I agree with Kaelin. Destiny did a terrible job on my hair. My hair is uneven in length I had 5 tracks put in my hair she charged me a load of money but yet my hair looks like my sister or someone without experience has done it

The only reason that I’m giving a star, is that’s the lowest I can put. I can’t begin to explain how disappointed I am with my hair, there is no way Destiny should have let me leave with me being dissatisfied with the outcome of my hair. This was my first time getting a closure and from what I’ve seen on YouTube they’re not suppose to lift up. My hair looks more like a lace front wig than a weave with a «QUALITY «closure. I would’ve been better off going to the beauty supply than getting hair from Destiny. I was trying to give her a second chance because the first time she did an ok job. In my opinion, you would be better off going to your friend/​sister than getting your hair done by Destiny.

Destiny is extremely awesome! Her salon is professionally and intimate, I like that it is by appointment only so not many people are walking in and out of the salon. She is reasonably priced and does a FANTASTIC job every single time!

Amazing. I got my hair done by Destiny and she was nothing short of professional. I’ve had some trouble in the past with stylists running late, or having too many clients at once, but this was the best experience I’ve had (I’ve been getting my hair flat ironed for over 10 years). I also like that is was 100% my time and i got 110% of her attention. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a good and professional experience. My hair is beautiful!

I was recommended to Destiny’s thru my friend. It was my first time here and both Destiny and Rachel were so polite and professional. Both ladies are also very friendly. I was a little skeptical about having my hair touched up since it was my first time here but they did an amazing job! I love the style Rachel did on my hair too-​made it look fuller and alive!
Oh and before I forget they also offered me a mimosa! I took it of course and it was really good.
I plan on coming back!

If you are looking for a salon for your natural hair, this is it! The shop is clean, classy and comfortable. There is an intimate feel to it since you sit behind a partition and do not have passersby gawking at you when you are in those EEK stages of having your hair done. They generously offer you beverages and thoroughly explain everything to you so that it makes sense. I feel better equipped in making styling decisions here because they are so transparent with everything, encouraging you to perform due diligence on a service before you decide. They can do everything from weaves to thermal pressing. I get a color glaze and either thermal press or a Brazilian blowout by Rachel and my hair looks fabulous either way.

I’m not a long time weave wearer, but I’ve experienced enough bad weaves to know when something is good. Destiny is very good at what she does. I had pretty much sworn off weaves because of too many stylists who claim to be «gentle braiders» and then I’m up for nights on end popping ibuprofen. I appreciated that during my consultation, she actually demonstrated on my head her braiding technique. The salon is in a nice location with ample parking. I have now had my weave in for about 8 weeks and I will without a doubt be contacting her for another appointment. I’ve had many compliments and I’m beyond happy with the quality of her work. I also like the online scheduling, very easy and efficient.

Recommend coming to her for your hair needs. I came for a partial sew in and it was painless and lasted the longest iv ever had.

I HAD THE BEST SALON EXPERIENCE EVER. I have had so many bad experiences in the past with other salons but Destiny is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. she did a wonderful job giving me the color that i wanted.

I’m relatively new to the hair weaving game and my experience I had at this salon was above and beyond wonderful. I’ve only had one weave before this one and I knew that this was something that I want to maintain so I was looking for a salon that would help me with that. Destiny was very helpful. She basically held my hand thru the whole process.
I really liked the fact that my appointment time was my time. So many times I go to a salon and the stylist has two or more clients she working on and you spend most of your day there for something very simple. Not Destiny I was her only client and she took her time.
I love that fact that she’s also very green. Email and text reminders are great, also the email receipt… awesome.
She has late hour… love that.
All in all great customer service, great attitude, great work.
I would recommend her to all my friends looking to get their hair done!

I have been getting extensions for a little over two years now and I thought I would NEVER get them done again due to an experience with a previous stylist at another salon. My last experience with the other stylist was very painful and damaging to my hair.
I found Destiny on Unilocal and made a consultation appointment at 4:30p only to figure out I had to come earlier and Destiny was very kind and accommodating and changed it to 1:15p.
From the first upbeat, professional greeting I received until I met her in person, I was impressed and delighted to be in her company. Destiny is knowledgeable, hardworking and knows her extensions. I have been getting extensions in San Mateo for over 2 years now and they have never been so healthy-​looking, easy to wash and painless as the ones I received from Destiny. She gave me a few options until we found the one that best worked with my hair. Destiny, along with Desiree, took me in, same day, and did my extensions on the spot! How kind is that??? I was very appreciative (and I promise to give more notice when I have them pulled up in a few months!)
I’m a person, that if I find someone that works, I don’t go anywhere else. I don’t even live close to Hayward (I reside on the Peninsula in the Silicon Valley) BUT I will travel to Hayward, just to have Destiny do my extensions again and again. If I could double the stars I would! Thank you Destiny, for being professional and knowing your stuff!

It’s been awhile but the professionalism and superior customer service remains the same. She is a good stylist and is always on time and never a wait or overbooked.

Destiny Does it again Brazillian blow out and new color love!

The BEST SALON EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My grandmother was a beautician and she passed away 15 years ago. Since then I have not been able to find a salon comparable to the comfort and professionalisim that my grandmother offered in her salon. When I walked into Destiny’s salon I became instantly impressed with the way that she greeted me and the appearance of the salon overall… Fabulous! I felt right at home. This salon is appointment only and you will receive a intimate experience with personalized service. I had a early appointment and when i arrived Destiny offered me tea, coffee and a variety of very tasty treats. I chose a cinnamon bagel (my favorite). Right away being there felt like a getaway which is what I needed. A mini escape.
Beyond the fact that Destiny is very accommodating, what meant the most is that she showed a true interest in taking care of my natural prior to giving me a sew-​in. She knows her hair textures really well being that her clients are very diverse. She offered tips and Introduced me to new products without being to pushy on selling them & could just tell that she has a genuine interest in building trust with her clients. At the end of my appointment when she showed me my hair I felt like I had a celebrity makeover. lol
I left with a goody bag filled will a product that I purchased, free samples and a customer rewards card. A week later I still can’t believe how amazing my hair looks and feels. I had expectations however I had no idea that I would have a flawless sew-​in by a perfectionist ! You don’t know what you’re missing until you have sat in her chair!

What can else can I say about Destiny… She’s a talent young woman who knows her stuff! As much as I want to go back into a full weave (because it’s just easier than dealing with my natural hair every day) she has done a wonderful job caring for my hair. My hair hasn’t been this length and fullness since I was in my 20’s! I can’t go back to the weave, not yet anyway. The treatments. The custom color. This lady has skills! I always come out feeling gorgeous. Love her!

My second experience getting extensions. I thought I would NEVER get them done again due to a previous stylist at another salon. My first experience with other stylist was painful. I thought I would do something for my birthday and I wish I never did. I was in so much pain, I felt like I needed to be doped up on the strongest pill out there. Over the course of a few weeks, I still did not want to do anything nor could I concentrate at work since I was in so much pain.
4 years later, I thought I give it another try. Wow! Destiny made me have a new outlook. First, I didn’t need to take any medication before/​after she did it. Also, I was able to function normal. I received a lot of compliments on how natural it looked. Everyone thinks it it is my hair since it blends in so well. It always looks nice as long as long as you maintain it. I can’t wait keep this for awhile

I took my wife here and she loved it. I’ll start off by saying my wife has had a number bad experiences with other salons so she was very skeptical to try again. We made a weekday morning appointment in hopes it wouldn’t be crowded and we’re happy to be the only ones in the salon. That said my wife got personal attention. destiny is very nice and talked my wife through everything including giving her suggestion on different ways to style here hair.
My wife got a cut, style and color and was very happy with the results even days later. It was a bit more than my 7 dollar hair cut but made the wife happy. I would certainly take her back again.

I am so happy that i have finally found a awesome hair dresser for my 4yr old daughter. Destiny is so patient with her and truly does care about each of her clients. I bring my daughter to her salon every two weeks to let her do her magic. Her prices are very reasonable and affordable. Everytime my baby girl leavs her salon everyone asks where she got her hair done at. Her salon is so welcoming and i feel like im right at home. She (Destiny is stuck with us for another 14yrs Lol.

Best stylist in the bay. I love her shop she is a great person. Been getting my hair done by destiny for years.

This is my friends experience, which I WITNESSED!
My red-​head friend bleached her hair blond, which was ruined by her friend cause it started turning green! Because of the horrible hair color, she was forced to dye it back to a dark color. With so much bleaching going on, lets just say the ends of her hair were dead… (R.I.P.)
Going for a late lunch/​early dinner aka «linner,» she said she wanted to squeeze in a quick and cheap haircut because she couldn’t take it anymore. Called in Destiny around 4pm (?) and Destiny called back saying she could take her in at 5:45 pm (right before closing). NO WALK-​INS; APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Walked-​in and was greeted by Destiny. Spacious place, and clean. Destiny seems very passionate with her job, and was very down to earth with my friend and I. While giving my friend her cut, she told her what products she used and brought the hair back to life! It felt smoother and seemed so much healthier. She also gave my friend samples of the shampoo & conditioners used.

She’s done hair with a Lamborghini (i think. it was a big brand car name!) and the Raiderettes! Since I’m letting my hair grow back out from an A-​line cut, I’m considering giving Destiny a try!
She was very nice and offered us bottled water for the road. I noticed she also had coffee and liquor on the shelf.
