History
Established in 1972.
We have a long history in Henderson and Las Vegas. Cox and Gallacher Martial Arts was founded in 1972 by Ken Gallacher (9th degree black belt under Chuck Norris, and president of Chun Kuk Do) who was one of the first Chuck Norris black belts in Las Vegas. Ken then started his own studio in 1975 and moved his studio to Henderson, Nv. His Daughter Tara Cox (7th degree black belt) then took over the studio in 1995 and has been running the studio ever since. In 2010 Tara’s brother and Ken’s son Kenny who is also a 2nd degree black belt and a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu joined the studio to take over instruction of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program. At that time they moved into a commercial location and in 2014 moved into the location of the Albertson’s plaza. We pride ourselves on being a family run and operated business and long time standing members of the Henderson community. We invite you to come check out our family.
