This restaurant was recommended by friends who raved about the short ribs and polenta. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for all of the dishes. I ordered the carbonara and it was mediocre especially considering the caliber of food they are known to serve. My dish was simply over cooked egg noodles with what resembled crumbled bacon on top. It wasn’t flavorful and actually the overall afterthought of this dish was basically that it was just salty. I’ve had all types of carbonara and I have to say this was my least favorite. I didn’t even finish it. On the other hand, the restaurant provided a comfortable and cozy ambiance. The hostesses were very friendly and we were seated quickly. Overall if given the option, I’d prefer to try a different Italian restaurant over returning to Baci.

This place is awesome! We didn’t have a reservation. Not a good move on our part for a Saturday night. The host was super nice and said if she had any no shows, she would text us if there was anything available. 20 minutes later we receive a text saying that there was an available table. After we were seated, the host came to our table and said she was happy to see us and glad we made it back. Great customer service! Dinner was amazing! My fiancée is a vegetarian, our waiter was extremely nice and was very accommodating to her needs. What a great place to spend our anniversary. Thank you for a very pleasant evening.

Came here for my 6^th time with my mom last night for Mothers Day. The food was superb as always, service was excellent, we always feel well taken care of here. I am Celiac and appreciate the care they take in order to provide gluten free options without the dangers of cross contamination. We tried the fingerling potatoes and they were amazing and just as great rewarmed the next day! I love their pasta dishes the most and the desserts are outstanding. Love the panna cotta but the chocolate decadence is the best, they even replaced the gelato with sorbet when I was there celebrating my 21^st birthday a couple months ago. The staff is so thoughtful and considerate, I love this place and eat here anytime I happen to be in Healdsburg. Definitely worth the drive and not to be missed!

Baci has become a staple for us. It is the ultimate dining experience in Sonoma County. The food is incredible and traditional, the dining staff from hostess to the lovely owner that always greets us at the front door, to Sommelier, and server, it’s impeccable service. They are so knowledgable, and not overly, but very attentive. The thing that shocks us the most is the tab that comes at the end. After all the wine, appetizers, pizza, entrees and desserts our bill is very affordable. If you live in Sonoma county like we do, you know the drill when it comes to going out to eat at places of this caliber: expect to get a very small amount of food on each dish, and to pay way too much money for it!
That’s just not the case at Baci. At first it became a favorite restaurant of ours for holidays like my birthday, Valentine’s Day, and Mothers Day, now it’s a date night place whenever we get the chance to go out.
We try something different every time and go with the Somm’s recommendation on wine, we have decided that all the times we have come to Baci we have NEVER been served a mediocre dish. Not one! Every dish is amazing! Every wine goes great with the food. And we love the staff and owners that make you feel so at home.
By far our favorite restaurant!

We got really tired of restaurants that serve overly complicated food. So we tried Bica, because it seemed like it would be nice and simple. It was nice, simple, delicious, and run by warm, welcoming people. The wood-​fired fava beans were amazing. Good food, great people, wonderful ambiance. Excellent meal. Thank you!

Lovely experience, superb service, and extremely personable staff and owner! I’d totally come back the next time I am in the neighborhood again. See the pics for yourself, everything was extremely delicious and even the wine, as suggested by the sommelier, was great! The owner personally greeted us and asked if everything was served right during our meal. Very happy that we came here for dinner; my friend and I had an absolutely wonderful time indeed. :)

We had a lovely experience here! It was a busy night and service was still prompt and personal. We had been on a wine tour and were both hungry and tired and this was the perfect way to end a really good day. The food was piping hot when it came out and really had a true, genuine Italian feel. We were just in Italy last year and this was very reminiscent! The carpaccio was perfect, excellent Caesar salad and our main course was a delicious chicken parmesan type dish with what seemed like home made noodles! So good!

Wonderful food and service! Such a nice atmosphere. Absolutely returning to this restaurant on my next visit.

Loved the burrata appetizer. On to fabulous halibut (special), yummy risotto and awesome pasta. Can’t wait to come back!

What an amazing restaurant. To start with the service there was phenomenal. A very extensive and flavorful wine list. I had the gnocchi which I shared. Also had a salmon dish that was pretty outstanding. My wife had the polenta which was creamy and almost the best I’ve ever had. Our son the carnivore had I think it was a short rib dish that he raved about. Can’t think of a better place to dine there that combines great service and extensive food and wine choices. We really appreciate the chef and owner checking in with us even though we are not regulars. It made us feel very welcome. We will definitely come back here again and try some more of their flavorful choices.

I’ve been here multiple times and the owner and staff are always very attentive and friendly. The lobster ravioli and caprese salad are always my go tos; but honestly everything I’ve had here is delicious.

I had the special cannelloni with crab and lobster sauce that was amazing. Very rich, but amazing. My friend had the gnocchi which was very good, but not the best I’ve ever tasted. Overall I’d say a four star dinner. Service was impeccable and the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. I“d eat here again and maybe focus on the specials. Great wine list and nice selection of wine by the glass. It was a pricey dinner but we expected that.

This restaurant has become our favorite place for dinner. The portions are huge, the staff is so friendly & the owner/​chef takes the time to stop by each table & check on you.
I have never been a fan of chicken parmigiana, but I tasted my husbands & oh my gosh! Now I order it every time! The sauce has so much flavor & is the best red sauce I’ve ever tasted (sorry mom)!
My husband has tried the seafood stew, amazing as well! I’m not sure there is anything on the menu that we wouldn’t like actually. It’s all so good!
Definitely a place to try, & they are open on Monday nights.

This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!!! We started with an Italian white wine and since we could decide on an entrée we ordered the lobster ravioli to share as an appetizer. It wasn’t a large portion but rich and the sauce was phenomenal, I used every bit with the bread on the table!
For dinner I ordered the seafood risotto & my husband had the lamb shank with creamy polenta. I’m not kidding when I say it made me want to say obscenities. We seriously said ‘holy shit!’ ‘This is so fucking good’. I’ll always remember the amazing food & great service!

I continue to return to Bacci because their food is simply fabulous! The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because their portion sizes are very small. I always order the Braised Short ribs which are fall off the bone fabulous and the portion is perfect for me. However others in my party were left hungry with what they ordered and I would have too. One of our guest ordered the ravioli’s which were fabulous but probably only 4 – 5 on plate. Another guest ordered the risotto with fungi. While this dish was delicious, the presentation was horrible and the portion very small. The prices are very expensive but in line with the other fabulous Healdsburg restaurants. I will continue to return but I will stick with my favorite dish, the short ribs!

Overall a great Italian restaurant in downtown Healdsburg. The prices were reasonable for the area and the food was very good. The staff was very nice too. We had appetizers, salads, pasta and veal. Tiramsu was excellent. Chocolate mousse not so much. Nice ambiance too.

We had a «perfect» dinner experience on a Saturday night. Excellent wine choices, and samples to make sure we made the perfect selection. There were many different kinds of bread in the little basket delivered with olive oil and aged balsamic for dipping. Hubby and I split a perfect Caesar salad and then he ordered a pizza from the woodfired oven. I enjoyed an outstanding penne puttanesca. It could not have been any better. We did not have dessert because we were completely stuffed.

Had the polenta which was really good! Also had the panna cotta for dessert which was also very good. I haven’t tried the pizza or pasta so I cant speak for those. But the service was one of the best I’ve encountered. Met the chef and our waitress was super friendly and upbeat. Food didn’t take too long either. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area!

Great place! My boyfriend and I had dinner here last night to celebrate our anniversary and everything from ambiance, service and food exceeded our expectations. We started off with the burrata which was the perfect appetizer between the two of us. I got the tagliatelle con frutti di mare which was phenomenal and my boyfriend enjoyed his gnocchi alla bolognese. We also got a bottle of the Alexander Valley Cab Franc. I’ll definitely come back the next time I am in town!

I left this restaurant and said it was the best meal of my life!!! The food was all natural and soooo rich. It made me feel like I was eating true Italian food. I have lots of food allergies and the wait staff did an amazing job of making me a meal that I could eat and still tasted epic! It is a small restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. If you come to Healdsberg and skip this stop… You missed out.
MAKE RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME!

Food was forgettable, and pricey $ 22 for gnocchi, no meat no side. Hostess was quick to make a big deal about not having a reservation so we ate at the bar by time we finished the place was still half empty

The burrata is a must to start off with for an appetizer. You can pair it with the Ferrari-​Carano Sienna. We also ordered the chicken piccata, orichiette brocholini, and lobster ravioli. All the food dishes were excellent. I would highly recommend all these dishes. The service here is impeccable. Our appetizer and entrees came out incredibly fast. Definitely a place to return to. Michael was a very good server. The executive chef came out and greeted. All and all an amazing experience.

The food was okay, but the service was awful! We came here for our anniversary after seeing lots of good reviews, but were super disappointed, it unfortunately kinda ruined our evening.
The food was overpriced for the quality, I’ve received just as good food from much cheaper places. The food here was seriously nothing spectacular. We arrived at 6pm with a reservation, were seated immediately, at the very back corner of the restaurant, in a corner beside the exit door. No windows near by, just utter darkness. It was like eating in a cave. The service started out good, we ordered our food and drinks within 20 mins of our arrival, we ordered the Cesar salad to start at the recommendation of our server, it was okay, absolutely nothing special. Kinda soggy. At least it came out fast.
We also ordered the short rib ravioli and the baked lobster cannelloni. They took FOREVER! I timed it, and it took an hour and twenty minutes after we ordered, for our food to come out. That’s right, over an HOUR between ordering and being served. And the things we ordered weren’t super complex and I doubt they make each plate from scratch.
The table beside us was seated after we ordered, ordered their food, got it, ate it, ordered dessert, ate dessert, paid and left all before our food even came! It was horrendous!
Don’t go here unless you want to spend your entire evening starving beside the exit door. If we hadn’t ordered the salad I think we may have died. The wine pairing by the sommelier was not that impressive either, kinda disappointing, but at least it was served to us quickly.
After we ate our food we waited again while our server brought the dessert list, then we quickly glanced over and decided not to get anything, it took forever for her to come back and check if we wanted to order anything, she even was going to the tables near by and checking, but not checking on us. Finally we just asked for the check, she brought it, then took forever again to come take it back to run our credit card.
Overall our experience sucked and it kinda ruined our anniversary evening. We had high hopes for Baci, but it was a huge disappointment…

A MUST visit for dinner and the service, cuisine and wine as it is a perfect pairing for a date night or with family and friends (family oriented for children as well). Lisbeth, the owner personally greets all of her guests, John the Somm makes sure you are happy with your wines, and all the servers provide stellar service and make perfect recommendations of menu items, we were not disappointed, rather we were wonderfully pleased.
We will be back, and be sure to take family and friends to Baci Café & Wine Bar as it is is as charming as the chic and charming town of Healdsburg itself!

We decided to take an impromptu trip up to Healdsburg on a Sunday. Our only rule was we had to try some places that we have never been to before. After wine tasting at two tasting rooms we had never been to before, the second tasting room recommended we try Baci and indicated if we brought their wine in we would not pay corkage.
So off we went to Baci with our bottle of wine, and so glad we did.
Besides their regular menu, they had several weekend specials, including a crab and leek stuffed house made pasta with a creamy lobster sauce. We had to try it. It was sublime and just a taste of heaven on the tongue. We were in total food bliss! We perused the wine list which was excellent and had very low markups on the wines.
Service was outstanding, and they have a full bar as well as the excellent wine list.
Highly recommend this restaurant, and we definitely plan on being repeat customers.

DINNER AT LAST!!! that’s how i felt when we arrived after purposefully avoiding eating for the latter half of the day. Hey this place is pretty sweet. Scopa was undergoing renovations so we decided to check this place out. What a delight! Little noisy as its just one open dining area but the way i see it we now had more opportunities to eavesdrop on other people conversations (we all know people watching is very fascinating am I right?)
Our authentic Italian waiter (points!) was very kind, allowed us to taste a wine before we ordered the bottle even though it was not offered by the glass. I tried to give him full reign of our dinner and choose for us but he was a little reluctant. Any-​who we scored some carpaccio to start along with a special and a lamb shank. It was fantastic and the lamb recommendation from our waiter was the lead. Uncomfortably full we reluctantly ordered some Tiramisu which ended up being really good!
Overall it was a really pleasant dining experience. Healdsburg for the win!

After reading the reviews for Baci we decided to go here for a birthday party (six guests). We made a reservation online via the website and it was scheduled perfectly. Two of us arrived twenty minutes early and instead of telling us to wait they seated us immediately and didn’t mind us sitting early.
Service — Was AMAZING, our server was Michael and he was professional and kind and perfectly attentive. The other staff seemed just as great as him, they always had plates cleared and glasses full.
Food — We got three appetizers (bruschetta /​the lime shrimp /​and the mozzarella on the baguette) — All three were very good but the bruschetta was the table favorite.
Main Dish — I had the carbonara which was delicious, other items we had were: lobster ravioli /​veal flank /​veal parmesan /​sausage pizza /​gnocchi bolognese — everything on this list was awesome. Personally I thought the carbonara was hands down the best item however.
Wine — The list is great many local small wineries which is nice to see them support the small guys
The only negative I would say is it is pricey and the size of the dishes were small. I am a small eater and I finished my carbonara no problem and had soup and appetizers. I had anticipated being able to take some home but the servings are too small to do that.
Lastly the desserts — we had the ghillotto sampler and it was adorable in four little cones and the panna cotta which was also amazing.
All in all the food was very good, service exemplary and overall dining experience was outstanding. If you want a higher end restaurant for a nice evening out this is the place to go.
Oh and we didn’t bring my five year old because the reviews said it wasn’t kid friendly but I think it would have been fine and they even had coloring sheets and crayons for kids.

Outstanding — this was the best dining experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time. The food was terrific, but more importantly, the service was excellent. From the moment they sat us at our table, I felt they were vigilant about our dinner to make sure it was a great experience. They immediately replaced a glass of wine that had a bit of cork in it without even being asked. When we split our desserts, they gave us separate plates. And they even were patient in splitting the tab.
And as far as Healdsburg dining goes, the prices were reasonable.
