These guys helped me move a delicate 350 lb kiln from one side of the bay to the other. They were on time and ready to go, and went out of their way to work with me on fitting an enormous kiln through a small doorway. I would definitely hire them again.

I was on a bus wondering how I was going to move two couches when I saw Mario’s van and knew it was meant to be! I had to pick up in two separate locations and move to a third. Mario showed up on the dot, called me earlier to confirm that he’d he there. He’s a soft-​spoken, patient, and honest person and his calmness really helps to make the naturally stressful process of moving much more manageable. And his rates are very reasonable. I do really recommend him.

I was introduced to Mario and Eastbay Hauling & Delivery when they delivered a large, heavy cabinet from a local consignment store to the second floor of my home. I was impressed with how polite and efficient Mario and his crew were and asked for his card. When I needed the same cabinet moved to a friend’s house, I called Mario. He responded immediately and told me his rate. He also said he could move it that same day. I was thrilled. Mario and his partner arrived exactly on time, moved the furniture, and even tightened some loose screws once the item was delivered to its destination. I highly recommend EBH&D and I plan to hire Mario again.

Made moving from one side of town to the other a breeze. Timely, professional, dissembled and reassembled the frame for my bed quickly. I would definitely call Mario again for help with moving items.

1. Slow movers. No one broke a sweat.
2. Does not prorate hourly rate, which they never told me about ahead of time.
3. Charged a mileage rate, which they never told me about ahead of time.
They promised that the move would take maximum 2 hours. It took almost 3 hours. At this pace and rate, it would’ve been a better idea to do the flat rate. Told Mario (the manager) that the move should not have taken more than 2 hours as informed. He merely suggested that I get 3 movers next time instead of 2.
Bottom line: I feel cheated out of my money and DO NOT recommend this company.

We needed to have a bed moved from Costco to our home. After looking around online for a while, I found that Eastbay Hauling and Delivery had the best looking prices. I emailed them asking for a quote, and got a prompt response from Mario. After messaging back and forth to work out the price and details, we scheduled for 7:30pm on a Thursday night.
I purchased the bed from Costco, and walked outside around 7:20pm. Mario pulled up just as I was walking out. We got the bed into the van pretty quickly and headed towards home. Mario’s wife was along for the ride, and they both were very friendly.
Mario’s gps led us on a little bit longer route than usual, but Mario realized this and compensated by offering to take a mile off of the mileage charge, which was plenty generous.
When we got to my place, Mario helped me take the bed up to our bedroom on the second floor. The whole move took about a half an hour. Quick and painless.
Mario was great. Fast, friendly, efficient. I won’t hesitate to give him a call if we ever need to do another small move. He said he can do same day service. You can’t beat that.

Very happy with Mario and co.‘s work. He was flexible — able to do a job a bit on the fly. The rates were reasonable. Totally professional and punctual. He and his crew worked fast, but also took care in moving the couches. Mario was great at communication — the back and forth coordination of details, etc. I just found him a pleasure to work with and will use his company again.

Great communication before move. Showed up on time (early even!). Very friendly. Took care of all the things we were moving. Even helped me fix two pieces! Very competitive bid and stayed true to estimate. I’ll use them again for sure.

Mario and his crew moved our 2bd condo and did a fantastic job. At a very affordable price, in what was a very realistic amount of time. They were very careful and did everything we asked of them. We will use their services again for sure. Thanks Mario

2) He was recommended to me through someone who had done a small move for my roommate. he promised that Mario would do reliable work at low cost.
3) He and his partner worked really fast, so I never felt cheated out of my money (not sure why that other guy said they were slow, because I felt like the best thing about them was how fast they worked).
4) I was super happy when they said they would perform the job even with very short notice. They moved my bedroom furniture from San Jose to Oakland.
5) The rates were great. Mario told me up-​front what his rates were and charged me exactly that much. I was a little disappointed with a $ 15 processing fee for a check transaction, but he did let me know beforehand. He also offered a flat rate if I wanted to pay that way, but I decided on the hourly. He also charges a mileage rate.
6) I give them four stars because not only did they deliver what they promised, but the rates were the best among all the others (I did research).
7) p. s. I agree that it’s unrealistic to expect a cargo truck when they tell you upfront that they do «small moves.»

Stay away from this scam.
They promised a 24 ft truck, and then brought a van. Then they insisted that they never said truck.
Then the next way is to mint money, wasting time on small stuffs. Promised 2 hrs to move things from one place to other, but ended up minting money for 4 hrs

They helped us move a tree, and were courteous, prompt, and charged less then their original bid. We liked that they had a van vs. a open pick-​up truck. We’d use them again.

Used their services to move my one bedroom furniture within the same town last week. These guys prefer to go by the hour instead of a fixed fee to move the whole house.
First of all, these guys had promised to get a truck and all the other stuff required during the move. These guys showed up early before we were ready and hence their clock started to tick sooner while they waited 30 mins for us to be done. They brought a small van which would make them to make mutiple trips and hence a waste of time. These guys were utlra utlra slow and spend most of the time getting lost around the building or arranging stuff inside the van. They made every effort to be slow so they could charge me more. They had no process in place. Just placed anything anywhere.
Biggest concern I had was they don’t listen. They think they know it all. In the process of moving, they broke one of my lamps (that one of the guys spent 15 mins in trying to fix and hence further waste of time, so they could charge me more… so to summarise… they break my lamp, take 15 mins to fix it and charge me for the 15 mins they wasted because of their carelessness.)
Dumped stuff inside the van w/​o worrying about breaking anything. Where as the whole 1 bed room stuff would take someone less than 2 hours to move between locations just 3 miles apart, it took these guys more than 4 hrs to only bring half the stuff to the 2^nd location and on asking what took them this long, they just unloaded the van next to the road and ran away charging me for 4 hrs.
Even after hiring these guys, my friend and I ended up moving more than 60% of the stuff ourself. If I had depended on these guys to move all the stuff, they would have spend more than 6 – 8 hrs just to move one bedroom furniture.
Save yourself and don’t use these guys. You are better off moving your stuff yourself than hiring these guys and feeling sorry for getting cheated.
