Established in 2012.

Reptiles N Reefs opened its doors on January 1st, 2012. It is a specialty saltwater fish and reptile store with a large selection of supplies and feeders to go along with it. Many changes have been made to the store in 2015 since under new ownership and it’s looking better than ever!

We bought Reptiles N Reefs in November 2014 and really put our heart and souls into making this a wonderful place to shop again. We made numerous changes to the existing store since then, including expansion of the reptile habitats as well as brought back saltwater fish and added freshwater fish and small animals. We decided to buy the store because we’ve always had a huge love for animals, especially reptiles, and wanted to do something together that we truly love. We always strive to give the best customer service because we feel like it’s important to treat people in the same way in which we would like to be treated. We love what we do and feel blessed to own a small, family operated business!

Thank you so much, the team at Reptiles and Reefs went above and beyond, I first went in a week ago needing questions answered as my boys wanted a snake. The staff went over all of the options with us and showed us the best temperate snakes and options. Coming from New Zealand we were a bit worried as there is not a single snake in New Zealand.
Well after a week of deliberating we went back and purchased a King Snake but before we did we had more questions and they took the time and walked us through it.
I am so happy that I went to Reptiles and Reefs they are honest, knowledgeable, friendly and very affordable.
Thank you very much and we will be back soon for some more supplies for our new pet Sebastian the Snake.

I just moved to Henderson a few days ago, I was in a panic bc it was time to feed my ball python and I had no clue where to go! Thank goodness I found this place! I walked in the door and Al was there ready to help me with everything I needed. He grabbed all of my goodies, signed me up for the VIP program, and told me all about how he breeds ball pythons. Everyone should do business here, it is just so great!

I’m just going to start this out by saying that I am really not into reptiles at all. I have no interest in obtaining one as a pet, and snakes actually freak me out a little bit.
HOWEVER, I wandered into this store just because I had some time to kill and I was shopping at Hobby Lobby, and I was extremely impressed. The selection of pets and supplies seems to be pretty good. There are snakes, spiders, fish, and lizards from wall to wall. Everything is very clean and organized, and it doesn’t smell like there are hundreds of animals living in there. But the thing that most impressed me was the customer service I received.
The owner, Al, seriously treated everyone that walked in like a friend. Even when I told him I wasn’t really there to buy anything, he still chatted with me for a minute or two and gave me his business card even though there were several other customers in the store.
That’s smart business. Even though I may never buy anything from this store, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for any sort of exotic pet.

They were great with helping me and my son with buying his first pets, 2 gold fishies. The gentleman showed us what our «first» tank should be and did not try to sell me everything I didn’t need. I really liked that.
When you’re carrying around a 1 year old all over the store looking for a «simple» goldfish and a «nice» yet inexpensive tank, you certainly don’t need anyone breathing down your back telling you that you need this and you need that. I was in and out within 15 minutes and got everything we needed and I even went «all out» and bought a mini Sponge Bob decorative for the tank.
I was so excited that I had gotten all this for my son’s first pet and he could learn to have responsibilities by cleaning out their fish tank and making sure they were fed when he got older… Oops… either I forgot to ask or they forget to tell me… But someone forgot to get food for the fishies… Oh Crap… :)
But I’m still going back cause they are great people and it is truly a great store and I should have remembered that fish need to eat too!

The store is ALWAYS very clean & well stocked. My only complaint is their pricing is so high. As an example, they sell nile monitors for $ 74 – 79 when you can get them at other places for $ 35. Their feeder prices are decent, but I wouldn’t buy a reptile from them. I am unsure how their fish costs are since I am not into fish.
Customer service is good. The owners are very nice & helpful. They have a cool membership card you can buy into that gets you certain special incentives that others don’t get. Not sure how long the cards are good for, but the deals with that are great from I have seen.
–found out the reason for the higher pricing tonight. They ONLY buy from licensed breeders & that basically ensures your new animal is going to be healthier or «reliable» so to speak. In other words, if something happens to your animal, you can actually bring back the animal & he can get you a replacement from the breeder. It’s a peace of mind thing & I can completely respect that.
After he explained that to me tonight, it made me understand a bit better on the store side of it. So bravo to them!

I got my ball python «King» from here, he is the perfect snake, eats well, active sometimes, and hasn’t bit anyone. He just started eating a weened rat, and the owner gave me all great info for every question I’ve ever asked over the last 6 months I had king. Thank You Reptiles-​N-​Reefs for an incredible pet!

Amazing place! I have been taking my kids into reptiles n reefs for years! My son loves going in there to look at all the fish and reptiles. Everytime we have come in the staff is extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgable. They are always helping us pick out the perfect fish for jaxens fish tank! We have purchased all our fish, tank, and supplies there. They have a large selection of fish and reptiles! We 100% recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a new pet!

The state of the Betta fish was terrible, the water filthy, the Betta looked almost dead. Disgusting and this the 1st living thing you see as you walk in. If they can’t be bothered to look after the fish in their care properly, why bother.

I don’t normally write reviews and by normally I mean never. Going out of my way on this one for people who deserve it, reptiles n reefs is where I am once a week like clockwork normally for food for my 7 snakes, also had bought a Kenyan sand boa and a western hognose at one point (btw they are the only two snakes that ate for me for the first feeding). Anyway the people over at reptiles and reefs are people who actually care about exotic pet ownership which is what draws me back every time. I am greeted every time normally by name and usually have discussions about the reptile world not the standard «you paid now leave my store «you would find at some other places and it’s this kind of allure that will keep bringing me back for as long as I can.

I was looking for a red fresh water shrimp and ran into this store. I was extremely impressed with how polite and helpful the young man and lady were. I inquired in a salt water tank for a beginner and they gave me so much information. What I like is that they help you with your set up, testing water and such to make sure your tank is ready for your fish. The assortment of fish they have is very nice along with a nice variety of reptiles, frogs, and snakes. The reptiles habitats are super clean and all the fish and reptiles are very healthy and active.
I will be going back soon to purchase my salt water tank.

This place isnt bad.
Called prior asking if they had tortoises, and luckily, she had a few.
In between the hobby lobby and the ross is this shop. Its a little tucked away, so, if you drive too quickly, you will miss it.
It is a very small store. …and it is packed, wall to wall of tanks, supplies and animals.
The gal i spoke to stayed by the door at her desk, and a man helped me with the tortoise. They had a few hatchlings, and he was kind enough to pull out two at the same time so my daughter could pick which one she wanted.
They didnt have a heat pad for under the tank, but luckily, you can pay for what you need, and they will give you a call later in the week when their shipment gets in.
Like i said, it is a small store… so make sure that if you have children with you, you keep an eye on them. because bumping into something, like the rabbit cage ontop of a snake tank, is very possible.
As for the heating pad… its been a few weeks… called today (4⁄27) and asked if they had gotten them in. The gal i talked to said yes… that she had tried calling last week, and didn’t get a hold of me… yet no one left me a message.

I’ve been on a search for a unique fish & they have been so accommodating about it! they’ve gone out of their way to try to find what I’m looking for and they have been really sweet about the whole thing.
the service is great, the shop is well kept, and they’ve got some really neat animals in there!
