DNA Motor Lab, LLC. is a full-​service repair and sales shop for all your scooter, motorcycle (Honda to Harley to Vespa), and small engine needs. From changing a flat tire to belt replacement, crash damage, brakes or engine repair, we fix it all.

We have a decent selection of new and used motorcycles, dirt bikes and quads for sale as well as a large customer list of bikes for sale.

We can perform ON-​SITE repairs in the entire SF Bay Area (San Francisco, East Bay — Oakland, Berkeley, Etc.)

We are one of the few shops that works on Chinese products (and we have tons of parts in stock).

Established in 2010.

DNA Motor Lab, LLC. is more than a quality repair facility. We are all avid scooter/​motorcycle enthusiasts who want others to share in our love of 2 wheeled vehicles. Our customers are very important to us and we treat our customers as we would like to be treated. We find the best option at the best price to keep you safely on the road. We want you to have a basic understanding of how your scooter/​motorcycle works and love sharing and showing you what we did so learn more about your ride.

Daniel P.

Business Owner

Daniel, the owner, is a two wheeled enthusiast having purchased my first on road motorcycle before I could legally drive (my mom was not a happy camper). Over the years, I have owned countless motorcycles, scooters, and other recreational vehicles and thought I should work with my passion. My passions include my kids, wife, powersports and fishing.

Our team consists of two wheeled enthusiasts that specialize in everything from Chinese scooters to sport bikes to cruisers.

Woody our main tech has been certified in Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki and has been working on motorcycles for over 30 years. He is a walking encyclopedia on motorcycles!

Brian comes from professional MX racing and is wickedly good wrench.

Said is a passionate street racer finishing up his time at motorcycle mechanic school.

Sonny was actually a customer turned part timer. He rides his Honda Ruckus GY6 conversion or street legal xr50 every day (Rain or shine). They both top 70mph

I wanted to add to all the praise of DNA Motor labs! I brought my 2009 Kawi ER6n for some routine maintenance (valve clearance inspection, spark plugs) a job that usually takes 6 – 7 hours and costs about $ 700-​$ 800 in labor. On top of keeping me actively updated on what they found upon inspection (and giving me the decision if I wanted the work done on it or not) they also told me that the work took less time than they estimated, and that they would shave it off the final bill! They were well within their ability to keep me in the dark and charge me what was in the full estimate, but they didn’t. That was an extra $ 100 they could’ve kept from me.
They also do good work (unlike another shop in the area) this being the second time I brought my bike in for a huge job. Many others can attest to their work. But man, that integrity has bought my loyalty. Thanks guys!

I won’t be able to say enough great things about theses guys on Unilocal
I brought in 2 old Honda’s, Daniel and Woody went way out of there way to complete these projects, many hours they clock to figure out how to get these bikes running, new motors new electrical they had to order several parts just to see if it would work … Months later I have both bikes and my son and I are very happy … Great work! Great communication !!

I’m a novice rider who inherited a LOT of maintenance on their first bike (2013 Ninja 650) from the previous owner. Luckily, DNA has treated me awesomely since my first service. Great shop, knowledgable staff.

We were looking for a used scooter for our son and although they did not currently have one that met our needs, Daniel encouraged us to have them inspect whatever we were considering before the purchase (free of charge). Daniel gave us wonderful tips to do some preliminary checking on our own for any future bikes we look at. As luck had it, we found a bike the next day and called ahead and they had us bring it in. Several of their mechanics checked it out and tracked down a problem with the front bearings in the steering mechanism that even the owner was not aware of. They clearly demonstrated the problem to us. Over the course of several days, I called in inquiring of the availability of parts and cost of repairs for this bike and dealt with Daniel, Isaac, Brian, and Rodrigo and all were top notch. They really know their stuff and we feel we have found a mechanic we can really trust!

I rode out to the Bay Area from Las Vegas. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a nail in my rear tire. I called around to a few places and got nowhere. One place told me they didn’t work on my type of bike because they are a pain in the ass. I rude a 96 Suzuki Intruder 1400. The shop in question specializes in Japanese bikes???
Anyways… DNA totally took care of business. They advised me of additional needed work (that I already knew about) without trying to force me to «do it now!»
When I’m ready to do the other stuff (such as two new tires), guess where I’m going? That’s right… to DNA!

I took my 450r they tuned it got it running perfect. It had been sitting for two years when I bought it from some other person. Then I took my ATK forks there put new seals on it looks beautiful works great I recommend anybody to go to them very honest and works done great

DNA Motor Lab is the place to go! I started coming to Daniel when he first had his shop set up at his home in Castro Valley. I found him on Unilocal and decided to give him a shot. Daniel delivered my bike back on time and also explained the process and gave me useful tips so I can use. He saved me money and I felt comfortable with him working on my bike. I never felt Daniel was trying to make money off me and he does have great knowledge on bikes. A year later I looked for Daniel but he had opened his shop in Hayward. I was glad for him as he deserved it. I contacted the shop and to my surprise he remembered who I was. I was shocked. I brought my bike in and once again he took care of it and delivered it on time. He saved me money again and once again gave me useful tips to help me maintenance my bike. I have referred a few friends to Daniel and they all were satisfied and appreciated his work. I recommend DNA Motor Lab to anyone having any kind of bike issues. I will continue to take my business here.

I’ve been coming to DNA Motor Lab for years now; Daniel, Woody and the rest are great, friendly guys that do solid work at fair prices. They’ve kept my Ducati Monster and my wife’s Vespa in running shape for years, and it’s even better now that they have a convenient location on Mission.
The thing that finally reminded me to write this up on Unilocal was that I just took the Monster in for the most major of major services. Not only were they very flexible when working with my schedule, but after getting the bike back, I’m blown away by how much better it runs! Much smoother idle, much less friction while coasting. .. just lots of little things I never even mentioned to them that now are fixed. Can’t recommend these guys enough.

Great motorcycle mechanics and the price is very reasonable. Dan and Woody fixed my rear brake and changed the rear tire on my Victory Hammer for $ 130 labor. Highly recommended.

So, I am a «Customer Service» junkie. You want my business, prove it. Well, I have to say Daniel started out right. I had taken my 2004 Honda Shadow Aero out for a spin after sitting for sometime the past few months. As I was going down the street this guy honked at me to get my attention. He pulled alongside and told me that my tires looked low and I should follow him a block to his shop and he would air it up for me. I did, he did, we talked and I will be taking it back next week for a full service. Nice guy, a place right in town, and like I said, I am all about Customer Service. That’s what makes a good business. Thanks Daniel.

Don’t give him your motorcycle or scooter or whatever, don’t trust this guy Dani, my scooter wasn’t starting, and i called him and he came and see it and he told me he can fix and he is gonna take 180 $ max and it will be done in 5 days max, guess what he kept it for 3 weeks !! And then he told me it’s a bigger issue than he thought and he has to buy some stuff to fix it and it’s gonna cost no less than 300 $, i said okay, guess what two weeks later i called him ad he told he can’t do it, i was like what the hell !!! I went to pick up my scooter and gues what although my scooter wasn’t working and he didn’t fix, he wanted to charge me 180 $ for the stuff that he bought and for his time !!! this was unbelievable, just don’t go there !! and he over charged 85 $ me for picking up my scooter although it was only 4 miles between my place and his Place on mission.

DNA is a really good shop and it’s about time give my two cents. They just opened up a newer location on Mission blvd that is really convenient. Daniel is a great mechanic and I’ve had him work on all my bikes
I took my harley in for a flat tire recently, and they noticed my rear brake pads were done. The newer mechanic specialized in Harley’s which is awesome, he made a great recommendation on the brake pad to use that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Service was fast, reasonably priced (usually way lower then I expect!!), and they even kept my bike overnight no problem since I couldn’t make it back in time to pick up.
DNA and the new shop are great!

Daniel and his tech, Woody, did a great job on my ’88 Honda Hawk GT. Did the work per the estimate and gave valuable insight on recommendations on what should be done next. Very personable and easy to talk to any of the folks there. I highly recommend this shop for work on new or used (in my case, very used) bikes. If I ever get around to getting another bike, you better believe I’m gonna take it to DNA Motor Lab for any work to be done.
