Art to Children for 14 years, and wrote an Art Instruction Book, titled «Dare to Draw». Since she is an Artist & a Jeweler, she can draw out your ideas first, then do either CAD (computer-​aided design), Lost Wax, Hand Fabrication for your custom jewelry or a portrait, if you wish, of your favorite pet…

Her passion is working with customer’s individual tastes and price ranges to create their future heirlooms, weather it be jewelry or a portrait. The customer may supply the stones and metals, and design the jewelry. Only pay the labor costs, for which there is no sales tax. Many customers prefer this process for sentimental reasons. Established in 1988.

I started my Business 25 years ago. As a jeweler, artist, and designer I wanted to use your creativity with mine to create special 1 of a kind jewelry and artwork.

Each piece is sentimental and creates future heirlooms.

Designing wedding rings, engagement rings and mother’s rings or pendants is one thing that I know people really cherish, knowing that theirs is 1 of a kind.

I Drew my first Portrait when I was in sixth grade, and made my own Jewelry. I sang my first Solo in eighth grade, and have been Singing ever since.

Being raised in a very Musical, Artistic family– Parents, Grandparents and Uncles-​all very talented Artistically, greatly influenced me.

When my children were very young, 25 years ago, I wanted to put my gifts into my own Business. It has been very Rewarding.

I have Enjoyed meeting People from around the World, at my Jewelry counter. This is one of many things, that has been an incredible Blessing!

I purchased a watch for the first time and needed help sizing. Drove to a couple of business ending up here and was not disappointed. Cindy was most insightful and was not afraid to give her honest opinion, which is something I value in people! Her price was fair (watch fitting $ 14) for a private business but her service was more than worth the value. I think I have found my jeweler. Salutations Cindy!

Each Christmas my husband has worked with Cindy to create beautiful jewelry that I have received as gifts. She helped him create a personalized birthstone ring and gold and chocolate diamond heart pendant and matching earrings, all very unique, high quality, and beautiful. Cindy also repaired my priceless engagement ring that was severely damaged when my hand was slammed in a door. My mother had Cindy design and create a pair of diamond drop earrings, she was extremely pleased with Cindy’s design and the quality of her work.

This review is a little late but I really wanted to make sure it was said. I took my wedding ring to Cindy because I was always breaking the prongs on my little diamonds and the big one in the center really sat too high. She took a look at it and made a recommendation that I couldn’t be more happy about. The diamonds are all protected now in a nice channel set and the big one sits a little more flush to the rest. I know it’s hard to describe and imagine but trust me when i say, it is gorgeous. I get so many compliments on it and i’m not longer worried about losing diamonds. She knew I was on a budget and worked with me on a price that we were both happy with. Most importantly, my husband loves it too. Thank you Cindy! I’ll be back!

Went in to get my ring cleaned and learned a lot! There is a difference between cleaning and polishing. Polishing is really putting more white gold on. My ring has a lot of engraving so it would be about $ 40 to polish. I’ll probably get it done before my wedding. I was also warned about my diamond falling out due to a 4 prong instead of a 6 prong setting. Don’t have the money for the switch yet, but will definitely be back.

Traditional visual artist (dry & wet medium), professional singer (soprano) & custom Jeweler that’s been in the biz for over 20 years, this individual knows her stuff. Cindy is intelligent and a perfectionist that is honest as is passionate about her craft. Cindy is friendly and very good at what she does. This is the 2nd time I have come to her and it just so happens, she had a Unilocal offer for a free watch battery which is what I needed.
The first time, I brought my wedding ring for a free jewelry cleaning (another Unilocal offer). Cindy examined my ring and noticed I had a loose prong and saved me from losing my diamond.

I love Cindy! She fixed up a ring that had been royally messed up by another jeweler. She explained so much about ring design, my husband wishes he had known her when he was in the engagement ring market! Cindy is very personable, a gifted artist and an HONEST jeweler. My husband first came here over 6 years ago to have the diamond on my engagement ring reset and to have the prongs on the pave diamonds on the sides strengthened because the jeweler at the store where he bought the ring from did not do a good job. I’ve been coming back ever since to have little things done here and there, whether it’s having my rings polished, cleaned, and re-​rhodium-​plated, prongs reset, missing stones replaced on earrings, etc. Cindy is very picky with her work and the people she works with (on her customers’ jewelry) so I know my items are in good hands. Her services encompasses much more than making custom jewelry so don’t feel hesitant to come to her for smaller jobs like jewelry maintenance, getting your watch battery changed, learning about jewelry materials in general, etc. She is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and she never makes me feel rushed or that my questions are unimportant (which is nice because she’s also often busy). Her prices are fair and she is very honest about the work your jewelry needs. I’m very happy to have found Cindy for all my jewelry needs.

Was looking for a local jeweler who could possibly do a gold pendant for me. Behold I found Cindy!!! After reading some reviews and checking out her work on her website I decided to give her a try. Not only does she work close to where I live, she was a wealth of knowledge when it comes to precious metals and jewelry. After a couple weeks I got my pendant at a really affordable price! Professional and knowledgable + friendly trustworthy and kind — Cindy met every mark of being a great jeweler. She is also a talented artist and it shows in her attention to jewelry detail. We live nearby so we visited her for a professional written appraisal for insurance purposes and rhodium w/​cleaning. My wedding ring hasn’t looked this perfect in years! Impeccable job on my ring, a reasonably priced complete professional appraisal and above all, a remarkable small business experience (which is not always so easy to come by).

I must say this, once again my friend and Jeweler since 1991) outdid herself creatively. I just received my Christmas present for my Roommate and Bestest Friend. Cindy is absolutely awesome! A few months back, I decided that it was time to propose to the love of my life. I knew that I wanted to do something special for the engagement ring, something that no one else would be able to find and something that was not only expressive of me, but of my love for my future wife as well. I set out on a long road on finding the right jeweler to make my dream a reality, even though I only had a vague idea of what I wanted at the outset.
After a few phone conversations, I knew Cindy would be able to help after she took my vague ideas and turned them into some concrete concepts, all while giving me very valuable advice on metals, stones and overall design that was above and beyond anything I expected. Working with Cindy on the concept from that point on was an amazing process, full of drama (quick turn-​around time, me being wishy-​washy and wanting things at the outset that were pretty vague and at times unreasonable) on my end, but she was still able to come up with a simply beautiful design and concept that was exactly what I was looking for. Even Cindy’s goldsmith got in on the action, adding his own personal flare to the design that made it all the better.
Once the ring was finally ready it was more brilliant that I could have imagined and so incredibly unique that I know I will never see anything else like it. From the custom metalwork to the almost one-​of-​a-​kind stone (due to an abnormal cut that fit the design perfectly) Cindy showed amazing skill and knowledge even down to the procurement process for getting the raw materials in. The price was just right and Cindy did everything she could to stay in my budget (even coming in under!). Even the band size was perfect having not even met my finacee to be or having one of her rings to go on, just based on my approximations!
My finacee of course said yes, and is so very happy with the ring and I couldn’t be happier either. Thanks so much Cindy, we will definitely be coming back!

Several years back I was looking for a unique gift for my mom on Mother’s Day. When I visited Custom Creations, Cindy was right on top of what I was asking for her to provide. She showed me several unique, one of kind creations that I was able to select from at a reasonable price.
My mom loves the gift that I picked out for her from Custom Creations, and she never has to worry about someone else wearing the same item.
A few years later, I wanted to get a matching wedding band for my wife for her anniversary. Since it had been fifteen years, I could no longer find it. Cindy was able to get this done for me. We had it encase the engagement ring and now it is a triple band and my wife loves it…

SUGGESTION! My wife and I would like to tell you how amazing Cindy is. She helped me put the design in my head on my ‘girlfriends’ finger.
I met Cindy on the internet, and as many fear, i was skeptical. I’ve never met her face to face, so sending her a ¾ karat diamond was scary. Also, the distance was scary, me living in Florida and doing Business with a stranger in CA.
I must say, Cindy was able to provide excellent professional service, and helped me make my dream come true by providing the best competitive price available. We were very happy with our set!

I came to Cindy because I wanted a custom-​made ring made from two rings I already had. I told her what I wanted and she designed the ring, then had her goldsmith make it for me. I wanted to get my mom something special for her 60th birthday and realized she didn’t have her birthstone yet. Being a full-​time graduate student, I had limited funds, but I also didn’t like any of the designs that were out there at the mall stores.
This is where I contacted Cindy. I was upfront about my budget limitations and what I was looking for, and she told me to come in and she would have some options for me. I ended up with a gorgeous somewhat custom ring that fit my budget AND suited my lovely mom perfectly.
I was really pleased that Cindy only showed me what I could afford, she worked with me, and made me feel very comfortable about my first fine jewelry purchase. There was never a time where I was being talked up to a more expensive ring or felt like I was being sold to. Cindy is a perfect balance of professional and personal.
Needless to say, my mom LOVED her present. When we took the ring in to have it sized, my mom had Cindy look at her wedding set and another ring that my father had given her before his passing. Both rings needed cleaning and resizing, but also some work to better secure the stones. Everything was done in a very timely manner and all the rings came back sparklier than ever. They also fit my mom perfectly!
Cindy does great work and, most importantly, I trust her completely. If you’re looking for something special, she’s a million times better than your average mall store.

I hate writing this but I was definitely misled. I was looking to get my engagement ring rodium plated (as you do every so often with a white gold ring). I called ahead and was told it was $ 35 to get the rodium plating done. I was excited to see the great reviews on Unilocal so off I went.
Cindy was very knowledgeable and pleasant but after looking at my ring she told me the price was actually $ 55. As I was going to get work done on two rings the total just went from $ 70 to $ 110. I don’t think so. She politely explained that gold prices have gone up, etc.
All this could have been avoided if she just told me over the phone that she has a sliding scale but she didn’t. The jump from $ 35 to $ 55 is a significant one. I just had the ring rodium plated last April so I know what the prices are.
I took my rings and left. I have no idea what the work would have been like had I stayed there, maybe Cindy is amazing.
On a business note, I am quite surprised she let me leave. I talked about bringing back some old jewelry and having her rework them into new pieces. Seems like she lost a lot of future business by letting me walk out. Over $ 40 bucks and a bad quote? Hmm…

Found another hidden gem in Hayward! I got to meet Cindy last night and she’s just absolutely great — very helpful, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant to interact with.
She loves to share her vast and intimate knowledge of her work, so if you have any questions about jewelry or otherwise, Cindy will take care of you. I’ve actually done a lot of research on jewelry and gemstones and Cindy REALLY knows her stuff!
One of the neat things about her shop is that it’s tucked away on the second floor of Fred’s Flowers. So if you’re getting something from Cindy for the misses, you can pick up a bouquet while you’re at it.
All in all, I just excited to find such a unique place. If you want to do something special for someone that’s creative and unique, Cindy’s is the place to go.
