I hate to come back and leave a bad review. But, after going to SL Nails for more than a year I am going to have to part ways with them. I loved the service I was receiving from them. They were always friendly and the service was great. But not anymore. I have been dissatisfied with the service I received on multiple visits now, and have had to return for repairs twice, I should have returned a couple of other times but did not. On my last visit I was overcharged by the newest man they have working for them ($ 40 for gels when it is normally $ 25), and I had to go back in to have Steve fix my nails a few days later after most of my nails had broken off. Steve’s work looks great, but his rushed job was painful. He kept filing my skin because he was in such a hurry.
I miss the days when it was just Steve and Mae with Dollar running around. They got popular and have attempted to bring in some help to keep up with the new customers. But, the service has declined to the point that I am now looking for a new salon.

I look this place up on Unilocal and they had Decent reviews plus they had a 10% off. I go in and everything is great. He (not sure what his name is) does my nails and we got all the way to the point where is is polishing them. He did such a sloppy job. I ask him to fix it and clean up the polish. he flat out told me NO! Wtf, you’re gonna tell a paying customer NO? He then tells me if I wanted him to clean it up, it was gonna be an extra $ 5 for that. I told him absolutely not. I’m not gonna pay for something you should already be doing. I told him that if he’s not gonna do what I’m asking, I was going to walk out and go get my nails polished somewhere else. He then Pulls out scissors and holds it up to my hand and said he’s gonna cut all my nails off. (Are you seriously going to threaten me??) I then get up, tell him to have a good day and start toward the door. He jumps in front of me, locks the door and stands in front of the door. I tell him to get out of my way, but he refuses. I told him to just call the police, so he moves away from the door. I unlock it and he try’s to pull the door shut on me but I was able to push my way out. I ended up going to Walmart to get my nails finished.

I wish I could leave 0 stars my first gel manicure experience and I hated it I asked for black with one blue sparkle nail instead the lady doing my nails decided to do what’re she wanted I kept saying no but she did it anyway I then had 6 layers of gel on my nails all sparkle I have big globs and bumps on my nails it’s so uneven I bet someone who has no clue how to paint nails could do a better job she got it all over my skin around my nails and there’s spots in my nail that was just totally missed I don’t understand how someone could do such a bad job and think it looks great.

Mae just gave me the most AMAZEBALLS pedicure and massage I’ve EVER had! She. Is. Awesome.

My favorite nail salon. Steve & Mae are the best. They do an excellent job. I highly recommend them.

After not being greeted, I was finally acknowledged. I said I came in to get waxed (like a five-​minute eyebrow wax) and was just told that they didn’t have time for it. Why would you only have two people working on a Saturday?!

I found myself in Henderson, NV looking for a mani pedi. After reading pretty much every review on Unilocal my twin and I settled on SL, partly because of the good reviews and partly because they moved to Vegas from Elko and I love support NV business’.
Immediately upon walking in we are greeted by the most adorable fluffy white dog. This dog was nothing short of an attention whore and totally welcome in my world.
Its quite an enjoyable experience to get a pedi while you’ve got a fluff bucket in your lap.
The twin and I failed to make an appointment but they took us anyway. We actually lucked out as 4 or so more people came in after us and they were turned away. They had to do us individually but let us both soak our feet while we were waiting for the other. SO that basically meant we got to hang out in massage chairs. Uhhh, yeah! I call that a win.
Ok-​on to the actual services. The facility is clean, the polish selection is great and there was just the right amount of conversation/​interaction to allow for a relaxing afternoon.
We are sitting at a week later and my sisters Gel is still holding on like a champ. I wasn’t so wise-​skipped the Gel and I am chipping. Lesson learned!
The prices are super reasonable and the service is great. Totally recommend this place.

Got my nails done here today, Steve took great care of me and Mae did my eyebrows. Great service I’m so glad I have found a place and it’s even close to my house. However the best part for me, being that I am a dog lover is they had there little Maltese dog named Dollar. (pronounced dolla) there to meet and greet everyone that came in. she was a little sweetheart, don’t think she is there everyday. Think I just got lucky. Can’t wait to go back… prices were awesome to.

I work in construction and my nails have never cracked, broken, or fallen off. They always do an excellent job and it has been six months of consistent quality service.

Quick service, and friendly staff, they did a great job on my pink and whites! I was in and out in just under an hour and I got a full set.

Absolutely fantastic job! My feet are completely huggable! Super smooth heels and gel looks great. Friendly staff and every massaging chair has an iPad. Great location too. Definitely will be returning to SL Nails.

Wow! I’m impressed. This salon is immaculate. Great massage chairs. Beach chair has its own iPad. Mae does great work. Best pedicure ever.

OH! They have iPads to keep you entertained. At first, I was skeptical as well knowing I don’t really know who to trust with my nails. HOWEVER, it completely blew my mind. Don’t get me wrong all though it’s hard to see from the street it’s spectacular once you walk on in. The company is ran by husband and wife looking for a permanent stay. They completely rejuvenated my husbands feet and my terrible cuticles. The employees interacted with me and my sisters the entire time. Both husband and wife have extremely soft hands and they are very funny. The pricing is very affordable. I am a fan and I will sure be coming back again! One thing on the downside was the music, it threw me off because I felt as if i was in the club. Don’t get me wrong, I loved it but some others not so much.
