The Terrace

we just had our wedding here on November 15^th 2015. the waterfall was nice to be married in front of and the food was very good.

We can’t say enough good things about The Terrace! My wife and I just got married there 11−07−15 and we loved it! Ray, the owner, really cares about his customers. His staff, Cindi, Laquana, Grace, etc… were all so caring, and worked extra hard to take the stress off of us. Everything fell into place perfectly, and every aspect of the wedding was splendid. Thank you Terrace for making our day amazing!

Recently looking for a venue to hold group luncheons every month for the next year and Someone recommended this place to me. After reading the response the terrace had written to APRILs review was a big turn off. I am surprised that a business with such «class» responds in such a negative manner. Its clear these allegations are true given the defensive tone and backlash. Its unfortunate because this place came highly recommended and i needed to book every month for the rest of the year. But id rather give the business to a place a bit more professional.

My wife and I had an amazing wedding planned at the terrace 8÷31÷14. The food was amazing, the music was unreal and the people that staffed our wedding did an amazing job. I would recommend this location as a solid venue that offers everything your wedding may need.

This was not my wedding. .but i saw the logistics and the caring involve placed on the every need of the wedding as a whole! I had a la at minute request to print and place a frame on reception table. …Amanda took it and got it done! Grace put all her heart and soul to make all the flower arrangements. She even went out of her way to placed each corsage and boutteniere personally to assure all was perfect. I can go on and on, but there was just so many great quality and personable staff all completely invested in their own role. I am so grateful how everyone was happy and willing to help. And the way Amanda was able to calm the bride and groom providing the needed assurance after the 1 hour delay of the start of ceremonies! Thank you for absolutely everything!

I was not the bride but I was someone important in the wedding. This place was not only just ok looking but the customer service was absolutely horrible. The owner is such a big cheapskate, when we came and did the rehearsal the AC was off and we were all sweating. We strictly told them how early we wanted to be there to get ready and the wedding planner agreed that if that’s what we want then we will get it. The wedding planner also told us we would have plenty of drinks the day of the wedding while we get ready that didn’t happen until we asked for it 2 hours into already being in the room. Not only that but when arrived NO ONE was there to open the door after 2 days before the wedding planner said it was ok.
The hair stylist had to do the girls hair outside and the DJ even left because he didn’t want to wait any longer. The owner was rude and the wedding planner just apologized because he’s old. I will never let any of my friends or family ever even think of planning anything here. If you’re a future bride, save yourself some stress and find a different place.
Oh and to top it off I counted a total of 4 roaches, 1 dead and three still crawling around.
Reply: Company replied stating I was imagining roaches And bride and groom were happy. That’s how you know the company is being unreal. I apologize if you’re upset with my honest review but, if you really did care about Future Couples being happy on their special day then you wouldn’t have an attorney ask me to remove my review even though only the truth was explained.

We had our Quinceanera there May 17, 2014 and everything was great. They worked really hard in the months leading up to our event. The food was great, their baker was great Jose@goldencake. Our coordinator Tamiko was great and her associate and staff were great. I would recommend this place for use and may use it if I have an event in the future. Donna P.

I had my wedding there last night and I am still floating on cloud nine. The vendors that they use for all of their services were fantastic! There was a staff change the week before my wedding and I was very concerned but they proved to me instantly that there was no reason for concern. I would recommend checking in on things frequently at the end to make sure it all goes the way that you want. We had a problem with the runners on the table and after they set it all up they had to go back and fix it because it was not what I had asked for. But they fixed it and everything was exactly as it should be when the guests arrived. The general manager (after the staffing change) was always available and checked in numerous times to make sure we had everything that we wanted. So many of our friends and family have commented on how amazing this event was. Thank you Terrace and staff I highly recommend your services!

I was not happy by the end at all my wedding was on 4÷19÷2014
We had planned this wedding a while year before it happened. Mainly because that’s how long it took us to pay it off.
First we went in and when asked how many guests we would have attending we told the anywhere between 60 – 100 guests. On the packet that was given to us it made you think that you were paying a set price for 65 – 125 guests. But in reality we had only paid for 65 guests. We were also told qhen we signed the contract that we would not have to have the exact number untill one month before the date. So we went back then and told her how many for 45 extra guests it was going to cost us an extra 4500 dollars. The only good thing was that mara did work with us to bring it down to 1600. But still very stressful.
Next was the cake. The baker Jose was ridiculous he never even showed up to 2 of my appointments with him and the only woman working in the shop did not speak English. The bakery if you can even call it that is located on Tropicana and the 95 it is a disgusting little shop that looks infested with bugs. When I finally did get a hold of him I told him that I wanted butter cream frosting so that it would not melt during the reception. When I arrived at the venue to get ready 2
hours before the verse started he had already delivered the cake and left it sitting out not in a fridge. As I was getting ready I was told that the cake had completely melted. When it was checked on he had used whipped frosting. He did take it back and fixed it but it was not returned until after the reception had started.
Also on the day of the wedding when I went to the changing room they had given my husbands changing room to another groom and moved my husband up stairs with all 5 groomsmen and ringbearers into a small room with the offices. this means that the lounge and game room that was a selling point was not available for our use. On top of this we were never told that there would be another wedding that day and when we had booked it we were told there was no one else that day except us.
The ceremony area had not been cleaned at all when we were told it would be power washed. There was still bird crap on it.
I also never received my flowers from their florist so I was not able to do my bouquet toss.
My husband and I are not drinkers and very few in our family drink so we opted out of the open bar. But they gave it to us anyway and also never once carded any of our guests which upset us very much. I had also ordered a few vegan meals for friends and family and none of the staff were informed about it even with me telling all of the servers my self. They kept bringing cake and plates of chicken to my vegan guests.
The servers never even brought my hisband and I cake at all. Didnt even leave it at our table.
The photographer was the only help to us during the wedding at all and the only thing that annoyed me was that he was rushing and missed out on good photo opts because he had to keep bouncing in between the 2 weddings.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. And if they try to charge me for the open bar I will be raising hell.

Very nice venue all the staff was helpful food cake and everything was amazing loved it. thank you mara, ray etc.

My high school booked this place for my senior prom — not too shabby, although the dance floor was pretty packed. We probably had 150 – 200 something students in attendance, and there was not enough room on the dance floor to fit all these students. But there was ample space outside for pictures and such. The atmosphere is intimate enough for a small wedding reception as well. Pretty much, The Terrace is a good place to book any kind of formal event; I never had any problems there.

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! I had my wedding here 9÷16÷13 and I have very few good things to say about this place. My husband and I really made a mistake by choosing this place.
Contract: Before we signed the contract I told Mara (coordinator) about what I wanted she says, «no problem, we can do whatever you want». Then after we signed the contract complete 360. We fought every step of the way. We were told it’s an extra $ 300 charge if you choose to have the pillars over the dance floor. Then when we decided we didn’t want the pillars the (Florist/​decorator) Grace completely went off on us. «Are you kidding me! I’m not taking them down! They don’t ever come down!» I mentioned to her that we were told it was optional and she said she doesn’t care and wasn’t taking them down and if Mara said you can take them down she can do it herself, because I’m not doing it. I was told there would be a staff handing the decorations, there was no one there helping us. Monica (coordinator) let us in to start decorations, but did not lift a finger to help us. My Aunt asked her to come down stairs to help, so she comes down and proceeds to argue with my aunt about whats in the contract. My family, husband and I decorated the venue. I brought waters for my guest, I was told I would be supplied with a bucket to put them in. It was a white trash can with a trash bag in it. I was told when the bridal party arrives they would be greeted with a glass of wine. And the groom’s party would be greeted with a beer and would have a grooms lounge. There was no drinks for either party and the grooms lounge was a mess. It looked more like a storage room, there were chairs stacked up all over the room that my family had to move them all out just to get into the room. There was one couch and a very warped ping pong table. We had to find someone to get the beer and wine we were promised, then we told we couldn’t have it even though its in our contract.
Cake: My husband and I scheduled an appointment 4 times with Jose (baker) and it all had to be on his time whenever he told me he was available. That was fine, bu every single time I scheduled with him for the times he asked, he had a different excuse everytime as to why he wasn’t there. We called him each time we arrived at the bakery and asked where he was and if he was still coming. We never met with him we scheduled times to meet he never showed up to any of them. Finally I told him I would give our order to Mara and he could get it from her.
Bottom line I feel that after we signed the contract the good service went down the drain. I think this place should care more about their customers. Brides shouldn’t have to decoration on the morning of their wedding and stress about the details not being right. You pay them to worry about that for you. Our cake, service, DJ, Food, decorations everything at this place was an isssue. EXPECT the photography. He was amazing. He was late, but amazing.

My husband and I were married here June 1^st. Mara was so amazing. She worked with us to make our day beautiful. We used everyone the Terrace offered except the officiant because we had a friend of the family who was willing to speak at our wedding. Our wedding was so much fun and it was because of the amazing team behind us. Thank you so much to Mara and her staff for making the day so, so amazing. So if you’re looking for a wonderful place to be married that won’t absolutely break the bank, choose the Terrace. It makes for great memories and a great time.

We were married here just this weekend and everything went really well. Mara goes above and beyond, takes the time to work with you and make sure you are more than happy with the planning for your day. The food prepared by the caterer was absolutely dilicious. The DJ was awesome and kept the party going. Limo driver was fun and flexible… he didn’t mind waiting a few minutes for me to get my stuff together and say goodbye. The flowers from her florist were spectacular! The minister was nice and worked with us on the wording. We haven’t received the photos or video back yet (it’s only been 3 days), but they were nice. If you’re looking for a budget friendly, all-​inclusive (less work for you) and beautiful venue for your wedding, prom or other special occassion, I highly recommend The Terrace.
Update 2 weeks later: There was a guy walking around the ceremony and reception with a video camera. None of us knew him and we thought he was our videographer. It wasn’t until a few days later when we went to pick up our photos that we discovered that Mara was supposed to have us meet with them separately and that the video wasn’t included. Turns out no one knew who he was, not even Mara and if it weren’t for my shutterbug friends I wouldn’t have any videos.
Mara said it was something I had missed but we went through all of our emails and paperwork and there was nothing ever mentioned about it. I’m sure she was embarrassed to admit the mistake, but trying to make it our fault was wrong. When I asked the photographer why he didn’t mention anything when they showed up at the bridal suite bc I would’ve signed and paid right then he went into overload and said, «you people think it’s really all about you! I don’t have it and don’t care!»
They were so good up until this point and then it felt like once they had their money they didn’t really care.
