History

Established in 1996.

I began practicing law in 1982 by working at a small law office in Brentwood, Long Island working on criminal cases, divorce cases and conducting residential real estate transactions as I prepared for admission to the New York Bar. In 1984 I joined a mid-​sized insurance defense law firm engaged in medical malpractice litigation. In early 1989 I began representing victims in negligence cases and medical malpractice actions. In the 1990’s I also began working on criminal cases and representing criminal defendants in state court proceedings. I have since broadened the scope of the different types of cases I litigate to include commercial disputes in state court and the representation of creditors before the U.S. Bankruptcy court.

I am a New York attorney of Hispanic heritage who is fluent in both English and Spanish that has dedicated the past 28 years to representing the interests of individuals and businesses involved in state and federal litigation in New York. In 1996, I formed the professional corporation I now practice under known as, R. David Marquez, P.C. I am located in Hempstead, Long Island. My main purpose in practicing law is to help those in need of legal representation and to do everything I can to get them fair treatment in court.
