Overall one spirit martial arts is good. I’ve been a member there for quite a while and here are my current gripes: The place is rather small at the herndon location. With this place being so small, the combination of the powerlifters slamming weights all over the ground and the krav maga people with their shoes one the same mats that the mma and jiu jitsu guys put their face in worries me. The muay thai class isnt wasnt it used to be. The previous teacher was good. The current teachers are«ok» Any one can do what they do with some internet instruction. You pay 99 bucks for the class. Honestly that isnt worth it. If you arent self motivated to work out on your own then look else where. The muay thai teachers arent as motivating as they should be. But overall you get you more than ballys 99 buck workout. Where this place shines: Discounts when enrolling more than one member at a time. Discounts for military members. Brazilian jiu jitsu professor Pedro Sauer teaches there. Look him up on the internet. Great teacher and a great person in general. For the most part the jiu jitsu family there is friendly and knowledgable. Some higher level instru tors tend to overdue the warmups though. In closing this place is nice. And there are alternate locations that are good too.

We all know the gym routine: Change, walk around, lift a few weights, maybe the treadmill, visit the water fountain, stretch, scratch our arms while looking around, visit the water fountain, and change. For those wanting a complete make-over, you must visit OSMA’s Muay Thai class. Granted, this mixed martial arts(MMA) is not for the weary, but for individuals looking for a powerful alternative that will shape, sculpt and keep you motivated. I left a voice-mail for the founder of the gym after he encouraged me to call post-1st free workout. He has sinced asked me to reproduce it for their website: Dear Dave, Thank you for such a warm welcome yesterday evening before I attended my first Muay Thai class with 6 of my close friends and family. I cannot begin to convey what an amazing experience we all had. Master Sammy and Instructor Jack paid close attention to all of us and provided the proper guidance we needed as martial arts newbies. As a competitive triathlete, marathon runner, and someone preparing for a 50 and 100 mile ultramarathon this year; I decided to give Muay Thai a try in hopes of reaching a superior level of conditioning and perhaps even a competition in the future-I now know the demanding aerobic and physical workout is the perfect compliment to my routine. I NEVER sweat that much in any of my 4+ hr runs. I was on such an endorphin kick last night, I wasn’t able to fall asleep until 3am! As I searched and scoured the numerous training centers available in the area, the attentive attention I recieved from Brad, you, and your instructors is a shining example of the quality OSMA provides. Thanks, Dave. All of the individuals in our group of 7 are signing up and look forward to working with OSMA!

I just took a Muay Thai class and it really kicks your butt. The studio is small but for about $ 99 a month for up to 4 class every week(tues, thrus, fri, sun), it’s not bad. We came in a group of 7 so we can ask for a bigger discount. And the first 2 lessons are free so you can feel it out. They also have other martial arts courses.
