Contour Med Spa

I would give Zero stars if it was available. My experience at this spa was a absolute nightmare! I went in for Laser Hair Removal and was appalled by the level of unprofessionalism shown to me by the technician (I can’t remember her name, mostly because she never introduced herself). First of all I was early to my appointment and had to wait over 30 minutes for the technician to call me in. When she greeted me she was rude from the start and proceeded to tell me that she wished she would have known I was black. It all went down hill from there. From that point on she was extremely rude and said she would not use the numbing cream on me because there wasn’t enough time, when I tried to explain to her that I was early for my appointment and I should not receive bad service just because she was running 30 minutes late she said «well I didn’t even have to tell you about the numbing cream». Ummmm really? She also kept mentioning the fact that I was black and seemed annoyed that she had to work on a black person. When I complained, the owner actually called me to apologize and was very nice about it but I will NEVER refer business to this spa and nobody should support a business who employs people like this. I will never forget how I felt when I left this spa and I hope nobody else ever has to experience it. DO NOT GO HERE, there are plenty other fine establishments in the Southbay for you to try out.

Best Medical Spa!!! Jennifer and her staff are amazing!

Jen is a complete wizard with the filler! I first went there to get my lips plumped and my smile lines filled in, but Jen suggested that I would greatly benefit by filling in the hollows under my eyes. I didn’t even know that could be done. She was right — it made a huge difference in my appearance — I literally looked immediately 10 years younger. The other med spa that I used to go to never even suggested such a thing. Yay Jen!

Prior to my last visit I had a good image of Jennifer, the first time I was there she didn’t over do the juvederm she placed on my laugh lines, it was just right, however when I went for Botox it was never a good result, I never saw the plumping rested effect I once saw at another place, the problem is that she uses old or left over Botox and I did not know this until I asked a dermatologist; when they use a vial of Botox they should throw away the left over amount, but in my case, she used it on me, I was very disappointed. I wanted Contour to be my go to place since I live in Hermosa beach, but now I must warn my girlfriends against visiting that business.

I was recommended by friend to come to meet with Jennifer at Contour Medspa, I was looking for a reputable place to get Botox injections to soften my frown lines. At Jennifer’s recommendation I had the treatment and did not see any improvement whatsoever! She told me to wait 2 weeks to see the results. After 2 weeks nothing had changed and I went back and got another botox injection, still nothing changed. I looked exactly the same as I did when I walked in a month before!!! Jennifer said the treatment did not work (which it was obvious) for me. I asked her if in that case I could have my money back since she DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR ME AND I WASTED MY TIME TWICE GOING THERE, and her answer was NO. No money back! Not even another treatment or a credit for future treatments. ZERO was what I got. In any business if you do not deliver what you sold to the customer then the customer should get a refund of his/​her money. Simple basics!

Love Nurse Jen! She gives me exactly what I want every visit. I never have a problem getting an appointment.

ZERO STARS! I gave one star because I had to. I made an 11:00am appt. for Botox. I arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I then wait, at 11:00am I’m brought back to the doctor’s treatment room to wait another 40 minutes. The place was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Clearly, I was the only one there. No doctors or other patients to be heard of. I finally decide to get up & go back out to the reception desk to tell her that I’m leaving. The receptionist proceeds to text the doctor (also owner) who then tells me that the doctor is going to be an additional 10 minutes late. I had already adjusted my schedule at work & could not wait any longer. So I left without treatment. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I am an esthetician myself & work at a 5 star hotel. I will not be going back & I will not be recommending this medical spa to any of my clients as well.

Contour is my favorite Med Spa! I have been many times within the last three years and have not once been disappointed. Amber and Jennifer are kind and accommodating.
My last treatment was an IPL facial with Jennifer… I love this nurse. She is professional and cares about her patients. I am 100% confident she takes into account every patient’s concerns.

I have nothing but compliments to give this palce and the staff. Claudia is the estheticist and she is simply phenomenal. I have been her client for years and recommend to anyone. She has soft hands, great and professional ways to explain all the steps of the pocedure and the best extactions ever.
Because of Claudia I met Jeniffer and decided to give it a try and have my beauty procedures done with her. No regrets… I love it. She explained my options and what the results would be, in details. She was very patient and professional. I am loving the results and will go back for sure.
On top of great professionals, the place is very clean and pleasent.

My go to place for Botox!!! I cant wait to go back and see Jen she is the BEST, I get the best results EVERY single time and I have had about 5 treatments over the past 4 years. I only took time away when I was pregnant and breastfeeding But I am sooooo thrilled to have Contour close by, I dont think I could ever trust anyone else, I even refered my mother for migraines and Jen took the best care of her too. Thank you Contour!

Contour is the best! Amber at the front desk is always very accommodating and appointments are easy to schedule and usually run right on time. I’m seeing some people mention that it’s hit or miss but I’ve been there over 5 times and have been in and out of there within an hour each time.
Jennifer is so sweet and definitely an expert at what she does. Not to mention, she’s gorgeous and who doesn’t want beauty treatments from someone who obviously takes pride in their own looks?! She’s professional and gentle which makes for a very comfortable environment.
I’m so happy with the results and will continue to go there for as long as I’m in the South Bay!

Yes, I am a beauty addict. I admit it and I am ok with it. My money, my face, my addiction.
I have read the below mega negative reviews and am shocked, as I have had a few trips here and nothing like the below happened.
First trip was for a facial, back before the Med Spa did a renovation. Though the facial was great, the lady that did my facial is no longer with them, so I cannot speak to that experience.
Next trip was for a special. They are in my neighborhood, so when I saw there was a botox and injectables sale, I thought, well, why not — walking distance! Woohoo! That and the nurse who I loved at my old place had left her job. I pre-​paid over the phone for a couple syringes of Juvederm and Radiesse and some Botox.
So the second visit there was a snafu — the front desk had written down the wrong info and so I wasn’t able to get my treatment. I was peeved, but Jennifer was very sweet and apologetic and said she wanted to treat me to a facial and a light peel.
I came back, had a nice facial and a peel, but honestly didn’t love it. Oh well — it was a nice comp.
But as for Jennifer, and the way she works — you guys have no idea how talented an injectables person is until they start working on you. And sometimes that is too late and too bad for you. But Jennifer is amazing. She really has an artist’s eye. It’s hard to tell how someone will look in 3 days (when the swelling is down and the filler really settles in which can be up to 3 weeks later) but she somehow figures it out. I may look a bit puffy for a day or so (and I have had bruising with her, but only once, and I think we have a solution now, which is for me to take arnica for 3 days before), but WOW how amazing do I look after that. I always get compliments that I look fresh and well rested.
Jennifer knows how much to put in the lips, the cheeks (other places have made me look like an alien!), the fine lines — she’s amazing. The pain is minimal with her. I am not super pain sensitive as it is, but she really is skilled. It’s all about the needle approach and puncture, and then how the filler is sub-​dermally applied, and she has it mastered.
So the people who don’t love her might have come on a crazy busy weekend day when the front desk can get a bit overwhelmed, but as far as Jennifer and her technique, well, she is phenomenal. The prices can be higher than some bargain places, but do you really want your face injected by a «cheapest in town» person? Sort of scary.
I have to say parking is a bit of a premium (there are spots underneath), but I walk from my house.

This was a Cloops worth buying. Clean, friendly and professional. I Would recommend this place to friends. This is what I would expect from this type of treatment center. Up to date equipment and privacy.

I have been going here annually for IPL/​genesis treatments. My skin has never looked better. This year I added on neck/​chest/​hands and I am again thrilled with the results. Jennifer is knowledgable experienced and will discuss all options with you to get the results you want. Appointment scheduling has been quick painless and the staff are professional and run on time. Last the prices can’t be beat. I am glad a friend told me about this place. I shall be returning

I’ve been to Contour Spa on 3 separate occasions, and every time has been fantastic!!! Jennifer is an expert as well as an artist. She recommended (not pushed) procedures and products that would give me the results I was looking for… and I’ve been thrilled with everything.
I’ve done 2 Laser Genesis treatments as well as their IPL/​Photo Facial laser. Both were practically painless, affordable, and the results were amazing. Approximately the price of a facial, however, my skin came out look so much better. The IPL removed brown spots, freckles, and sun damage from my face, and the Laser Genesis builds collagen and IMMEDIATELY gets rid of fine lines and makes my face *glow*.
I’ve never had a problem scheduling an appointment, which other Unilocalers had mentioned. I’ve even called day of, and Jennifer agreed to stay late in order to squeeze me in. I’ve recommended 3 other friends and family members to Contour… all who have been thrilled with their experience!

I’ve been going to Contour Med Spa for years now. Their staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and up-​to-​date on the latest technology. I’ve had amazing results from the Laser Genesis treatment. I suffered from rosacea and uneven skin tone. Jenn Baker and her team have completely corrected the problem, and now my skin looks terrific. Strangers stop me in public and ask me what I do to my skin… I am not kidding.
I also had the new painless laser hair removal done to my back and chest. Great results, and best of all, no pain. Their office is convenient, right off PCH in Hermosa, plenty of free parking, and they have great products too. This is the only med-​spa I will give my business to. Great job!

I’ve gotten about 6 – 7 laser hair removal sessions here. Each time better than the last. When they say pain free they are not kidding it’s true.

I saw great results after I completed my laser hair removal sessions. Gia and Jennifer were great. The only problem is setting up appointments… they’ve changed their hours so it’s a little difficult to get an appointment. I’ve never experienced any appointment misshaps, but I’ve heard from others that it happens quite often.

Rude! They do not honor their commitments. I paid over $ 2500 for two small areas, which included 6 treatment and free touchups for a year. I have less than a 25% hair reduction after 8 treatments. Then they’d no longer let me schedule touch up appointments inside the office. They said to call and make the appointments over the phone because they had to schedule like an airline!?! WTF does that mean? Needless to say, I stopped going.

I am an aesthetician for fifteen years. I have never written a review for a business before but feel compelled to now. I was referred to Jennifer, the owner, nurse of Contour aesthetic med spa in Hermosa Beach, through one of my clients. I had a Juvederm treatment as well as botox which I was pleased with. I found Jennifer to be very friendly and knowledgeable. The BIG problem with this place is that they DO NOT return phone calls. I have called Contour Aesthetic Spa now three times in the past two months with NOT even one return call. I needed information regarding the pixel laser procedure which I was considering having. Since I can not get a return phone call, I have booked myself in with a wonderful doctor who will be doing the procedure tomorrow. Yes, the prices at Contour aesthetic spa seem to be very reasonable but you get what you pay for. I understand people get busy… I do too. But there is NO excuse for not returning three phone calls… especially after I sent literally five of my clients over to Jennifer for business. I will no longer be referring my clients to her.
