Worst customer service ever. Got referred to them and they said they can’t take my son because it is his foot not his ankle.

I’ve had pain in my ankles for over 18yrs and no one could tell me what is wrong. I moved to Vegas and met Dr. H. Chan, he is the bomb diggity. He has great bedside manner, takes his time out to explain everything to you from start to finish. He gave me numerous options and I was ready to make moves. Elated to know the problem. He wasn’t sure if my pain would go away but it definitely helped. Thanks Dr. Chan. I still have my days with pain but hey at least I know what’s the problem. And my life goes on.

Went here due to an issue with my shoulder. Ended up with Dr. Baker & I cannot express how much gratitude I have for him & his staff. My surgery went very well, Baker made sure I was comfortable & didn’t force me into having an unwanted surgery. He explained all options I had to choose from before I made an educated decision. His staff is very friendly & warm. They do not treat you like a # or a burden. The office is also very nice. It is not cramped, they have an amazing saltwater tank to look at as well as a nice view of a lake. I really cannot complain at all. Thank you Dr. Baker! I look forward to having full range of motion in my shoulder again. WITHOUT the pain!

I waited almost five months for them to look at my knee .when I arrived for my appointment there was a line, so I waited patiently .when I finally gave the person at the desk my information I was told I I was late for my appointment and would have to be rescheduled, the next appointment was six months away. first, I arrived well before the fifteen minutes requested by them before the actually appointment. second, i did not appreciate the comment on my cheap government insurance… it’s not my fault I was forced on it… after reading some of the other horrible reviews I am quite happy I am not one of their patients.

It is the absolute worst medical facility I have ever encountered,. You can not get through on the phone to speak to a human being. The Drs. are arrogant and rude. They are incompetent. They do not do their job. If you care about your health and well being, you should take your business else where.

I have only positive things to say about this place. As a 1^st time patient I filled out all my paperwork online, as well as st up my appointment. Everyone was super friendly on the phone and at the office. Dr. Baker was very nice, friendly and helpful. From my check in, X-​rays and exam I was in and out in 45 minutes. I went on a Monday, and was told other days are more busy but today was outstanding!

If you are trying to call good luck ! They cancelled on me days before my appointment after I had waited 4 months to see the doctor. Saying they had just stopped talking my insurance. Very disappointed with them

I never made it here… I went to their online site, requested an appointment, to which they stared they are very fast with response times. Twenty four hours passed, I heard nothing, 48 hours passed, still nothing. I finally got a call the woman left a message stating «if you still need us» well no I don’t because I was able to set up an appointment elsewhere. I could have called to set up my appointment, but this is kinda my own little test, and they failed.

It’s still terrible. My doctor is so mean, he doesn’t have a heart. He pawned me off on his assistant because I can’t afford an MRI he basically told me I was a joke because I could afford this MRI. I’d like to know what doctor did before MRI’s? Did they turn patients away like they do now?

I avoided seeing a doctor because I didn’t want surgery. Dr Kastrup did my hip surgery and all I can say is good things about him. He prepared me for what to expect, the surgery was easier than I was expecting and I was amazed at my progress. The office always seems busy but I blame that on them being good at what they do and the state of our overburdened healthcare system. My wife has seen Dr Song for several different problems, most recently a fractured humerus and while paperwork seems to lag behind, treatment doesn’t.

5 stars for the Henderson location. Facts: My son’s insurance is HPN and the only HMO pediatric orthopedic doctor they will refer is Dr. Thomas. I did not want to take my son to Nevada Ortho & Spine due to all the bad reviews. Today, I have to admit the facility, the nursing staff, the reception staff, the intake nurse… everyone was amazing. Furthermore, the location is absolutely gorgeous. Dr. Thomas was attentive, thorough, and was crystal clear on what treatment my son needed.
Only negative (but doesn’t impact the treatment) is everyone is absolutely correct about the appointment scheduling personnel. I would re vamp that area. Crystal was helpful. Brenda was rude and could care less about any questions you may have regarding the appointment.

I chose this location because Dr Chan performs surgery at SVH and does fantastic work from what I heard from his patients that I recovered. I was in a one vehicle roll over and ejection from suv. Dr chan had informed me at the first appointments that depending on the results of MRI I may have to be treated by an associate of his. My first appointment was at 710 am perfect time. The wait was about twenty min in lobby not bad I think I had an insurance issue bc my card for the new year hadn’t arrived and they had to verify coverage over the phone. Once I got to the exam room a tech escorted me to the xray room for xrays and brought me back to exam room. Dr chan entered the room shortly after and was irritated that umc never did mri on my knee and shoulder. I explained to him I have one scheduled at the end of month. dr chan then had his secretary call Steinberg and they were able to perform MRI the same day. kudos to Dr chan! I was scheduled to come back the following week ti get results.
next week arrived and I was given the news that I have a torn acl, lcl, and mcl in my knee as well as a really bad torn labrum. Bad news was that my care was being transferred to dr. bradley baker bc it was his area of expertise. so I was sent a feww doors down to talk to dr Baker about results. Dr baker was tall, handsome and easy on the eyes if I may say so lol! He reviewed my Mri in the room with me and explained in detail his plan for my knee and shoulder. At this time no knee sx but PT for 4 – 6 weeks and a different knee brace and we will evaluate later. My shoulder on the other hand was a bad tear of the labrum. and therapy wasn’t going to get it surgery was the only solution, my shoulder had been dislocated at some point in the crash. He explained recovery and how that will be the toughest part. He sent shauwna his scheduler in to review therapy referrals and schedule surgery date.
Long story short. I had no problems with the staff or the wait time. My last appointment was at 3 pm I was sure I was going to be waiting forever but just 5 minutes. I’ll update after my surgery in February!

This place is a joke. You have to wait like 20mins to even get someone to answer the phone. Then when you finally speak with someone they’re short and then make you leave a message with another persons voicemail before you can even make an appointment if they even call you back. The Drs there (seen 2 different ones Hillock and Nevins) are jerks and have God complex’s yet have no up-​to date training to advise you how to get better. They’re just ready to cut you open and bill insurance. So when you start asking informed questions they get attitudes with you. Fortunate I got new insurance and don’t have to deal with these horrible people. Run don’t walk away as fast as you can.

First visit wait time was over two hours for Dr Bradley. Second visit was less than 20 minute wait time. I’m guessing it depends on the staff working that day. Other than the excessive wait time, I do recommend this office for orthopedic and spinal procedures.

Doctor John Kastrup is a corrupt and unethical hypocrite and a violator of the very Hippocratic Oath he has taken. In the 1960s, the Hippocratic Oath was changed to «utmost respect for human life from its beginning», also known as «Declaration of Geneva» making it a more secular concept, not to be taken in the presence of God, but before people. Doctor John Kastrup does not adhere to or is one of the 2% out of 98% of American medical students whom swear to some form of oath.
1^st Doctor John Kastrup disregarded his oath to «Accountability» and I blame Doctor John Kastrup for my continued pain, suffering and disability I continue to agonize form today.
2^nd Doctor John Kastrup disregarded his oath to «Covenant with Patients», this is the physician’s pledge to use their best ability and judgment. Doctor John Kastrup not only did not treat me but refused to confirm injury so I might continue to work but under some restrictions to avoid further injury. His staff was supposed to counsel me in treatment exercises but instead shuffled me out the door without any council.
3^rd Doctor John Kastrup disregarded his oath to «Justice», where the the physician is swearing that they will avoid any voluntary act of impropriety or corruption. While I was being led to the x-​ray room a nurse came up to Doctor John Kastrup and advised him that he should read a special note on my patient referral. When I returned from the x-​ray Doctor John Kastrup was very abrupt, hurried and denied replying to any of my questions or request. It was plan to see that Doctor John Kastrup was discerningly selective regarding what service he selected to provide for me discriminating against the type of insurance I had.
4^th Doctor John Kastrup disregarded his oath of «Appropriate Ends», that a doctor is to do what is best for the patient, rather than what is best for the physician. This tail-​ends on Doctor John Kastrup disregarded his oath to «Justice», where he sent me out of his office suffering and unable to find gainful employment within the scope of restrictions because of my injury.
I blame Doctor John Kastrup and The Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center located at 1505 Wigwam Parkway, Suite #330 in Henderson Nevada for my continued pain, suffering and disability I continue to agonize form today. I blame Doctor John Kastrup and The Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center are nothing more than a rotating «Five N Dime» center dedicated to sucking up money and denying any ethics to medical oath they swore.

Recently I had to have surgery on both ulnas, shortening them and fusing the bones back together with metal plates. Dr Song did an amazing job on both surgeries within 6 months of each other. Healing has gone perfect and all of the pain I had from before the surgeries is completely gone. I was originally hesitant to have them performed, unsure if the end result would be worth the procedure based on results read from the web by others afflicted with the same condition across the US. Now I have full use of both wrists. Plates had to be inserted within a 4 inch incision, the cuts are strait and healing with minimal scarring.

My review is based on a few things, I would rate the doctors 5 stars, great bedside manner, good with kids and always diagnosing the problems correctly. The wait times is a zero star, they need to figure out a better system to keep the wait times in check. Scheduling staff is a 2 star, they are too rushed and forget to get all the information and come off a little short. Hopefully the doctors can work out the admin stuff and improve the overall experience.

Do Thomas and his staff were very professional and took great care in our sons broken wrist /​growth plate. Thank you for all your help!

I broke my right arm while snowboarding a couple days before Christmas in 2012. Due to how high up the break was, the doctor I originally saw was unable to put my arm in a cast, so I was referred to Dr Baker at the Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center.
The facility at NO&SC is very nice, I love the large window in the waiting room overlooking the pond. The lady working the front desk the day of my first appointment, not quite as nice. Due to the fact that I am right handed, it was extremely difficult to complete the required paperwork, but thankfully my husband was able to go to the appointment with me and help with it. The woman asking questions and giving us forms to fill out showed absolutely zero compassion for the difficulty I was having when it came time to sign the papers, she was more interested in telling her coworkers what they should be doing. I’ve been treated with more kindness by the cashier at a gas station then I was by the NO&SC front desk lady.
On my follow up visit, there was a different woman at the front desk that was very nice and helpful. Complete opposite of what I experienced on the first visit, which is a shame, as I was actually in pain during the first visit!
Thankfully, every other person I dealt with at NO&SC was absolutely fantastic. From Patty, the doctor’s assistant to the x-​ray technician to the surgeon himself. The office was clearly busy due to the holidays (Patty also mention there had been a lot of snowboarding injuries that week) but I didn’t feel like Dr. Baker rushed through the visit.
The one thing that bothers me about NO&SC is the excessive wait times in the exam room. On both visits, almost an hour had passed from the time of my appointment before I actually saw the doctor. I’d like to assume the reason for that is because Dr. Baker takes time to ensure his patients have all of their questions answered but it can still be a bit of an annoyance to have to wait around for an hour to be seen.

I am in a ton of pain and needed to see a back doctor.
Imagine my surprise when this practice said they wouldn’t see me because I am paying cash.
I was told that they ONLY see patients with insurance coverage.
I guess it’s easier to milk an insurance company than a cash paying patient.
