Devra is an exceptional realtor and I would not hesitate to recommend her! I do not spend a lot of my Time on «Social Media»…nor do I review on Unilocal unless there is something Really Important to share. I do use Unilocal Reviews to access restaurants, carpet cleaners, etc. and so I rely on Real, Honest reviews. Which brings me to Devra McVicar-​Realtor Extraordinaire! Unless you have been through the process before you have no idea how good this Gal is. Purchasing & Selling a house involves a specific procedure based on law and requiring organization, negotiation and timing. Devra has her finger on the pulse of all of these. She anticipates roadblocks to avoid them so you breeze into your New Home with only happy faces. Honest!

Devra sold our neighbor’s house last year and we were impressed with her performance. We interviewed her for the sale of our home this Summer and her «comparative market analysis» and marketing plan was so thorough and professional, there was no need to interview any other realtor!
Devra is a small tornado of positive energy! Buyers and sellers love her enthusiasm. Not only is she friendly and easy to talk to, she’s also a very experienced realtor. She knows how to work with all the parties to keep the transaction moving forward. And she’s a great negotiator, which came in handy several times.
Devra also has a team of contractors that fixed up our house before the sale. With one exception (a contractor that over-​booked himself) the contractors did a great job. When a couple of problems came up, Devra was on the phone to resolve them quickly. The contractors worked to ensure that we (and Devra) were satisfied. And we were!
Our house was sold within 3 days with multiple offers. It was a smooth transaction and I’m so glad we had Devra on our team. I felt like she was looking out for our interests every step of the way. What more can I say? She’s a great realtor and I highly recommend her services.

Just bought my dream home in Hermosa Beach and Donald and Devra were amazing. We found them in the South Bay Axxess book (which is awesome) and from the very beginning they were great to work with.
They really read the Market well and when we got into a bit of a bidding war for our house they gave us the advice and used their combined experience to help us close the deal.
Their knowledge of the South Bay specifically was key as we weren’t really sure about budget and location and they were and enormous help dialing us in and deciding between Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan, etc.
I’m always a little skeptical with realtors but I have to say they are good, honest, hard working people that get the job done. And why not get two realtors for your money ?

I can’t say enough good things about Donald and Devra! We sold my husband’s condo and bought our new home through them and everything went very smoothly. It was my first home-​buying experience and it was much smoother than I was thinking it would be!
The condo had a few offers less than a week of the sale being posted and the sale was smooth!
The house we wanted was not entertaining our offer at first (because the condo sale was not yet finalized), but Donald and Devra kept checking on it for us and they accepted our offer about a week later! I can’t compliment Donald & Devra enough they went above and beyond all expectations. Last year my wife and I were in the market to purchase a single family residence and sell our town home. We got pre-​qualified for the loan and then met with Devra and Donald at their office to go over some of the logistics of selling and buying a home. They walked us through every step, I am a very fiscally conservative person I really do not like taking unnecessary risks so I had sought their counsel. After talking with Donald and Devra I had full confidence in their abilities. We hit the ground running, they helped us look at 50 – 60 homes in a matter of a couple of months. They really helped narrow down our search and we quickly had an idea of what we were looking for in our next home and where we would like it located. One day we finally found the home we were looking for, called Donald & Devra and they were genuinely excited for us. Thats another thing I want to mention, these guys really do care about finding your dream home. Their motivation is to try and get you exactly what you want, they are super passionate and hard working. They helped us get the house inspected top to bottom and helped us put together an offer. Donald got on the phone with the owner and his agent and talked to them directly. Donald talked to the neighbors for us and found out everything he could about the history of the home to help us make an informed decision. These guys really went out of their way to make sure we were getting a great deal on the house. At the same time Devra was making all the arrangements to sell our town home. The timing synchronized perfectly and they even helped us with getting contractors they trusted to help remodel our house. They made the whole process so smooth, it is a testament to how hard these guys work and how much they care about the people they represent. We are friends to this day and when we decide to purchase another home we would be fortunate if they would be willing to help us again!

Recently I bought a place with Donald and Devra as my agent. What can I say — I looked at around 10 places and with their help was able to broaden my criteria from a 2 bedroom condo to a 3 bedroom. Donald was very helpful with all the details and made sure I got as much as possible in buying a place. There was one place I really liked that someone else’s offer was accepted but it fell out of escrow and Donald was on it ! He and Devra submitted a solid offer and got accepted !
