Located on 114 acres adjacent to the Chattahoochee National forest, our 35 miles of beautiful mountain scenery is just 9 miles from Helen, Ga in the Northeast Georgia mountains. A picturesque setting for riding horses or zipping through the canopy of the trees, cycling, kayaking, NEW ATV tours and everything in between. Sunburst has something for all ages and abilities. Whether you are a horse-​crazy kid or an adventure seeking adult, there is something for everyone.

Only two hours from Atlanta, we are located in the Blue Ridge mountain range in Batesville a small town in the county of Habersham. We are minutes from Helen, Clarkesville and Cleveland and several state parks, there are thousands of acres available for horseback riding and all kinds of outdoor activities…

Mark and Becky E.

Business Owner

Mark and Becky have competed locally and internationally in long distance riding. Both have taught riding lessons, directed a girls horse camp for 16 years, broke and trained horses personally as well as regionally. Sunburst Stables has been recognized for the quality trail rides and the zipline tour as outstanding. The summer girls horse camp is widely known and comes highly recommended throughout the equestrian community.

We LOVE this place. We stay usually once a year here — in fact we don’t like to tell too many people about it so that we can get our cabin. I love that both my kids can zip line AND horseback ride — and two years ago we even brought home two baby bunnies from this place — they had a bunch they were trying to get rid of. We love the couple that owns the place — love the family feel. We consider it our vacation home. We have a blast whenever we go!

My wife and I were spending the weekend in Helen & came out to Sunburst for the Adventure kayak with peddle kayaks (so cool) & the hike to Mini Haha falls.
We started out by hanging out on their beautiful farm & seeing all the horses. Then we look out over the pond and see this incredible bird (an Osprey).
Off to the lake as passengers in a very comfortable van while Mark gave us the tour of the area — talking about the history — the geography and explaining the waterway we would be on, while towing the Kayaks behind us.
They put the kayaks in the water at the start of the lake & we were able to just peddle down at our own pace, allowing the current to take us when we wanted & peddle when we wanted to go faster. They never once rushed us, just let us go at our own leisurely pace while we marveled at the beautiful sites.
Quite a ways down the lake, we pulled off and they helped us out of the kayaks to start our nice hike to the mini haha falls. What a beautiful site!!! Absolutely amazing and I am incapable of describing it properly. We stayed here for a few minutes, conversing and had a snack & water.
Then back in the Kayaks to the boat landing where we took the Van back the farm.
The trip was easy, pleasant, pleasurable, interesting and educational. Mark and his guides took care of everything, and we could just relax.
We can’t wait to go back for the zip lines, horses & ATVs!

We had a very enjoyable trail ride through picturesque fields and forest. The staff were very pleasant & helpful and interacted nicely with the animals who appeared to be well cared for.

If you are looking for a place to take smaller (but still very adventurous) kids zip-​lining, this is your spot! My 7-​year-​old couldn’t stop talking about our last zip race through the water, and the 10-​year-​old was thrilled with the fact that our guides showed her how to zip upside-​down at breakneck speeds. I, too, had a blast and will definitely go back for more. We also went horseback riding, which was well-​guided and a great experience for kids who have never been on a horse before. Many thanks to the owners and to our guides for giving us an exciting and memorable experience, and injecting humor and laughter into it all.

First time Zipliners! Had THE best time! Guides (Brandon, Michael, and Jeff) were very professional and entertaining! Felt very safe and was able to enjoy the whole experience! Will come back and «zip» again, might also add in trail ride! The seven Ziplines were awesome, scenery was breathtaking! Can’t begin to say enough about this experience, was the highlight of our Helen vacation!

We loved it ALL! spent 2 days here– ATV, horseback riding and zip lining! The kids thought it was the bomb! Saw deer and they have lots of domesticated animals around the property: peacocks, emu, baby goats, donkey, llama, turkeys, horses… oh, and they have two cabins for rent for a total of 7 bedrooms… family owned and run– I like that!

Visited last Friday, started with A 10am zip lining tour. What a great way to wake up ! The guides were very professional and informative. Can’t say enough good things about the tour, just remember when zip over the pond «look for the turkey» .
The afternoon we set out for a 2 hr ride with Tony, again another very professional guide. If you are looking to see some of the beautiful country north ga has to offer head on up and book a ride. Looking forward to visiting here again.

This was a blast! They have a ziplining course with 7 zip lines for $ 55.00 and they are fun fun! Also, they take pics the whole time so put your smiling face on. The guides are witty and very friendly. Cant wait to go back and zip again!

What a great time! We did the zip-​line course, and everyone — aged 11 – 73 — had a blast. The guides were friendly and informative. Next time, we’ll try the horseback riding too.
