The prices may be better than Helena’s long-established health natural foods store. I haven’t compared many. But it’s selection is far more sparse, the staff seem basically relegated to checking and stocking clerks rather than real professionals, and there’s neither a hot food option nor a bulk foods isle, something that for me is essential. It’s prepackaged«bulk» items(such as bulk spices) seem quite stale compared to what I’m used to at any other store.

I have been here on May occasions and been very satisfied with the store. The staff has always been eager to help and very nice. I wish they had bigger isles though and a hot food bar but other than that can’t complain.

What a welcome addition to Helena. Good selection of natural and organic food at reasonable prices. Fresh produce, a small but decent meat selection, and well-organized shelves. I personally would like to see bulk bins for staple items like you see at most natural food stores– they only provide pre-packaged quantities of «bulk» items. Apparently this is due to the chain’s philosophy that these bins pose a food safety issue, which I respectfully disagree with. I don’t do the vitamin or supplement thing so I don’t know anything about that side of the store. I normally prefer a local store to a chain, but the locally-owned natural foods joint just doesn’t measure up to this place.

Impressed. Being in Montana I was surprised to find this gem. Very similar to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc. Apparently it’s a family owned business with only a few locations. Great prices for organic and locally produced products. Small fresh produce selection. Great vegan, vegetarian options. Very large vitamin/supplement selection for prices cheaper than online. Also a very well stocked section of organic remedies and higher end beauty products. Variety of different things that you can’t find at a regular grocery store such as pad Thai noodles, fresh herbs, gluten free products, etc. All in all I will probably be traveling to Helena ever so often to do my grocery shopping here.

Finally! reasonable prices for healthy food! I like the deli at the Real Food Store, but I’ll be doing my grocery shopping here from now on.
