Camden Summit

We just learned today that our rent is being raised by $ 409 if we sign a new lease. Yes. You read that correctly. FOUR HUNDRED AND NINE DOLLARS. FROM $ 941 TO $ 1,350. It is unconscionable. That rate is for an old, non-​renovated Granite model. Yet they are listing the newly renovated ones on their site for $ 1,109 + $ 98 for the new Cox Cable & internet package that you are forced to pay for (even if you live in the stone age and on’t own a television or computer.)
We love our apartment. We LOVE our neighbors. I’m absolutely gutted and heartbroken that we can no longer stay. Because of the renovation, everyone I’ve spoken to in the complex is getting forced out or enduring a major rent increase and having to change apartments.
This company does NOT care about you. They also do not respond to complaints on anything that isn’t costing them money. There are lots of angry residents right now venting on each other, and Camden simply doesn’t give a flying poop as long as they are getting your rent money. Well, they are not getting ours anymore, we are moving out in March and will never set foot on a Camden property again.
I actually do not blame this particular property for the rent increase. I blame the corporate greedy executives. They need to take a good long look at themselves in the mirror and realize what heartless a**holes they’ve truly become.

Moved in about a month ago. Our apt was about 70% done which we were not informed until day of move in. We have a kitchen that only has 2 outlets that work. One side of our the kitchen the outlet do not work. Cabinets that we had to wait on for about 4 days came off in our bathroom which my husband fixed bc we would have to wait for the «contractor» to come out and fix. Still waiting for our $ 250.00 reimbursement off our rent which now the office claims is coming from the «Contractor» once again. Last time I checked my rent check is made payable to Camden. Our fan in the Master Bedroom doesn’t work. AGAIN still waiting for it to get fixed. Light in our brand new stove is out AGAIN. waiting for the new Screen on our patio door. Landscaping is very nice other than having neighbors with little dogs craping everywhere and not cleaning it up. Employees need to stop passing the buck and step up their A game and take care of their tentants.

True T. is correct about the dog poop. Once management allowed all dogs to live here, the dog feces left on the grass increased exponentially. Now I have to yell at my kids to stay off the grass lest they «step in it.»

My husband and I really enjoy living here. We love the positive atmosphere and the friendly staff. They fill work orders quickly and try to keep their tenants happy. The only negative things I have to say is the water bill is terrible (it’s shared among all renters) and the hot tub has never worked since we’ve moved in. Other than that, we love it. It’s very pet and family friendly.

These are the worst apartments you could possibly walk into as the other reviews say, i’ve experienced exactly what they say. They are all true. When I got the email that my apartment was ready to move in, which meant; that same day… I went there to go look at it, and it was a disaster there was no way it would be ready for that day to move in. And even though the apartment was not ready … there was another unit that was ready with the same exact floor plan, but in order for me to move into that one I would have to pay 200 more dollars each month!!! What a rip off! I am so glad I seen the apartment before I signed the lease. One of the girls which I won’t say her name is very rude and very unprofessional I believe she is the new manager. They will tell you about anything to get you to sign your lease. This place is overpriced and has nothing to offer you really. I do not recommend this place to anyone, please save your money there are other options out there which are 10 times nicer and can offer you twice or three times more then what they can for the price you will pay.

I hate to speak ill but I honestly believe this apartment complex cares more about the landscaping than it’s tenants. Everyday except Sunday you will have the loud annoying noise of the leaf blower, lawnmower, and some guy pushing a trash can. OH my gosh this goes on from 7am to at least 5pm every freakin day! The landscaping is nice but hard to enjoy with no sidewalks. Plus the many many bushes obstruct your view when driving and you have random children who use the the parking lot as a playground. The children here are so ill mannered loud and obnoxious. I do not allow my child to associate with the children here. The only good thing about this complex is the maintenance crew and they are contracted… I absolutely despise this place. Its LOUD due to children and landscaping ²⁴⁄₇. I plan on moving asap. Plus the apartments are outdated and they are just now trying to upgrade… Sad Sad! Plus these apartments are overpriced!!! DON’T MOVE HERE!!!

This place has gone to the dogs… and kids! First, Camden Summit allows ALL dogs. They claim there are breed restrictions (the only dog listed by name is the Pit Bull Terrier), but as long as they can get a lease on an apartment, they will let ANY dog live here; regardless of size or «aggressive behavior». I know for a fact, that there are at least three Pit Bull Terriers on this property. The office says that if residents do not tell them, how the office could know; or the resident could just say that the dog is a different breed (no one would ever know), the staff are not AKC judges.
Next, most of the dog owners are horrible! They leave their dogs on the patio/​balcony ALL DAY (and some nights) and allow them to bark constantly. Tenants rarely pick up after their dogs; it may be because the property does not stock pet waste bags regularly, or just because they are LAZY. The property does have a groundskeeper, but it seems he only works part-​time; there is no way one person can clean up after hundreds of dogs defecating multiple times a day. Because of this, there is dog waste EVERYWHERE. Also, many dog owners let their dogs out OFF A LEASH! It is Nevada state law that all dogs must remain on a leash and under control. It is not uncommon to see a Rottweiler, Pit Bull, or a German Shepard roaming around without an owner in site. I assume it will take a child getting MAULED before Camden Summit will enforce the rules. It will be great when the official word from Camden Summit will be, ‘we had no idea this was going on, we would have done everything in our power to stop the offenders before an accident like this could happen.’ All the staff sees it, I have brought it to their attention; but they are terrified of confrontation, so they never say anything; COWARDS!
Also, the kids in this neighborhood are OUT OF CONTROL. The parents are either not home or they simply do not care where their children are or what they are doing. They are like roaming packs of hoodlums. Always yelling, screaming, cursing, throwing rocks at buildings, cars, dogs, and people; breaking trees, bushes, and fences; constantly biking, skating, scooting in front of cars (assuming drivers can stop in time). Again, it will only be AFTER a child is hit, will the parents and the property be concerned.
This USED to be a nice place, but it has gone WAY downhill in the past six months; these HORRIBLE tenants have run off all the old staff. Not ONE person who works here now was here just a year ago. And the new manager and staff is either INCOMPETENT or simply do not care how bad this neighborhood has become. At this point, I will NOT renew my lease; and you should LOOK ELSEWHERE to live (if you value your sanity).

I love living here. The convenience of everything is wonderful, it’s right next to the school, supermart, and the park. I love walking and the there is a long walking path right behind the community that is easy to get to. The office staff is wonderful and is easy to get a hold of, which is very appreciated. Most important is that when there is any issues, they are very attentive and everything is taken care of immediately.

There is one main water bill for Camden Summit, then the water bill is divided up among residents. Bottom-​line ALL water cost are passed onto the renters! NO MATTER WHAT… $$$$$
