My family and I have been going to Dr. Erika Duggan for 4 visits which makes out to a year now. This review is for my last visit Jan 14 2016 for myself where I had to pull the plug and find another Optometrist who took the time to explain things and didn’t over examine me or charge me out of pocket costs for things I didn’t need even if my insurance gave it to me at $ 0.00 but Dr. Duggan added it on my order just to get paid for it on the back end i.e. transition lenses. My total bill including eye exam with very good insurance came to $ 758.50 (w/​o insurance costs were $ 1,300). Towards the end, she told me she was God and that she is always right and even told her staff that as we were walking out. Her front office staff is a joke but yet Dr. Duggan keeps them around maybe because it’s hard to find cheap help? Sandra (long black hair, fake nails and glasses) can’t keep her mouth shut or opinions to herself and always seems bothered if you ask her a question. it’s best if you don’t ask her anything EVER! And the new girl (name escapes me but has a nose piercing; distasteful) rather be short with you and talk about you while your present in the waiting room than to be quiet and keep her opinions to herself. Both girls have been talked to but still these situations keep happening. Terrible experience overall. I will continue to deter friends and family from this business and spread the word to stay away from this doctor and her money hungry ways.

Thanks to a great review from a Unilocal Friend on this business page, I was inspired to schedule an appointment with this optometry office.
Sara (receptionist) was very friendly scheduling an appointment for my son and I to get an eye exam. On the day of the exam, I was not feeling well and thought it would be in the best interest of health not to get too close to the eye doctor, so my son got his exam and not me.
Dr. Vi was very energetic, friendly, offered good listening skills and provided a detailed exam with my son. Following this exam, we went over to the retail area and immediately greeted by Debbie who has been working with people and their eye glass needs for many years. She made some great suggestions for my son and he chose a pair of frames that he loves to wear and can actually see better in class.
10 days later on Friday the 13^th I came back feeling healthy and a different Sara (from Canada) had me undergo several eye exam tests with high tech equipment in lieu of getting my eyes dilated. Very impressive optical machinery that checks peripheral vision, glaucoma, and overall health of the eyes. Sara was very friendly and patient with me and I consider her an asset to the Envision Eyecare team.
I then went into the exam room to find the very energetic and friendly Dr. Vi. She is awesome! I rarely enjoy going to any doctor, but she was really genuine and knows her stuff and would highly recommend her for anybody needing an eye exam. She makes the experience fun and I left the exam room feeling educated about my eye health.
Debbie was there waiting for me in the retail area to select a pair of frames with my new prescription. I guess I am vain or a snob or just difficult as I found nothing of interest. Debbie was very honest with me and told me if they are «just ok» I probably will not wearing them often and I should go elsewhere to look at frames and that I can always come back. This type of comment from somebody in sales shows me they are sincere and caring and not out for their self interests of a sales quota, etc.
This office is very clean and has a large waiting room, including a kids area to play in the corner. A flat screen TV in the large waiting room showing «The Price Is Right» was a bit entertaining and nostalgic at the same time. All of the staff were very friendly and my insurance and payments were processed professionally. I highly recommend Envision Eyecare and look forward to my son and I seeing Sara and Dr. Vi in a year for our next exam.

Unilocal 300 CHALLENGE 2015: #266

I can see clearly now and its gonna be a bright, bright sunny Unilocal review for Dr. Duggan!
My family and I have been seeing another eye doctor for some time and have been very, very happy. In fact, in the past few months, we saw our normal doctor and were very happy then too. Nothing could go wrong at all. Until I met Dr. Duggan.
My son just went back to school and noticed he had issues with vision. He wanted an appointment and our current optometrist was booked and the earliest appointment was 7 days later.
This was an issue on two levels
a. I have a very busy schedule and was trying to make things fit.
b. My son was wanting an appointment asap to improve things.
So, I secured an appointment with my Dr. and then went searching on Unilocal for an alternative. I saw the reviews on Dr. Duggan and here is my comments.
a. I asked for an online appointment at about 7:30 am.
b, I noticed they were not open for another 30 minutes and so I started to make some business calls. The stock markets were coming down hard during this time and I was getting plenty of calls.
c. At about 8:00 I got two calls that I could not answer and then a few minutes later, I got an email for an appointment at 3;40 pm, right after school and perfect.
d. The two calls were from the Dr’s office to confirm times and when they could not reach me, they emailed to me. I was able to email back while on my phone call and we were set.
e. This was timely as getting ahold of my son at school is tough due to restricted use of cells at school. I caught him in time so he could set his afternoon schedule and be ready!
f. Visiting the office, it is very comfortable, spacious, plenty of seating and just right. The two receptionists were attentive and had gotten all our details all ready and quickly.
g. Sarah, the technician was amazing. She quickly got my son in every analysis, explained everything, and then again to me as i was confused. We took a ton of test and she went over any options which we gladly took.
h. The best part was when we got to see Dr. Duggan. Often times, I am used to being seconded or sent to the assistant or the newbie and never the main doctor. I was surprised that Dr. Duggan was our doctor and she took care of my son top notch.
i. At the glass selection area, I went to the receptionist to thank them for setting up my appointment and for doing it so quickly and accommodating my needs. They informed me that it was no problem, but they did NOT do it, Dr. Duggan checks her email and message and responds early to take care of clients!
Now I was more impressed. That is first class service and this is something I highly value.
I plan to have our entire family start using Dr. Duggan. They will be very, very happy! I am.

I had my very first eye exam here at Envision with Dr Duggan. I was extremely nervous about it only because I was not familiar with getting eye exams or optometrists. I was mostly anxious about having my pupils dilated. JOY— they have an alternative machine that takes pictures instead! With Insurance, it only cost $ 45 for that test. Believe me, I was like «Take My Money,!»
The staff is SUPER friendly. Dr. Duggan was truly nice and explained everything so well. I was grateful that she took the time to go over every test and talk to me and show me all pictures and results.
I highly recommend Envision !

The lady at the front desk (long dark hair and wears glasses), needs to take intense customer service classes. Her demeanor needs improvement. Tone of voice and choice of words are everything when it comes to proper communication. The doctor herself is five stars. The latter is one star. I only give 3 stars because of the lady at the front desk. Sorry Dr. D. Your staff is dragging you down.

Dr Duggan is everything an Optometrist should be! She’s professional, kind, considerate, punctual and even humorous! This was my third year attending her office and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks Doc, see ya next year!

So after being taken back by a technician on time– I proceeded to wait for the doctor almost an hour– sitting in the room– no one came back to check– no one came to tell me how much longer. Charges 45 dollars for retinal scan– a bit more expensive than most places. I just can’t get past the fact I waited so long just to see the eye doctor– not an OB/​GYN, not a surgeon, not an emergency room. I should have been made aware of such a long delay– and feel two hours is too long for an eye appointment.

My appt yesterday went flawlessly. Their staff was courteous, and their office was immaculate. I saw Dr. Duggan, and will definitely be going back to her. She was informative, patient (I had to bring my 5 month old daughter the appt with me), and very pleasant. When I went back to their office that same night (for my husband’s appt), she still answered MY questions that I had forgotten to ask earlier. I was given samples of everything I wanted to try. Great customer service overall!
My one minor complaint is their glasses selection. I know that private offices generally don’t have a great selection on budget-​friendly frames (I really didn’t want to pay out of pocket for my frames), but I couldn’t find a pair that stayed under my insurance allowance. This wasn’t enough to take away any stars, though!

Erika Duggan, OD is amazing! She is so friendly and knows her stuff. Living in Las Vegas your eyes can get so messed up from the heat and dryness and she is always so helpful. I never have any problems getting emergency appointment, and never have any issues making a regular appointment. Her pricing is very fair and some things my insurance won’t cover but the prices for those things are so fair priced! She is very high tech too, You can get your account information and be able to login to a website to see your past visits and other useful information.
I wish Erika was a regular doctor because if she was a MD I would go to her. She also makes you feel safe and has a great attitude.
The office staff have always been super friendly and helpful!

I have been going to Dr. Duggan for years. She is a great doctor with a friendly staff. Never a long wait and always take great care of my whole family.

Dr. Duggan is always kind, pleasant, professional and thorough. She genuinely cares about her patients. Can’t go wrong with placing your eye care in her hands.

I was able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly and didn’t have a long wait to see the doctor once I was in the office. I had outdated prescriptions for both glasses and contacts and was able to take care of both in one visit. I felt like my happiness with the product and my vision was the priority, which was wonderful. I feel confident in putting the health of my eyes in Dr. Duggan’s hands and would highly recommend.

Dr Duggan and her staff were very friendly, professional and responsive. Dr Duggan answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns about previous care.

I have been going to Dr. Duggan for a few years and would highly recommend her. Sandra who fitted me for my glasses made me feel so comfortable knowing I wasn’t thrilled about wearing glasses in the first place but always takes such good care of my family. Thank you Dr. Duggan your awesome.

I highly do no recommend this place. I am sure the doctor is great but the prices were out of control. I was quoted close to $ 500 for a new set of lenses on one pair of glasses. She made up some bogus remark that the mounting position made it more expensive. I went down the street to Las Vegas Optometry Care and paid $ 475 for the same lenses and a brand new pair of sunglasses with prescription. Erika definitely had a better selection but the price was ridiculous.

Took a chance and went to Dr. Duggan because my previous optometrist left the area, and I found a $ 25-​off coupon on Unilocal.
I can’t offer kudos to the receptionist, but then, it was lunchtime and quite crowded, and she may just have been having a rough day.
But Dr. Duggan was very nice and very attentive, as was the technician who handled my preliminary test (s) (the one where you follow the neon dot, the one where they blow a puff of air into your eye, etc.).
Another thing I liked was the fact that they didn’t keep pushing me to buy my lenses from them. I’m not really comfortable explaining each time I visit an optometrist that the prices are so much more reasonable at Costco, but it seems I always wind up having to give the same explanation. This was a much welcomed exception.
I can definitely see returning here for next year’s eye exam.

We’ve been coming here for years. We actually moved to the Summerlin area and tried a new eye doctor in the area but ended up back here. Worth the drive. The staff is very nice and we like Dr Duggan very much.

Dr. Siems and staff are amazing. They are so caring and have a great understanding of what is best for your eyes. I am one week out from my LASIK eye surgery and I CAN SEE! No pain, no complications, no problems. Go ahead, shop around town. I did. I promise that this office and especially Dr. Siems won’t let you down.

When someone calls a practice to get information, the 2^nd question out of their mouth that skips your original question should not be: And who is your insurance company? And when you ask if they have any appointments for the same day the receptionist should not laugh like a hyena and then put you on hold. And the appointment desk lady when she picks up should not laugh when you ask about evening and weekend appointments. Psst, look out your window. See those tall buildings over there? That’s the famous Las Vegas Strip! And it’s not open 10 to 5 M-​F, it’s 24×7. I donh’t expect an optometrist to be open 24×7, but no occasional evening or even Saturday appointments reflects a closed minded way of doing business that I can do without. There’s a nice and respectful way to say No, we don’t offer those hours or services that won’t get you a one star review. Or you could choose to act like this practice did… and as a result now I’m choosing to share my experience in hopes others won’t have to put up with the same thing.
Just in case the practice does read my review: Appointment call, 11÷11÷13, 10:28 am. Yeah… it’s legit.

My wife and I recently visited Dr. Duggan for our annual checkup, after being unhappy with the Dr. we visited a year ago. The office is quite pleasant. Dr. Duggan is very nice and personable, and seems to really care about the patient. She seems willing to take the time to address the patient’s needs, not just try to get them in and out.
Further, she determined that the prescriptions we received a year ago were completely inappropriate. My wife’s new glasses are working much, much better for her. While I had started needing reading glasses with last year’s prescription, with the correct prescription from Dr. Duggan, I no longer need reading glasses for most things. I am seeing better. It was not just a matter of our eyes changing as the previous prescriptions were too strong, not too weak.
We will be continuing to go to Dr. Duggan for our eye needs.
