Wow I read the two reviews that on my Dr. Tony Alamo and I’m wondering to myself what office did they go to. The two reviewer’s had such anger for the doctor that I just don’t see. It actually forced me to sign up on Unilocal so I can make what I think is an accurate review of my doctor of 15 years. I will mention the one negative is secondary to a positive, that is he’s always behind but the reason is he sits with you and in ordinate amount of time. He takes care of your medical issues in a very complete and thorough manner. If you ask him an intelligent questions he will spend the time to explain. In fact I truly believe that he enjoys the intellectual conversation I remember when I first went to him, I had recently graduated from an MBA program at UCLA. Of course he is a USC medical school graduate and I thought it would be funny to bring that up because of the inherent rivalry of the the 2 schools. On the contrary you can see that he immediately became interested in my education. Over the next 15 years we always finish every medical visit with a discussion about business he truly wants to know from me how my business is doing. He asks and wants to talk about the economy. His questions some times are tough because he truly does have an understanding of local, domestic and global economic issues. I think at the end of the day he is an excellent physician and does a great job with his office and staff, he is only human and when he’s exposed to patients that are interesting and probably intellectually close to him he truly enjoys the interaction. Sidenote all my friends I referred to him feel the same way I do. My only trepidation is that my ex-wife and ex-girlfriend still both go to him I may bump into them in the waiting room.

My husband went here for a year 2014 this Alamo became arrogant and ruder. What a joke this guy only want the money. He made my husband and others wait anywhere from 90min to 2hours! He has many trades and being a Dr. Is not one. Avoid the guy!

This is a very rude and disinterested doctor. When I complained about waiting one hour & forty minutes to see him, he said:“Get used to it, it’s because of Obamacare. If you don’t like it, find another doctor”. I got up & left. He is a very overrated doctor. I know he is Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commision so medicine must be his hobby! I am totally blown away by this Doctor. The way he treats his patients is just mind boggling !

Had an extremely unpleasant experience, will not be returning. There are plenty of reviews online on other websites about this doctor expressing the same general feelings. 5 reasons why I wouldn’t go back… 1. They spelled my name wrong within the system. After I told the assistant, she notified the receptionist, but sure enough it was still wrong on the paperwork they gave me after the appointment. 2. Came at 11:40am and left at 1pm(Friday) only 4 people were in the waiting area. I could hear the doctor talking to a vendor outside the waiting room they put me in. 3. Saw doctor at 12:50pm and left the building by 1pm. He spent 10 minutes to tell me my lab results were perfect and that I had nothing to worry about. 5. He kept the door open the entire time I was with him, seemed impatient and in a rush. Wanted me in and out, I had to ask him questions as he stood by the door to prevent him from cutting our session short. I was extremely unsatisfied, doctor did not show any sympathy or interest towards my concerns and was impatient. Ironically my dad had an appointment right after me and his experience was a little different. The doctor was extremely boastful and just bragged about some of his accomplishments to my dad. I believe he tries to hook in patients that will have a bigger payout for him and spends less time and interest in younger folks. Be warned, he cares more about your wallet than your health.

Joshua’s review was spot on. The first thing recommended to me by the good doctor was an expensive and rather extreme test with no interest in discussing symptoms or any past medical history. He had one foot out the door the whole time. Any input from me was cut off or otherwise dismissed. The whole consultation was terse, bewildering, and illustrated that he sees you not as a patient, but as a walking moneybag. Never again.

Look for another doctor. Don’t wast your time. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Dr. Alamo is rude and arrogant. He doesn’t make much eye contact and seemed disinterested in discussing symptoms past related medical history. Was very quick to make recommendations for costly tests. I spent more time sitting in the waiting room and with an asst then I did with him. I can see he is a busy doctor but if health is so important to him then giving a little better care to patients is not asking too much. I enjoyed receiving a letter of severance in the mail today 10/19/2012 that was dated 10/03/2012 noting he will no longer be my doctor. This stems from my calls to his office trying to get test results, a request for his recommendations in writing for me to review and noting to his staff how poorly he treats patients and that I would be looking for another physician. I did not get the requested list of his recommended tests.
