My name is Steven Clemence and I have been with Sun Auto Service for almost five years.

I grew up loving the automotive industry and I’ve been actively making it my career for the last 10 years. I enjoy working for Sun Auto Service because I love the family atmosphere, whether you are an employee or a customer, you are treated like family!

If money were no object I would buy my dream car, the Lamborghini Aventador. In my spare time I enjoy going bowling, a family hobby. My brother, my father, and I have all shot a flawless 300 game!

At Sun Auto Service in Henderson I will offer you a very honest evaluation of your vehicle and if repairs are necessary, I will always provide the best value for your money. It is my obligation to my customers to maintain their vehicle correctly the first time, every time.

I have been going to Sun Auto for over a year now, and have had both minor and major repairs done on my old car. I find them to be honest, fair, and reasonable in what is needed, what is recommended, and what should be considered in the future for preventative. They don’t push a lot of work that is not necessary, and communicate well. In my experience, this is rare in this industry. They even offered me a ride — I will be their customer always, and highly recommend them.

Just moved to Vegas, and found I was having troubles with my car. I looked at reviews online for something with great service, but affordable prices, and got just that!
I called a couple other places, and they were charging $ 50+ just to look at check engine light and diagnose the problem. I called Sun Auto, and they said, «bring it in, we will look at it for free» When most places say that, they don’t usually mean free once you start to explain the problem. But when I started describing what was wrong, they said «Don’t worry about it, we will look at it for no cost, just bring it in. We will check for all problems» Great!
First off, they are very friendly, all of them, and really greet you and make conversation. It’s a great atmosphere. They looked at my car for about an hour, found of what was wrong, and gave me a quote… Now I am the type of person who really wants to find the best deal, so I called a few other shops to see what they would quote for same service. Sun was very competitive, and even if there was someplace that could save me a little, there was something about Sun Auto that I felt I could trust. That I knew that they would take good care of my car, where if you have taken you’re car numerous places before, you probably understand that you can’t trust most auto shops.
I agreed to get my car done, then left while they finished working on it. They gave me a call back in under the time they quoted me, and even fixed some minor problems I was having as well free of charge. My car now runs like new again, thank you Sun Auto. They even gave me a coupon for next time. Thanks :)
As long as I am in Vegas, they will get my business, and I do recommend that all of you come check them out as well

Came here twice as referred by Carmax. Both times something ELSE became immediately wrong with my 2013 vehicle. No problems until we came here. Now after a simple oil change my vehicle is leaking oil EVERYWHERE and needs another part replaced. Ridiculous. And im out more money, but i wont be coming back here to get it fixed. Crooks!

Took my car in to have them check out some leaks. I agreed to leave it with them for a few days so they could evaluate the issues. When I went in to get the diagnosis, they were honest with me and told me that the car value was not near what it would cost to do all of the repairs. I decided to take the car home and prepare for its funeral. In a time where businesses are scrambling to make a sale, The representatives of Sun Auto Service was honest and did not try to take me for repairs that made no sense. They also did not charge me for looking over the car. I am a repeat customer and will remain a repeat customer. Thanks Sun Auto!

I purchased a branded vehicle in Utah, yes, not smart. Well, luckily I bought the warranty and was told to take it to this place. I have never encountered such professionalism from a repair location. They took it upon themselves to fight with my warranty company for an entire month until they paid 100%, which was a $ 3,000 bill. I was so lucky to have Sun Auto on my side.

Came in for an oil change, and left with them telling me I needed $ 2,000 in repairs. Thankfully I had the presence of mind to ask for a print out and had him itemize the price on each different repair. Got a second opinion, and found out that not only were they going to overcharge me, but the «total overhaul» on the power steering was total bull. I paid less than $ 750 for the repairs I actually needed and my car is running great. I won’t give these guys ANY more money!

Had my car towed here because it wouldn’t start. After they looked over the car, I was told I needed a new fuel pump for the car at a price of 2500. Not willing to pay that much. I had it taken to another shop and cost me $ 18.00 for spark plugs. Be aware of these guys because they will take full advantage of you.

I was referred to Sun Auto by Carmax. I’ve always been hesitant by going to Auto Shops because I feel I end up being cheated. This was not the case with Sun Auto.
The thing that impressed me most with this shop is the level of communication from the shop to the client. I initially had my car serviced because my car battery was dead. I had a 10am appointment and the shop gave me a call within an hour of dropping it off. I needed a new battery, but they also told me I needed new brakes and new rotters.
This shop also went above and beyond to help me out in a tight spot. There is always a high risk of paying through the nose when you have an auto shop look at your car. The person I was dealing with knew this, and did what he could to help alleviate the total cost (He ended up saving me a couple of hundred dollars).
My car runs smooth and overall I had a very pleasant experience. I will for sure return for any further issues with my car.
Finally, the person whom I worked with was Dustin. He was very pleasant to work with and easy to talk to about figuring out what needed to be done.

Jerry is the best! I’ve been taking my car to him for two years now. When I first bought it, it had an oil and antifreeze leak. He repaired it and I haven’t had any problems since. My AC broke earlier this summer and he fixed that too. Now I take it to him for maintenance. I would recommend him to my friends and family.

I’m SO grateful to the guys that work here! I called in for a price quote for replacing my rear tail and brake lights and the gentleman on the phone was very kind and helpful and told me that they would actually be able to replace my lights free of charge! I couldn’t believe it because I had called another local auto repair shop and they quoted me $ 70 for the same service! Unbelievable. So I went in to Sun Auto and they finished replacing the lights in a matter of minutes. Excellent service!!! Thank you! :D

I have been taking my cars in here for awhile. Ihave never had an issue with these people or there service. Had my spark plugs changed in my 06 Expedition, had my own spark plugs from when i was going to do it myself untill i found out what was involved. People hhow have this engine know what i am talking about. No plugs broke and all they charged me was $ 260 for laber and it took them 2 ½hours to do it, cant beat that with a stick. I will always be back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have brought many cars here for repair and I am always impressed when I interact with the staff and managers. There has never been a place for auto repair that is this honest and will help their customers understand the repairs being made. Furthermore, they help to get you in and out quickly.

Update:
After the thrashing they received on here from me, they called and offered to pay for the i-​phone charger «if it helped». I took them the receipt for a new charger that I bought and they paid it in full. This should have been handled differently and more professionally. I am not mad that my charger was missing, I was upset of the way Sun Auto handled the situation and expected me to just go away. Customer service should not be a thing of the past.

We had a pretty good experience here– about as good as you can expect when you know you’ll be doling out a big chunk of change after your car’s starter stops starting (now that’s just fun to say) and you end up stranded for an hour, waiting for a tow truck from your insurance roadside assistance… Uh… Anyway…
My husband called ahead and explained what was going on, and when I walked in, I was greeted promptly by name. They were on top of things. I left my car and they had it fixed up within a few hours. They told my husband after it was fixed that they had tested the starter 50 times, just to make sure that it was working well, because they didn’t want me to end up back in the shop again in a couple weeks because it was malfunctioning.
It was a pricey deal, but that, to me, is kind of a given with car repairs. Labor is just pretty pricey. We might have been able to find someone cheaper, but the customer service was excellent. We were referred here by a friend and we’re feeling pretty good about the experience. Although I really hope we won’t need to go back any time soon. :)

I did my research, read the reviews and used my discretion.
Omg!!! Im so happy. The service I got was amazing. Steve is the best! He was so friendly and helpful in helping me get my car fixed. I had anticipated having to leave my car there and to my surprise. Steve called me and described each and every issue with my car. I am no mechanic so the fact that I understood him made me feel very comfortable with having this auto shop take care of my car. He told me what I needed to do, what we should do for preventative, and also suggested I take care of my breaks later on down the road. The most amazing part was when he told me my car would be ready today the same day I took it in.
I have yet to go to a service place where I felt safe and not like I was being taken.
I expect to make this my autoshop stop, as I know my car is no longer new and will eventually need to be serviced again. It would be unrealistic to think I wouldnt need help again.
I recommend this service center to everyone. Stop in and ask for Steve.
