I would go to Images for a bit when I first moved to the area, but am so glad I have found WorldGate. My nails would always chip almost immediately, the waxing room is DISGUSTINGLY dirty, one of the attendants is allergic to certain nail polishes so you need to switch your colors, and every time I’ve been someone had been eating their lunch WHILE doing my nails. I’m talking giving me a pedicure with one hand with corn on the cob in the other. You can’t make this stuff up.

I had an awesome experience at the Images Hair and Nail Salon last week. Lynn colored, highlighted, and cut my hair, she is wonderful. She listened to my requested and delivered outstanding service. I received so many complements from all of my friends. I also had my eyebrows and face threaded. I am going back for a manicure and pedicure next week. I highly recommend Images Hair and Nail Salon, they are«EXCELLENT» and provide great services.

I have been going to Images for 10 years and have always had Tinah do my nails every two weeks. She is amazing. She pampers all of her clients and takes pride in her work. She does her best to accommodate my schedule as I am a teacher and have limited times I can schedule an appointment. I highly recommend Images and Tinah(all of the ladies are great… you can’t go wrong with any of them) for anyone who needs nail attention! This shop has recently been acquired by new owners as of December 15, 2015. They too, are amazing! The salon is taking on a SPA atmosphere. Very relaxing! As for price, very reasonable and the location is convenient as Images is located in the Fox Mill Shopping Center, just off the Reston Parkway in Herndon/Reston. The negative reviews are due to the previous owners who did no take pride in the salon. You need to give Images a chance! You will not be disappointed!

I’m a bit annoyed at some of the recent reviews bashing this business — so I’m updating my review from 2014 — I’ve been a client for over 12 years — started coming since it’s close to my home but return every two weeks for mani pedis and monthly for cuts and color — recommend Tina for nails and Basma for hair — don’t drop in tho and expect these two to be available they book up quick so get organized and plan ahead — treat yourself stop by and get your Starbucks first Enjoy! DONOTWASTEYOURTIMEORMONEY! This place is absolutely filthy, the owners are disgusting and rude, and the services are terrible! I tried it more than once because of its convenience but will never go back. The pedicure was horrible and several toes were bleeding when I left, they burned my skin when waxing my eyebrows and actually waxed half of one completely off. My nails were crooked and the polish chipped in less than 24 hours because the polish was so old. They do not sanitize the tools and while I was in there, someone came in to complain because they got a fungus from getting a pedicure there. I could not believe how the owner was speaking to the customer… rude doesn’t even describe it. SAVEYOURSELFTHETROUBLEANDDRIVE A FEWMILESDOWNTHEROADFORDECENTSERVICESANDTREATMENT!

I was refused service because apparently they were too ‘busy’ when the store was clearly empty. I was told to make an appointed an hour and a half later, just to take ONE broken nail off. I told them beforehand how much pain the nail was causing me and that I was afraid to do it myself. Absolutely horrible costumer service, they didn’t even care! But I did go to hunter woods nail and spa, & they gladly & genuinely helped me with my issue, free of charge!

I gave this place 3 tries, & that’s been more than enough. I will be getting my manicures & pedicures elsewhere. Is everything sanitized? If so, it’s not obvious. Does the owner just sit in the front of the salon, being of less assistance than the outdated chairs & dryers? Absolutely. Did the women in the salon ask for his assistance with a broken sink & he refused to acknowledge them or the customer with the issue? Unfortunately so. These reasons, along with a very weirdly textured shellac manicure that’s somehow both tacky to the touch & sort of jelly-like, a nail tech who was all but present during her time with me, & an overall feeling that I really should be somewhere else, are why I will not be returning. If you want assurance that the tub your feet are soaking in & the tools being used are properly sanitized, pay a little more & go elsewhere.

This is a hair salon and nail place, and while I am not sure about their mani/pedi skills, I do know I will NOT be going back to get a hair cut. My stylist’s skills were mediocre and for what I paid including tip I was not impressed. My hair was in dire need of a trim… split ends galore… and so I asked for 2.5 inches off the bottom and long layers. She cut a little more than I asked, ok, no biggie, but the layers… oh geez they are not even and not well blended. $ 55 later and I am going to need ANOTHER hair cut.

Desperately needing a haircut, I visited Images Salon based on a friend’s recommendation. While my stylist did a fine job of trimming my hair, the salon isn’t very impressive. And my stylist and the stylist who sits next to her spent most of the session gossiping about a third stylist who apparently takes too much vacation. Not very professional. I’m afraid I won’t go back — it isn’t a very warm, welcoming or professional place. Still searching for my a salon that has the right balance for me…

Helen did a great job on my nails today, took a long time massaging my foot which was a bliss! Great price for a mani/pedi at a convinient location. They also have gel nail polish which I will try next time.

This place is awful. I can’t reallly comment on the hair services, as I only go to Trish and Tijon, who are both amazing with black hair. Although I have noticed that the manager dilutes the barbasol to the point of it being pale. Do not get waxed here, you will get burned. Not only do they wax you with supplies from Sally Beauty, the«room» that you get waxed in is a repurposed broom closet. There is barely enough room to lie down, and the door is never closed. Not to mention the fact that it looks disgusting, and they use a grody, old tube of neosporin to soothe their hack wax jobs. The only waxer with any drop of talent is Banu, who is a magician with eyebrows. But I have been burned every time I’ve gotten waxed here. I was hoping to save some cash by getting waxed at images, but it is obvious where they are cutting corners.

Four and a half stars. This is the closest to perfection I’ve come post-haircut. For once, the stylist didn’t look at me with a blank face when I asked for angled sideswept bangs. For once, I don’t feel like wearing a hat for three weeks until I can fix my bangs. Still fixing it once it grows out a bit, but it looks okay as it is. You know. Other than the whole I-look-12-years-old thing again. I called to make an appointment the morning of for Hong… only to be told that she had left them«a long long time ago» with no clue on where she went. Disappointed, I thanked them for their time and hung up. By lunch, I caved and made an appointment anyways because my hair was due for its 4 month professional maintenance, and I was going to be in that area Friday night anyways. I specifically requested someone good with Asian hair, and was told«no problem!» I was two minutes late for my appointment(hooray for being geographically impaired). There was one person waiting on her friend, two stylists at work, and two ladies standing near the door. The gentleman at the front desk said to the asian one, «Okay, can you take her appointment?» And she looks at me and goes, «But I’m leaving in 15 minutes.» Then he turns to the other one who’s obviously headed out the door to a beautifully sunny day, and convinces her to take me. So now I’m thinking A) Poor planning on assigning my appointment, and B) If this goes poorly I’m going to feel bad about tipping to reflect my experience because she was ready to go home. But, she was a good sport about it. Didn’t ask for much input, so I’m glad I was forthright about everything I wanted. Immediately got the vibe that I’m not the chatty type, so kept her banter to her coworkers. The scalp massage was just right, but the blowdry made me wince at a few points. She was pretty good about changing the heat settings just before it got intolerable though. Layering was minimal, which is great that she showed restraint with my thin hair. Sprayed my bangs into place to give me a finished look. She pointed at the floor as I got up and said, «You see that? All you. Four and a half inches.» I’m a terrible Unilocaler. I think her name might have been Dawn? Second chair on the left. Interior is a little drab; nails are in the back and about 6 – 8 hair stations towards the front. Good service, great value: $ 40 for shampoo, condition, cut, and blowdry. Not quite five stars because execution wasn’t perfect; I asked for a steeper angle than I received(possibly erring on the side of caution), and I feel like the product she worked into my hair ended up making me look older. I’m definitely up for coming back if my hunt for the perfect local stylist proves futile, or if I’m in a hurry and want to stay close to home.

I’m also a big fan of the stylist Hong. She’s really good and takes her time. Not a lot of people know how to cut Asian hair, but she does. She is Vietamese. She is friendly and really meticulous about doing a great job. I never leave disappointed and always love my hair. It is not your fanciest place, but it is clean. It also has a good variety of products: Aveda, OPI, dermologica, etc. Shampoo, Condition, Cut, and Blow Dry is $ 35, which is average price. Also, I made the mistake of going to the Hair Cuttery in the same shopping center. Half way through the hair cut I find out she’s a trainee and she made a mistake by cutting what I wanted to be an angled bob too short. I was left with a too short bob. I was so disappointed and will never return there.

There’s only one person that I visit in this salon and that’s Hong. She used to be the owner for this business. I think now she justs work there. In any case, I was referred to this place by my brother and haven’t gone to anyone else since then. Everyone in my family visits this place, as well as a lot of good friends of ours. It’s not the greatest of places when you see it from the outside nor is it very large. In my opinion, I don’t need to feel all that mushy and gooey inside when I want to get my hair done. I like to get in and out and not pay a fortune to have someone cut my hair. This place is great for that. The only complaint I have of this place is they do take a while to do your hair, but they do a great job. My hair cuts generally last 45 minutes and I’ve heard its the same for men.
