In addition to the comprehensive curriculum provided by the Montessori materials in the hands of our master teachers; our students also enjoy specialty classes in French and Music once or twice a week (depending on age). Optional after-​school classes may also be available at different times through out the year; such as Art, Cooking, Soccer, Dance, etc.

History

Established in 1971.

A group of 9 parents started this amazing Montessori school over 40 years ago and it has been serving the Reston/​Herndon/​Chantilly/​Sterling communities and beyond ever since.

We are the only non-​profit school for miles and most of our teachers and staff have been working with us for 10 to 35 years. We love our school and know you will too. Please come for a visit and see for yourself.

I joined MCS in May of 2000 and fell in love with this school and it’s community of families, children and staff. Over my 30 years in the Early Childhood Education field I have had the opportunity to observe MANY programs and I can truly state that this one is second to none in it’s attention, care and education of these precious little ones. Although my own children went to excellent programs, I still wish they could have experienced the MCS program. As a mom, if I could do it again, I would send all four of my children to MCS! I personally invite you to come meet our staff and tour our school, you won’t be disappointed.
