This location was opened to fullfill the needs for a Botique Specialty Salon with unique and dynamic services in Consultation, Color Correction and Design, Hair Cutting and Design — for the South Bay. Bobby is an award winning stylist recognized both national and international for expertise in performance; and has taught Hair Color & Hair Cutting to other professionals desiring to be the best nationally for over 30 years. Due to the unique salon experience — appointments are required.

This is it! I’ve always been very satisfied. I get compliments all the time about my hair and I always recommend them to see Bobby. He styles my hair so that I can easily maintain it and do it myself. The place is so relaxing. I am completely pampered whenever I come here. I am a loya customer — forever! Congratulations to the stylists of Diversity for being the best salon in the Southbay.

I’ve never had a hair stylist really examine my face shape and my clothing style to suggest cut and color. Nancy does just that. For your initial visit, she’ll spend the time to really figure out your most flattering cut. I am so thrilled I found her. I’ve never had an experience like this. I also love that i’m the only client she is working on for the time i’m there. I’ve been going there for about 2 years or so and will be a client for life. Thank you Nancy!!! (Oh and she’s really sweet too!)

I have been going to Bobby for over 18 years now.
Now my entire family goes to the salon. The women in the family were used to going to their own stylists for years, when I mentioned giving Diversity a try, they were resistant. Finally they did tried it, and have been customers themselves now for 3+ years.

I have been going to Diversity salon for about 2 years now. Before Diversity I would hop around between places. I really like the way I am treated here… Almost like I am part of the family. I always leave happy ! Nancy does a great job !

I love this place — I have absolutely NEVER looked better. I’ve been going to Sean since this salon opened (I think it was 2009?) and he is just plain amazing. He’s knowledgeable and meticulous and knows what he’s doing. He can always figure out what will look good on you and recommend something if you’re not sure.
The best part is that it won’t cost you a million dollars. Like the other reviewer mentioned, they do flat-​rate «session pricing» which basically means you pay one price and get whatever you want done. There will never in the history of the world be a better price for highlights and a haircut. (And there’s none of that «Oh did you want a blow dry? That’s another $ 30.»)
I used to pay upwards of $ 250 at a fancy Brentwood Salon and it was painful to lay down that much cash every 6 – 8 weeks. I thought I’d found heaven when I found Diversity!

In a nutshell, this is one of Hermosa’s hidden treasures! I literally live a block away, & have walked by this salon numerous times since they opened back in May 2009, but I never gave it a second thought… that is until today! I desperately needed a cut & color, but I was never happy with any of the hairdressers I went to previously, so I knew I needed to find a new one. I looked up nearby salons on Unilocal,& the 1st one that popped up was Diversity. It had 5 reviews with 5 stars, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong! I called them & Sean was able to to get me in that same day. I thought I would just go in & tell him how I wanted my hair done… boy was I wrong. Sean took time to interview me asking many questions about not only my hair, but my lifestyle. With all the info I gave him during our consult, he presented me with what he thought would be the best plan for my hair. I gave him my complete trust, & he did not let me down!!! I love the color & highlights he chose for me, & the cut as well! He made me look & feel alive & vibrant again! I truly loved the entire experience at Diversity Salon… and I will definitely be going back to see Sean again!

THE BEST SALON EVER! I love it here! Very Boutique Salon for a very affordable price. Each one of them are a specialist and they really take care of you. They never rush you in and out they ask very detailed question about your day to day lifestyle so your hair will match. I went in one time undecided about highlights and my specialist recommended another option that I never thought of it and I loved it! It’s been my favorite color and style.
I’ve recommended a several friends and they love it here. They can’t believe how affordable it is and wish they knew about them sooner.
I haven’t met one person that has ever had a bad experience with them.

INCREDIBLE experience every time!!! I have been driving all the way from Huntington Beach for many years to have Bobby cut, color & most recently «Brazilian Blowout» my hair. I always leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and beautiful! Bobby listens to what I want, makes suggestions and works his magic to make my color look natural and my cut flattering and easy to style. As for the salon, it’s the perfect getaway… where I feel comfortable, relaxed and most importantly pampered.
