What a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I had with, Frederick Remer. I got recommended to Frederick through a friend. I talked to him on the phone and WE SET an appointment to meet. I called him a couple hours before the meeting to confirm we were going to meet, even called him earlier in the day and left him a voice message.
I drove an hour IN TRAFFIC to meet him ON TIME at his office and he wasn’t there. I talked to his secretary and she said she didn’t see any appointment for me, she also didn’t seem very sympathetic to the fact I took the time to drive an hour to Hayward to be stood up.
I finally got a call from Frederick 2 hours after our scheduled meeting time. He said he got stuck in the city which is fine, but why couldn’t he take 2 minutes (or less) of his time and simply reach out to me to reschedule the appointment? When I told him how I had to drive all the way out there in traffic, he also shared his secretary’s lack of compassion, simply brushing it off with a, «I don’t care about you» attitude.
He then tried to get me to send my paperwork over like nothing had ever happened — like he never even flaked on me. When I told him I had some reservations about having him as my attorney, he was very rude and short with me, and HUNG UP ON ME!!!
I was never rude to Mr. Remer, I never talked to him in a negative tone, and never cursed at him or cursed at all for that matter. So for him to treat me the way he did caught me totally by surprise, especially since he seems to have good ratings on Unilocal.IDK, maybe these other reviews were written by his friends and family. Maybe Frederick is nice and professional ONCE he gets your money because I definitely didn’t experience the same service that everyone else is talking about on, Unilocal.
My case must not have been important enough for Frederick to show up to our appointment or give me a quick courtesy call to reschedule. But I definitely didn’t expect him or his secretary to show little to no remorse for missing our appointment. It’s not just an hour driving IN TRAFFIC, this was during rush hour so the drive back to my house (going with the flow of traffic) was going to be almost 2 hours. Even though I know he doesn’t care, I have a busy schedule just like, Mr. Remer. I work two jobs — one which is my own business — so it’s hard to take 3 HOURS out of my day to be flaked on and accomplish absolutely nothing!
Mr. Remer, I own a business just like you own a business, and I WOULD NEVER treat a client/​customer with the lack of disrespect and professionalism that you treated me with. Other peoples’ time is just as valuable as your time. You can always make more money, but time — time you can never get back.
There are many good attorneys in the Bay Area so don’t waste your time (like I did) on, Mr. Remer.

Throughout my whole DUI experience with DMV and Alameda county court system, Remer was there for me to get the best result possible.
I have to inform EVERYONE that this is best law firm in the state on California. I never had a doubt in Remer’s ability to help me in this process. I am so thankful for his hard work and professionalism on getting my case resolved by getting me back my DRIVER LICENSE! yes people!!! my driver license.

if you have any doubt in your mind about Hiring Mr. Remer please slap yourself. He is a true professional through and through. he helped me through my whole process of my case. He got the DMV to drop my case completely and even wrangled the DA to drop my charges down to a reckless driving. I got everything i paid for and even more. When a freak accident occurred Mr Remer was recommended to me. I needed a lawyer in court in less than 18 hours. I called and talked to Christine, Mr. Remer’s amazing assistant. She hunted down Mr. Remer who took my case and met me at court in the morning. He came in and went right to work questioning the DA about the case. I’ve been working with Fred for over 7 years. Any trouble i’ve gotten myself into this man has gone through hoops and hurdles to get me out of it. I’ve been arrested 3 times for DUI’s (STUPID, I know.) in the past 7 years and was convicted only my first time in 2005 but I was 21 yrs old, blew double B.A.C, shirtless and caught in the middle of an intersection sleeping. (TRUE STORY SMH) Even still, he got it reduced.

I kept my license, didn’t go to jail, don’t have multiple DUI on my record, and no penalties like education or devices, so I’m happy.
On a side note, going to jail even overnight is a fucking nightmare. Makes you think about life and how to make it better. I’m in the nightlife profession and it’s normal to have a few drinks more so occasionally than the general public but if I drink I get a room or pay the cab rate to get me home and out of jail.
