Academy of Gymnastics Dance & Cheerleading

I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed. My daughter has been going here for 4 yrs now (started when she was 6). They have some extremely qualified coaches and the owners Sorin & Tammy are so caring and hands on with the kids that it makes everyone feel like family. I love this place so much that I just started my 4yr. old son in gymnastics classes also.
To sum it up, the energy from the owners and staff is positive, warm and welcoming. They are very accommodating and it just feels like home when walking into the gym.

This gym is dishonest, and only cares about getting your money. After making the tough decision to leave this gym after 2 ½ years due to outrageously high competition assessment fees, my girls were told by their team coach, with the owner’s approval, they were no longer allowed to attend gymnastics at The Academy, even though I had already paid for the session. I was told no refund would be given for the services I had paid for, which came out to nearly $ 200. After calling the police on me and having my trespassed from the building, they assessed my account with $ 988.00 claiming I did not give enough notice to leave. I never signed a contract, so there was no legal way they could assess the fee to my account. But, they did anyway. By assessing this fee, my girls became ineligible to compete in the upcoming season. The Academy office managers did not care. All they cared about was that they receive their money. With threat of filing with small claims court and a complaint with the Attorney Generals office, The office manager called me and said per a discussion with the owner, they would remove the $ 988.00 balance if I would not pursue litigation. Ultimately, because I wanted my girls to be free and clear to further their gymnastics career at their new gym, I agreed. It took nearly a MONTH for me to received via email that the balance had been removed (even though I requested it to be sent via USPS since I now have a trust issue with The Academy owners and front office staff). My advice? FIND A DIFFERENT GYM, WITH HONEST OWNERS AND MANAGERS WHO CARE ABOUT MORE THAN THE MONEY YOU PAY THEM!

I have two girls in dance ages 8 and 10 and to supplement their dance, I have them take gymnastics to get stronger and learn more about technique. In order to do this, I have signed them up at Academy of Gymnastics for privates and the instructors are AMAZING. My girls are getting stronger and learning the right way to do certain moves. This place is friendly, easy to communicate with and they have some of the top notch coaches. I highly recommend this academy for any of your gymnastics or dance needs. You will be very pleased.

Just signed up here but already wondering if we were better off staying where we were. Having some difficulty with the front office staff and their policies. Classes are okay if you get a good instructor but some of them seem they would rather be somewhere else. Hopefully it gets better or we may be finding another place.

My initial thought of this place was great but once I enrolled my daughter into gymnastics classes here she was placed with girls a lot younger than her (she was 5, in a room with 3 and 4 year olds). Granted the fact that she had no experience at all and was a «beginner» but after 3 months she was still only doing tumbling and it seemed they were doing more playing around than actually learning anything related to gymnastics…
End result, she ended up getting bored of these classes and was never exited to go anymore so I un-​enrolled her and upon doing so was still charged for her membership twice! The lady explained they forgot to take her off the auto-​payment when she was un-​enrolled and she «could not» refund my money, but it would be credited if I ever wanted her to come back…
Waste of time, waste of money!

Pretty disappointed in this establishment. I purchased a voucher for my daughter on Amazon Local and called in to redeem it. The general manager said because she had been there before it couldn’t be used. The voucher doesn’t indicate it is for new customers — only indicates 1 voucher per purchaser, household. I asked the general manager to review it with me so I could see what I was missing. She indicated she has the right to refuse business and would not honor the voucher & it was up to me to contact Amazon Local to try & get my money back. Mind you, my daughter is autistic…
