We had our company awards banquet here last Saturday night in one of the private rooms downstairs. Walker was the employee in charge of our room and taking care of us and our food and drinks. This 5 star review is for his service, smile and great attitude. He was amazing, thank you Walker for making our event wonderful!!!

A true gem in the East Bay Hills. The views are spectacular and the course is always in impeccable shape. The staff in the pro shop are always helpful

I absolutely love this place!!! I met with Lesli to inquire about booking my wedding here next year. This place exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked up to the time I left I received nothing but exceptional service. I was greeted by Lesli with a personalized sign on one of the tables. It was a great special touch. As we sat and went over the details, I was highly impressed about how knowledgeable and detailed oriented Lesli is. After our meeting she took me and my family around to show us the event space. The views of the Bay are absolutely breathtaking. After our meeting we had lunch at the clubhouse. The food was great. I had the Kobe Beef Sliders, my future MIL had the fish tacos and raved about them, my aunt had the Nachos and my mom had the Calamari. I can not wait to have my wedding here.

Submitted an inquiry for more information to hold an event here. I was contacted back immediately via email by Lesli Mack. I called her and made arrangements to tour the facility with my fiancé and I. When we met with her she was professional and extremely accommodating. She was very informative and gave me excellent suggestions for menu options catering to my specifications.
The view is beautiful. The staff is professional. We are very excited to be having our event here and our minds are at ease knowing Lesli will be in charge. She is creative, knowledgeable, and her taste in how to arrange events is impeccable. We are definitely looking forward to working with her and the club.

Consistently great food is overshadowed by a staff that has yet to meet expectations. On this recent visit: broken glassware served to us, several broken/​dropped dishes while we were there, menu incorrect again, again a slow kitchen. Too bad they can’t get it right! Or does no one (owner) care?

This is an Awesome location for Golf, Weddings, Parties and the View from the Club House is just spectacular. The staff at stonebrae really go out of their way to cater to its members and guests too. The whole team is very professional and curteous. The next time you are planning any event look this place up. Its a Gem that not too many people know about.

The new clubhouse is fancy and the views are great if the bay below, The dining area is upscale and the staff does a good job. The course is in great condition and it’s a tough but fun course. Nice to see the homes being built again and that this place survived the recession.

I’ve been up to the new clubhouse a number of times. Beautiful location, great food, friendly staff, and the views are to die for! 75 mile span of the bay area: it does not get better than that.

What a beautiful gated community Nestled up top of the hayward hills. The various home developers have all done a fantastic job with these beautiful Californian homes. Stonebrae also contains a very nice and new elementary school and a gorgeous TPC PGA golf course. The country club has a great location and very tasty menu. I love to brunch here from time to time it is so serene. Amazing golf course, beautiful views of the entire Bay Area, great school, grazing deer and horses… I almost forget I’m in hayward every time I’m here.

I recently met with special events staff to inquire about booking a party at the country club. Upon my arrival, staff greeted me and my daughter immediately and were very friendly. The facility offers refreshing views of the Bay and light-​filled spaces. I had lunch with the special events staff and ordered the salmon BLT. The sandwich was delicious and came with fries that were also seasoned and prepared well. I defintely recommend this venue for small special events, such as, a wedding (that’s under 120), bridal showers, elegant baby showers, company parties and etc. Costs are competitive, but worth it if in your budget.

The new clubhouse is beautiful. The view alone from the clubhouse is an amazing view of the bay area. You can see from San francisco to San Jose. Just beautiful.
I cannot wait to come back here and to play a round of golf.

Best golf course in the Greater Bay Area. David Kidd design and the unbelievable views are unsurpassed. Attended many events, including the PGA Tour’s golf tournaments and the service and food is fabulous. The new clubhouse opening in July 2014 is going to be the topper. Nothing like it in Northern California.

Bad service! do not book any events here! will not do another event in the future. Shady business!

Anyone who appreciates a world class golf course, they will love this place. If you don’t have good command over your ball, you will be punished as you should be. If you hit quality shots, you will be rewarded as you should be. The course is young, so it isn’t hyped up like the other prestigious courses in the Bay area, but like every other David McKay Kidd course (Bandon Dunes, Tetherow, St Andrews Castle Course, and über exclusive Nanea) just a matter of time this place racks up the award rankings and fanfare. Being also an O Club member, I love Lake, but I have a hard time putting up with the crazy slow rounds, subpar conditions, and the «i’m trying too hard» pretentious environment. Plus, Stonebrae is way more enjoyable to play regularly.

I love this place so I prepaid 50 rounds for $ 7500. I’m also a member at Olympic club but prefer to play here for the following reasons:
Better greens n overall golf conditions
Super friendly members n staff
Course time is very fast, 3 ½ hr rounds
Very kid friendly, unlike oly club, 5 yr olds are not allowed on the range
Finally, no pretentious attitude
Olympic club can bite me, course is always wet, greens are slow n bumpy, and members n staff are aholes n arrogant

From pulling in parking lot to the end of the day in Pro Shop and bar, service friendly and professional without being pretentious. The golf course unique and a challenge. Not trumped up.
The best feature is the combo tees. I mean fantastic idea. we were bot wanting to be beat up playing the Black tees, but on the scorecard has listed Black/​Silver. which has 3 holes each side or so with the blocks up so the carry over some barrancas wouldn’t be so intense. Plus the combos even are rated to make it official. GREAT shape greens are true. CANT wait to head back. Next time in shorts and no sweater. Lastly the views from the top of the east bay hills are simulating. I almost could see all the way down to Gilroy I left my back door open. lol

Was lucky enough to have met a friend who is a member of this FABULOUS country club! I’ve played at a number of clubs through the years and I must say, this one is among the very best on so many levels. The staff was amazing! The members were warm and welcoming, unlike some private clubs that can be a little snooty, aloof and a bit too formal for my taste. We felt very welcome there, even though we arrived about a half hour earlier than our host.
This incredible Scottish highlands style course was in perfect condition with the most beautiful views of the Bay area. I have ever seen. On 17, you could see from downtown San Jose all the way to San Francisco and the Transamerica building! It was a breathtaking panorama! If you like viewing wildlife when playing golf as I do, you won’t be disappointed. In addition to the many species of birds, there was a young, playful coyote watching us from a distance and the antics of the many species of groundsquirrels kept us entertained as they sunned themselves on the beautiful rock formations, watching us intently and adding to the charm. The greens were beautiful and very challenging and very fun… tough to read but our host, was so familiar with the course and a great help through the round. LOVED playing there! Would absolutely recommend it to anyone who might be looking for a great club to join. The membership fee is very reasonable as private clubs go and as the area is developed and the new clubhouse is completed, my guess is it will likely skyrocket at some point. The time to get in, if you are considering joining a private club, is NOW! The food was excellent. The people were very, very nice. The location was amazing. And oh, the course! Had so much fun. Hope to be invited back real soon.

Just recently got married here on Aug 10^th 2013. We booked this venue as a referral of an acquaintance of mine. It wasn’t on any of those wedding websites so there was no other way to know they even did weddings! good for me, not for them. When we first booked over 2 years ago know they had a different girl working the weddings. when I booked, we called to check in later and she had left! I was freaking out. (she was the reason I felt so comfortable there) The view sold me! it was love at first site. I knew right away that this was going to be my venue. When I was told the director Kevin would be out wedding coordinator I just about cried, I was so scared that a man would be able to plan a wedding. BOY was I WRONG. He surpassed my expectations! He was always available, a short speedy email away, complimentary tasting, food was amazing my guests are still talking about the steak and chicken we served. He was always in my view on the day of, and if I ever needed anything he was right there. he made sure everything was set up perfectly the day before, and I literally couldn’t be more impressed with how everything unraveled. I have friends who have gotten married around the same time as me who paid thousands more than I did, and this was part of the reason why I choose it. NOT even knowing the quality of service, food, and everything I was getting. Thank you so much Stonebrae for giving me the wedding of my dreams

I photographed a wedding here a few weeks ago and I was really impressed with this venue. Amy, the event coordinator was a pleasure to work with and really had her act together. The ceremony site was breathtaking, and Amy was happy to show me a really gorgeous spot for taking formal bridal images. If you’re in the market for a wedding venue, make sure to add this to your list of places to look into!

This course is hard. get it?
It’s also hard to find. I never even knew this course existed until this past spring. And since then I have been back on a few occasions and each time finding it is almost as challenging as playing it.
I love this course, but I love it for reasons that most golfers would hate. It’s challenging. It’s long, The greens are lightning fast. Deeeeeeeep bunkers! But the course is fair and rewards good shots. And the bar in the clubhouse is fully stocked. You will need it, trust me.
The views? Amazing! From virtually every hole on the course you are treated to spectacular views of the entire Bay Area. From Marin all the way down to the Santa Clara Valley. However, the views of your slice and watching your ball end up on the bottom of the canyon not so much.
When I grow up, I want a golf club membership!
