Been here before for service, I thought it was overpriced. Second time around, took the car there for checking a code, we told them what the code was and that seem to confuse the hell out of them the next day. The owner can’t see eye to eye with customers, he is a con artist wanted to charge $$$ for something they didn’t do. Bad communication amongst the staff caused me to repeat myself to three different people. Dropped the car early, they didn’t get to it until I called and told them that I needed to pick up my girlfriend at work, they started to look at the car right before I got there in order for him to justify a payment. Don’t waste your time arguing with the old man because he’ll nickel and dime you to death. Worse experience ever.

I had my front sturts replaced here over a year ago and I noticed a squeaking noise coming from what I assumed was the struts. I brought it in and they fixed it up in no time and didn’t charge me anything for it. As a matter of fact, they were thankful that I grought it back in… I was impressed, I would recommend this place.

The BEST service ever! They are genuine, honest and some of the kindest people in the business. Take your vehicles here for ALL repairs and service-​you will not be disappointed!

These guys are great! I am from out of town and wanted to find a mechanic I could trust. I had my vehicle taken there after self diagnosing that it needed a new fuel pump (any where from $ 800-​$ 1,000 repair). The mechanic took a look at it and called me a bit later to tell me that it wasn’t that at all and it only needed about $ 200 worth of work. So glad I found a good mechanic. I would, without question, recommend Newby’s Automotive to a friend. I also appreciated the cute dog in the waiting room. Definitely kept my 1 year old entertained!

I get that this is a family run business but come on, show some professionalism. I had been here on three previous occasions and put up with Julie, the woman at the front desk because she’s not the one working on my car. Everytime I’ve gone though, she’s either chatting on the phone, putting on makeup, or telling some poor kid to go get food for her. On one visit, it took a couple minutes for her to acknowledge me because she was busy chatting it up with another customer who was heading out the door.
For my most recent car need, I dropped off the car the night before and didn’t hear anything for a good part of the next day. I thought it was weird so I called, Julie starts talking to me about a car that didn’t even belong to me. Come one lady, get your head on straight. She finally pinpoints the right car and tells me the mechanic didn’t find hear the noise I was talking about so they didn’t do any work on it. Okay… So my car would have just kept sitting in the shop had I not followed up. I go to the shop, take a drive with one of the mechanics and point out the noise to him. He tells me the problem and asks Julie to give me a phone. She says she’s too busy (with what, I don’t know) and asks her dad to give me a quote. He quotes me THREE engine mounts with work and labor coming to $ 800.
I went home to think about it and call the next day to ask if they can come down a little on the price since on previous visits I’ve seen Julie give people discounts. Julie wasn’t there on my first call so I waited a couple hours and called back and she still wasn’t there. I asked for her to call me back and guess what, it’s been weeks and still haven’t heard a peep.
In the meantime, I went to RG Motorworks where they did a complete checkup free of charge and diagnosed that only ONE engine mount needed to be replaced for a fraction of what Newby’s quoted me. Even if I got all three replaced I still would have come under $ 800.
I feel the guys in the shop do good work, but I don’t put up with people who are dingbats like Julie and I don’t appreciate her dad trying to rip me off.

I take my car here to get serviced and they do a great job. They are reputable and honest… hard to come by in the auto industry.

This has become my place to go for car repairs. They are honest, friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to do business with. Will be going back for any and all repairs on my vehicles.

I always dread going to an automotive repair shop as I expect the worst. Newby’s was recommended by a friend of a friend. We were hesitant but desperate to get our car fixed. We are very happy. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional from when we first called them on the phone… to dropping the car off… to picking it up. They were honest and didn’t try to oversell us. I’m happy with the work-​out car runs great again. We’ll return here for all out car repair work.

Fantastic company! Auto places really concern me so I only go to highly referred companies which is why I decided to try this place. We’ve been super lucky not to have a lot of car issues, but recently my husbands alternator went out so we brought it here. They provided great service, was inexpensive for the specific fix and got the repair done quickly. We have definitely found the auto repair shop for us and will continue to use them… but hopefully not too much, ha!

With utmost professionalism, family orientation, honesty, and prices second to none, Newby’s Automotive is the place to go, when you know nothing about cars except for occasionally filling up your tank when your dashboard begins to annoyingly flash. When someone does not have a clue as to why the yellow, red or green light is sporadically blinking, one should call upon Newby’s to clarify why the light is blinking, what needs to be done to shut the annoying light off, and a most importantly, an honest price required to fix it. Upon entering Newby’s, to drop your car off, who some consider their car as a child, one is greeted by Julie. Julie is an supreme professional with an absolute warm approach to make one feel at home, as she begins to lay out a plan for making your life as easy and painless as possible. However, Julie may be out picking up parts, at times, for vehicles, as Newby’s can become extremely busy, and Julie does not take her promised finishing times, in support of vehicle completion, for granted. Do not fret, everyone I have personally encountered at Newby’s has the same welcoming, honest approach, as you may be welcomed by another employee. It may sound one-​sided, referring to the welcoming committee, at the front desk, but I have not had the opportunity to meet many more of the Newby’s employees or mechanics, but am sure they are second to none, because I have NEVER had to go back a second time for the same thing. I would be remiss and delinquent if I did not share my feelings in this forum, and help someone else make the absolute difficult decision of picking a place to fix your car. Thank you. It will cost more if one goes somewhere else other than Newby’s

Honest, ethical, straight forward, fair and they know automotive repairs. I’ve brought my 1988 Jeep, 1971 Ford Bronco and 2003 Ford Explorer. Refreshing to have a auto shop that is family owed and operate that I can trust. In Henderson, of course!!!

This is the place to go. We relocated to Henderson/​Las Vegas recently. One of the things I was NOT looking forward to was finding a good mechanic I could start using. Well, I found it! Julie is amazing! I have to admit that most great mechanics I’ve used had pretty sub par customer service. She makes it her job to make sure you have a great experience. The mechanics are great and don’t look at you like your an idiot when you have questions. Very friendly. I do like that they are family owned and operated.
I highly recommend!!!

Newby’s Automotive is a First Class Business. We had two vehicles that weren’t running and they fixed both of them and got us back on the road in no time. Love love love these guys! Front of the house is accommodating and most importantly fair. Honest and fair is how I choose to describe them. Worked on both of my cars and if I have any issues in the future I’m coming back!

I have been using Newby’s since 2005. They have always been honest and straightforward with me. They do not try to jack up their prices or get you to do any additional work. They do keep a record of your car and they do let you know what work may be needed in the future– but no high pressure tactics to make you do it at that moment. I will take my car to them for future work and I recommend them to all my friends. A really honest and reliable car repair shop!

Newby’s performed a vehicle inspection on my used car. I was so impressed with their service I thought I would write a review. They were swamped with customers but fit me in for a quick inspection. The high temperature this day was around 120 degrees due to a heat wave. There was no room to sit inside so I waited outside. Julie, the customer service rep, bought me a diet coke from the vending machine. Everyone was nice and courteous. James, the technician, went through the inspection, point by point, with me. Elvis, their furry mascot, was a friendly door greeter. Family-​owned business. Long-​time Henderson/​Vegas residents. I was very impressed and will go back for other repairs.

Love this place. The very honest and reliable I’ve always been taking my vehicle here for the past 2 to 3 years for oil changes and repairs. I’ll recommend this to anybody. Nice little family business

These guys were polite & got my van power window fixed in one business day. Im pleased. Plus its a woman owned local biz, which i prefer to patronize whenever possible. I will use these folks again, and when i do, you can count on me to
