Palm Beach Tan

I love coming here. The staff is so friendly and even after two visits they remembered my name! They always have smiles on their faces and positive attitudes. The beds are new, always clean and the price is compatible with other places. This is definitely the place to get your summer tan!

So. I tried to use this $ 24.95 membership coupon on here last night and it is a huge waste of time. First of all, what it doesn’t tell you is you can only tan once a month with it!!! What kind of membership is that? And FYI their spray tans are SO over priced… $ 55 a piece. Other places are about 30 at most and there is a place in Fairfax that charges $ 15 after 10pm so I just went there. Palm Beach Tan salons on the west coast are no where near that price. So that’s how she tried to explain this one time a month tan membership was cost effective except you also have to pay $ 20 to start it LOL. Don’t waste you time. A spray tan is a makeup solution that wears off in a week or less. Anyone paying $ 55 without looking around for something less is either getting taken advantage of or really dumb. The girl at the front also had an attitude.

Been going here for 10 years. Have another great manager, Brock! It seems Herndon is the grab good managers area. All the nice ones leave. Please don’t take Brock! We have given corporate several can we keep one? This salon is always clean, I have been there different times of the day, year around, and again friendly staff and clean environment! ! Been here since it opened. Awesome place, have heard some rude customers while waiting. But the staff always handled things with a smile.

What is their new number? I am trying to cancel my membership, haven’t been in year, and the current number they have posted does not exist according to the machine every time I call them. Very unprofessional…

We came for a one time session while we were visiting the area.

This is the first time I’ve been angry enough to leave a Unilocal review. The staff asks you to sign a ton of paperwork, without ever asking if you’d like to read it or like them to print it out. They don’t give you a summary or any info on what you’ve signed for. They totally use it to rip you off and make bogus charges. They always try to pressure you into buying products even after you’ve told them you don’t need them. The tanning there is fine but it isn’t worth not knowing how much you will be charged and when or why. Don’t risk it! They will cheat you out of more money than you can imagine. The national representative on the phone when you call to work it out is extremely unhelpful and not even polite. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

They’re tanning deal is such a steal; 20 $ a month for their bronze beds. I’ve only had to wait for a bed once in the 4 months I’ve been a member here. Also, I’ve gotten irritation bumps on my legs from tanning at other salons before but it’s never happened here. I read that it happens because the workers don’t clean it well enough/​sanitize it enough, so I’m very happy with this salon and their cleanliness. They also provide goggles while other places made me bring/​buy them myself. I wish they had tanning stickers though!

Versa spa broken alot.

So this is my first bad review on here ever. I was really disappointed when I went into Palm Beach Tan for my spray tan tonight. I usually am greeted nicely and the ladies/​gentlemen always would take their time with me and be super helpful. Tonight was different. I haven’t been in a tanning salon in a long time and since now avoid sun exposure at all costs since I am actively in the skin care profession and know all about it. (That being the reason I was getting a spray tan plus being pasty white). I think the last time I got a spray tan was 5 years ago so I hardly remember anything about them or what the protocol is once you are inside the room. The girl seemed distracted anytime I would ask her a question or recommendation she just seemed to say anything so she could get back to talking with her friend about someone not texting her back earlier. As I was finishing up I tried to ask her how it works once I get in the room but instead she interrupted me and instead just told me I am in room 14 then went on to check someone else in. Now I understand if it’s busy, but it wasn’t. This was at 9:30pm on a Monday and when I walked in they were the only people in there. I am not sure if it was a friend or a fellow coworker but neither one stopped to show me the room and give me some quick instructions. Any time in the past where I have gotten a spray tan I was always brought to the room and they gave me brief instructions on what to do. She clearly had no patience for that. I rarely have anything to complain about and I hate giving bad reviews based on one employees performance but I also work in the customer service field and regardless of what’s going on in your personal life or what not that customer could be supporting your paycheck or if not that writing a bad review because you didn’t have a little more courtesy and patience to help them.

This Palm beach is my overall favorite place for a tan! The staff is amazing and so kind! minimal waiting time and the rooms are always clean. Not to mention when you get the spray tan they supply the glasses, hair net, nose filters and lip balm totally free of cost (Katie is the best!)

I would recommend this place. It’s always clean and all the staff is usually friendly. The beds work wonderful. The staff is always able to answer any of my questions. They run a lot of promotions which are great. Overall, this is the best tanning salon I’ve been to. I highly recommend it.

The ladies working the front desk were warm and inviting with my recent, first visit. They showed me around the salon, which boasts two bathrooms, a big vanity with toiletries for touch-​ups and lots of beds! I have a Level 3 membership and have been with Palm Beach in Richmond, VA since October. I am moving to this area and considered canceling my membership to save money, but the service I got today has changed my mind!

Had a wonderful experience here today. Sara was a wonderful help and super knowledgeable about all of the lotions. I usually go to the leesburg location right by my house but the herndon location is close to my work so I think I will start using this salon after work more. Everyone was super nice. Sara in particular made me feel so welcome! I like both salons but I really felt comfortable here! :)

Place is clean, staff is friendly.
My only issue is that they push the lotions a bit too hard. I own a business and I understand that they make good margin on product, but I think me saying «no thank you» once should be enough and I shouldn’t need to justify my decision or fend off an attempt to make me feel guilty. There is a difference between a consultative sale vs. a pushy, «gotta hit my numbers» sale. It should be a pleasure to do business with them vs. me feeling the need to put my shields up every time I walk in the door.

Love this place. I have gone late and had no wait time and I’ve gone first thing in the morning. The staff is very friendly and explained everything to me when I first signed up. I go in and I get out.

This is one of my favorite Palm Beach Tans. The staff is always friendly, the beds are always clean and they are always up front about wait times during busy season. I have tanned at a couple of other salons in the area over the years, and as a whole PBT is far superior. You get exactly what you pay for.
I wish they would get either an I-​dome or a Sun Angel at this location, but it’s still a great store none the less.

This place is great. The rates are affordable. Its an easy in and out and you actually get color! As a bonus… the staff is nice too. Decent prices and great staff. Clean and fast on wait time. Alex is one of the best here.

I think I have a sunshine button… that is to say, I love the Spring and Summer months when days are longer and I can feel the warm rays beaming on my face and shoulders. When Winter comes around and days are shorter and darker, I just don’t feel as happy. Enter PBT of Herndon. They offer a bit of happy sunshine even during snowmageddon using beds that are clean, relatively new, and seemingly well maintained. You can filter out damaging rays to your face by turning off the facial tanners on the higher end beds, and getting inside one of the ultra-​modern ones with tons of buttons, lights, and vents feels a bit like climbing into a spaceship:-). The line of skin care products is formidable and there is always a discount of 30% once you sign up for a subscription at the diamond level.
Another great service I use (more frequently) is the Versa Spa spray bronzer. It takes about 10 minutes, looks very natural, includes an anti-​aging moisturizer, and lasts for almost a week. You can choose the level (I choose lev 1 during winter and 2 in warmer months) for a natural glow all year round without any UV whatsoever. They also have some «at home» products that let you touch up in between visits, but it is a bit pricey.
The girls are always friendly and helpful when I visit; they remember the regulars and accommodate requests. I sometimes do a «cocktail» which includes a few minutes in the regular tanning bed plus a sunless bronzing spray visit. This place is open until very late on week nights and until 9 on Sundays so it’s convenient for me to use.
