The agent spent thirty minutes entering data into her computer that I had already entered into an on-​line tax filing package just to tell me my numbers were correct. In reality I had one question to ask and that was about IRAs, for which I got a response of «I don’t know».
I have asked for my $ 29 back but the manager has yet to return my call. So if you are already using tax preparation software or are not a novice at doing your own taxes you will probably get no value from a visit to H&R Block.
