Firestone Complete Auto Care

The staff di a wonderful job with fixing my flat tire. They got me a good deal on a new wheel, had lots patience with me when I was looking for my wheel lock, very friendly. Maries was awesome. Thank you for the care.

Second visit today for tires. In and out in 45 minutes. Moved here from Ohio where I also went to Firestone for car care and will continue using this location.

So, I have a Firestone credit card due to a $ 1000 service that I needed to get in college and had no cash otherwise. Cue opening a credit card. The nice thing about the card, though, is for big purchases, there’s no interest for six months. So, when I need to make a big auto purchase, I usually take my car to Firestone.
I’ve gone to the location in Concord before, but after my last trip there, I said never again. Seriously, do NOT go to the Concord location.
But, this location had a decent Unilocal star rating, so I thought I’d try it out. I was happy with my service. I brought it in on a Saturday morning, it wasn’t too crowded, and told them that I’d pick it up the next day. I think it only took a few hours for them to do all the service, though, cause they called me around 1:00pm.
I got an oil change, tuneup, and asked for them to check the brakes and replace them if necessary. They called later on and told me my brakes were fine, but they suggested a brake fluid flush. They also suggested I replace my shocks, but I decided to do that another time.
In the end, I’ll bring my car here again in the future.

A friend referred me to the FIrestone near her house out in Hayward. I called ahead and made an appointment and we traveled over to drop off the car and find something to do while we waited.
After checking out my car that is when Andrew came back into the office space we were waiting in and asked me, «You know those are run flats, right?» I said, «Whatever, please just give me four new ones.» Then I stopped for a minute and thought, «Why would he say that?» I then had to ask exactly what a run flat tire was. Andrew explained to me that I had no spare tire. Huh, I never knew that. I just always do whatever the car tells me to do via the signals, messages and lights on my dash. This was my first time for a tire light.
Well, needless to say run flat tires are ridiculously expensive. Andrew quotes me for the front tires, I was like, «What about the back?» Well, those are even more expensive ;(I was about to cry. Andrew told me it would take about an hour and I will not even talk about the cost in this review – not because Firestone is highly priced, but simply because these tires are crazy expensive. Andrew got me the best deal he could and I walked across the street to the Ranch with my GF while we waited.
In less than one hour Andrew called me and said the car was ready. WOW! Nice. Automotive places are generally not the most timely of places to visit. Andrew also gave me some warranty on my tires and was so pleasant. He made spending so much money a little less painful.
Unfortunately, I had some type of damage to one of my tires several months later. After giving my information to the person on the phone at Firestone they told me the repair would be free of charge. Wow again!
I really like the customer service at this particular Firestone location. From Andrew to the guys in the service bay, Firestone rocks.

I’ve been coming to this shop since I move in Hayward 4years ago, they always take care of my car plus all the problems that I might get with my car, they always mention it to me and the options that I need.
friendly staff, clean place, welcoming, courtesy calls when your car is ready, I don’t have any problems with them.

Well, now I know why this chain has such low stars. I have been coming to this location for about 3 years. I always make an appt either by calling them directly or online via their website.
I made an appointment 2 days in advance, online, to have a Valve Stem replaced. Not a huge request, only takes a few minutes, I’ve seen it done before. I made the appt. for Monday @ 1pm… I arrive at 12:45 and I see they are very busy. A couple of employees look at each other as I tell them who I am and I have an appt. Evidently, they DO NOT HONOR APPOINTMENTS!
I was told it was going to take ¹¹⁄₂ hours at least. You lost a customer and my family and friends who are your customers. Well done.

I’ve had 2 horrible experiences here in a row. I always give second chances especially because I’ve been a loyal Firestone customer for over 10 years, but here’s my story:
The last time I came here, I had an appointment. I arrived, but they were too busy and rescheduled me for a different day. I arrived for my scheduled appointment only to find that they had not scheduled me? No matter as I was one of the first to arrive at the store that day. I was coming in for an oil change, rotation, and alignment. They quoted me 2.5 hrs to 3 and I informed them that if it couldn’t be done under 3 that I had to reschedule. They assured me that it would be.
When 3 hours passed, I went up expecting to at least get a quote for 5 – 10 minutes. Instead they made excuses such as «since you didn’t have an appointment, we can’t guarantee any time frame.» I informed them of the situation and they replied with «Well if you had only let us know when you came in that you had a limited amount of time we would’ve rescheduled you». And again I let them know what happened. So the rep tells me that they’ll get it out as fast as possible and it would be at most 20 minutes.
After a half hour I go up and ask about the status, they tell me another 20 minutes. Another half hour passes, I go up and start arguing with the rep, he gets his manager, the manager does the same routine of telling me what their policy is for walk-​ins etc. At this point I am really pissed. I argue with them and after arguing for 10 minutes with the manager, who really couldn’t bring up any good excuses, my keys finally arrive.
Today–
I schedule an appointment at 8am. I arrive at 7:45am and get a quote of 2 hours. At 9:30am I am informed that they will need to replace a tire I had purchased less than a year ago because of «road hazard damage». I had purchased a warrantee, but apparently that warrantee only allows for a 44% off this new tire since there’s road hazard damage and then I needed to buy another warrantee for the new tire… Way to nickel and dime. Regardless I reluctantly agree. I am quoted an hr — 10:30am.
11:20am rolls around and I’ve still not seen my vehicle nor gotten any word. I go up to the rep to voice my disappointment. He gets his manager and the manager can only give me half hearted excuses and is caught in an excuse he has no explanation for.
Basically goes like this «Yes, you did see your vehicle get the new tire and roll out at 10am but there was another car waiting before yours for a wheel alignment.» me — «This car before mine, it obviously did not arrive before my vehicle. And even if it did, it doesn’t take that long to do 2 wheel alignments.» Manager — just stands there wordless trying to think of an excuse and just wordlessly moves his mouth. I let him off the hook after realizing that this was going to go nowhere and tell him to just let me get my car and be off. He apologizes at this point and I leave the store.
Long story short — Don’t come here. There’s no respect for the customer and no respect for your time. Things are poorly managed and instead of attempting to turn things around, constant excuses are provided, and even when the excuses are rebutted with solid logic and evidence, nothing is done.
