I have known Arno Hachaduryan since he first began his engineering career, and was, in fact, his first paying customer. If Unilocal offered 6 start reviews, I would give Arno a 7.
Since 2010, Arno has been involved in 4 recording projects of mine as recording engineer, mixing engineer, mastering and co-​producing. These projects have involved a variety of musical styles and approaches, requiring Arno to learn new musical techniques for almost every song.
Arno’s level of skill, his dedication to his craft, his enthusiasm and his constructive feedback are unsurpassed. Although he already has tremendous skills as a recording and mixing engineer, he never stops learning new things and techniques to get even better. Each project I have done with him has surprised me with the new level of professionalism and skill he has brought every time.
In the recording studio, he challenges me to improve on my performance until we get something great. His feedback is accurate and insightful. He hears things that only a skilled engineer and a talented musician could hear. And he makes sure that I walk out the door with the best performance I am capable of. And on top of this, he makes creative suggestions that will often push the songs to a new level of inventiveness. This is why I have credited him on my album notes as co-​producer.
In the mixing booth, Arno listens carefully to each track, assessing what is needed for the whole sound to come together. He has made wonderful creative suggestions for mixing that have taken the songs beyond what I imagined. And he carefully listens to all of my feedback as I review the mixes to make sure that my vision for the song gets translated to the recording.
Throughout each project, Arno dedicates himself to the task with an enthusiasm and positivity that go way beyond the usual engineer’s approach.

I was introduced to Arno/​The Lazy Cocoon for a San Jose popup event called The Commons. His group set up sound for 5 different event stations, and advanced all of the artists. I showed up with a drummer instead of the pre-​planned percussionist, and he didn’t miss a beat.
