He is a former Chairman of The American Board of Periodontology. He has been Ethics Chair of his Dental Society and is Periodontal Peer review Chair for the California Dental Association. He is a Certified Dental Editor. The office is caring and honest and is always there to help their patients.
History
Established in 1980.
The business began in 1980 and has grown since that time, Dr. Drury was a full time faculty member at USC at the time of establishment and he still remains on the part time faculty. Referrals are received from all over the Los Angeles area, but primarily from the Southbay.
The focus of the practice has always been Periodontics. In 1985 the placement of dental implants was introduced. There is a strong emphasis on maintenance of Periodontal health and preventing loss of the natural dentition wherever possible.
The practice has been kept up to date with the introduction of the Surgical Microscope, Piezosurgery, and Digital Radiography. Dr. Drury has also been Course Director of the Current Periodontal Literature Course at USC for thirty two years making him acutely aware of recent advances in Periodontics.

Business Owner
Dr. Gerald Drury attended the University of Illinois where received his bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science. and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. He also has a M.S. Degree from the Medical College of Virginia, and a Certificate in Periodontology from LSU. He did an internship the the N.E. Florida State Hospital and an externship at Wesley hospital in Chicago. Before specializing, he practiced general dentistry in Fort Myers Beach Florida for four years.
He is a Clinical Professor and Course Director at USC School of Dentistry, a past President of the California Society of Periodontists, and past President and journal editor of the Western Society of Periodontology. He is a 27 year diplomate, past Chairman of the American Board of Periodontolgy, and a Trustee for the American Academy of Periodontolgy. He is also Periodontal Peer review chair for the California Dental Assoc., and Ethics Chair of the Western LA Dental Society. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists.
