DJ’s Daycare Center

My wife’s biggest fears were realized about dropping off our infant daughter at daycare before her first week of going back to work was over. The SECOND day we dropped her off was a practice run for us. My wife picked her up after 5 hours. She didn’t realize anything was wrong until she changed her at home. She had her same diaper on that we dropped her off in. We know this because we gave them honest company diapers with the crazy prints. She wears target diapers otherwise. The owner did watch the tape and wrote up the staff. On Friday my wife got off work early and was stunned to see only one staff member in a room full of infants!!! She stayed several minutes to see if the other person came in. They used the same nipples on her bottles. They mixed her breastmilk together. She called the owner. She was very apologetic at first, but became very rude as my wife was describing the horrible experience. We went back later to pull our daughter out. Blanca was very understanding. I could see the owner in the back when we first came in and she disappeared. I understand that when you first sign up it says all money is not refundable. We paid 3 weeks out. You think after what happened they would be understanding and refund at least the extra week we paid. NOPE! As far as I see it they stole our money because they did not hold up to their end of the deal. We will be contacting the relevant authorities to notify them of our experience. They violated health and safety codes.

I have had my two and a half year old at DJ’s since he was about 3 months. We love the staff, the nurturing environment, and how we as parents are always kept informed about what happens there. We have had no issues with staff turnover or unclean, unsafe environment. I recommend DJ’s to anyone looking for high-​quality, not over-​priced preschool/​daycare. Keep up the good work!

We’ve had our 4 yr old son Josiah with DJs since he was born and we honestly couldn’t say enough. We were so nervous putting him in daycare but we rolled the dice and hit the jackpot. This is one place that actually cares about taking care of and teaching children. My son holds doors for girls, says sir/ma’am and best of all is held accountable. The teachers don’t come running to parents to solve problems like some daycares, they hold him accountable. Plus anytime we’ve had issues we deal with the owners and not some manager. This is a family run business that set the foundation of education. My son started learning to count and ABCs a year earlier than expected. They make the entire daycare say the pledge everyday. Each week we get a progress report and he loves telling us about his day. Anytime there are issues we get a report summarizing what happened. We had our older daughter attend their summer camp and she loved it as well. Bottom line we are going to enroll him in their kindergarten next. Well worth the trust and money!!!
