Savanna specializes in vivid colors, balayage, hair painting, color corrections, vintage hair styling and makeup.

History

Established in 2016.

Beginning their education in cosmetology while still in high school, Savanna and Kerry both obtained a cosmetology license shortly after they graduated. As Savanna continued her education in numerous salons in the south bay, Kerry landed a job at a local barber shop in Redondo Beach where she discovered her passion for barbering. Shortly after she decided to further her education and obtained a Barber license, and gave almost 10 years to numerous barbershops in the Redondo Beach area. About a year ago, they both started working together under one roof, and although they were happy being able to work with one another daily, they really wanted to open up a space of their own that encompasses their own style and passion, they then found Salon Republic’s concept and «studio» setting to be the perfect place for it.

Business Owner

Kerry and Savanna are both south bay natives that have been making their mark in the beauty/​barber industry since 2007. Working for local salons and barbershops in the Redondo Beach area for over a decade they have developed a skill and love for traditional hairstyling and barbering with fine attention to detail for all hair types and textures. They have been known to give the up most VIP treatment to every client that sits in their chair, always making sure they leave feeling like the best version of themsleves. They stay inspired by all of the edgey styles of the punk rock and urban street culture but also have refined skills for high fashion and conservative hair cutting and styles.
