Eureka was a referral to me, and I am so glad i got them. Isreal(the main guy on the job) and his guys were THEBEST. Very professional and the price from the company was very fair and comparable with the others I called to get quotes from.(actually, Eureka had the best average price per hour, after getting 10 quotes). I would highly recommend them ANYTIME… Which I already have…

Wish I could give zero stars. First, Eureka is an independent agent for Wheaton Worldwide Moving and they(Eureka) were responsible for everything from the estimate to the packing and loading to getting things to the driver. From then on it’s Wheaton’s ball. Long story short, Eureka screwed up everything. Loaded our things on a truck and then stuck them in a warehouse for a week instead of getting them on the way to their destination(moving from DC to WA state) right away as promised. Then, over the course of the next several days they gave multiple conflicting and inaccurate stories as to where the driver was and when he would show up to get everything out of that warehouse. One example — the first story we got was that the driver was«delayed in NY because of bad weather» but would arrive here in two days. No one called us two days later to say he’d arrived so I called the cell number for him they had given us. He had not only managed to make it to DC despite the«bad weather», he’d kept on going — all the way to Jesup, GA, where he was when I called. He claimed no knowledge of a load waiting for him in DC, and Eureka staff — when we finally managed to get someone to reply to an email — claimed no knowledge of how or why he ended up in Georgia. Eureka staff were unresponsive and borderline deceitful throughout the process, but, again, that was only when we could get them to answer the phone or email. Most of the time they tried to ignore us. We finally got a call from Wheaton customer service(after I had left messages with two different reps) yesterday. A(different) driver did finally show up and load our things. But, even if he makes the time he thinks he will he probably won’t show up in WA until the last day of the original delivery window — and maybe later. They say they still don’t have enough info to give a better guess. And no info on his route was given. For all I know this guy will be taking the grand US tour. Someone from Wheaton is supposed to call me tomorrow with an update, so I’ll reserve my opinion of them until they either do or don’t call, how fast the driver can get to WA, and the shape of our belongings when he does. I made — and had to change — flights and hotel reservations once already due to Eureka’s bungling, but have to stick with our arrival date in WA now. Instead of having to spend maybe a night or two in a hotel awaiting our things, it’ll be a week or longer, and our cat will have to spend all that time in a kennel. Learn from our mistake. Avoid Eureka(at least the outfit in Herndon, VA) like the plague.
