The Barboza Method is a blend of Yoga (stretching), pilates (core) and Ballet (alignment). It’s more than just another beach body ready workout class; it’s educational. My method provides you with body awareness, discovering any bad habits you may have and I provide you with the proper tools to break them. Utilizing the knowledge of proper posture and weight distribution, I teach you how to carry your body through everyday life. Neck, shoulders, knees, and back pain all stem from improper placement and alignment of your body. No weights, no machines. Just you, a mat and me, Stefanie Barboza. Through a series of body resistant movements, you will lose weight, become more flexible and lengthen your muscles while sculpting your body into a lean hourglass figure.
History
Established in 2012.
The Barboza Method is a unique blend of Yoga, Pilates and Ballet. I have learned the power of WOM (word of mouth) holds true, from a friend of a friend, to complete strangers asking for more and more. But it all starts with one; just one 60-year old woman’s need, not desire, to exercise. Her health was diminishing and her life depended on change. After going to many different classes and personal trainers, without any success, she tried one last time. This was no ordinary case so a workout routine was created around her physical capabilities. She lost weight, gained strength and flexibility and her health vastly improved. She became the talk of the town, and so it started. This method was created to help one and was shared to help many.
I continue to evolve, grow to share my gift with other students and teach leaders, offering private and public classes in Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Hermosa Beach.

Business Owner
Creator of The Barboza Method, which is derives from my many years of dance training, I began at the age of 3. Trained in both classical ballet & modern techniques
As a dancer you learn your body is your instrument & you need to take care of it. You cannot simply bring it out when it is time to perform. You must work on it every day, with good nutrition, exercise to tone, & strengthen, & with mindfulness on your posture & balance. This becomes a way of life & this idea is at the core of the workout routine that I have developed. If you ever walked into a Ballet classroom you will find the dancer’s on the floor, flexing, warming up. So it is no surprise that when ask to assist someone that had trouble working out & needed a no impact form of exercise that I went right to the floor. As I worked out the routine, I discovered that it worked for everyone, all ages, & level of fitness. That they benefit & are challenged by this floor workout. It aids in recovery from injury & health issues
